The service is always warm and welcoming, and the friendly atmosphere has never changed. We've come for both lunch and dinner, and we've never been disappointed. On our most recent visit, we tried the bavarian sampler, and it completely blew us away. Every bite was packed with flavor, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Over the years, Sutter Buttes Brewing has become one of our favorite comfort spots, whether it's during the fall, winter, or summer. It's the kind of place where you always feel welcomed and know you'll have a great meal and excellent service. We shared the black forest ham spatzle ( not sure if I spelled it correctly) which is a German inspired dish. It was delicious! Noodles cooked perfectly with plenty of ham and goodness in the bowl! First time I tried something a bit different and glad we ordered this ( came specially for this house favorite). Full bar and a ton of craft beers to choose from! The place is bicycle themed with a bike shop next door. Very cool and casual! When we left it was already very busy! When the waiter brought my drink, I immediately noticed it didn't look like a traditional Piña Colada, and after tasting it, I confirmed it certainly didn't taste like one either. I politely asked if I could exchange it for a different drink. The waiter returned and said the manager wouldn't allow an exchange but would offer me 50% off instead. I explained that I wasn't happy with the drink and simply wanted to order something else. The manager came over and explained that the menu includes a disclaimer stating the cocktails are made with soju instead of the traditional liquor. In my opinion, the waiter should have mentioned that when I ordered, especially since it significantly changes the flavor. I hadn't noticed the disclaimer--I simply ordered what I thought would be a classic Piña Colada. Unfortunately, I was still charged half the price for a drink I didn't enjoy and wasn't allowed to order a replacement. The manager emphasized that it was too expensive for the restaurant to remake drinks, which I found disappointing. I've never had an experience like this at any other restaurant. On a positive note, I ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. That was the highlight of the meal. However, the service was also lacking. Our waiter was slow and couldn't answer several of our questions without repeatedly leaving to ask someone else. They have a pretty solid beer selection-beers tend to go for anywhere between $7-$8 a beer-not too bad in my opinion.Though they do offer a pretty unique item called "Das Boot" which is a pretty large boot that cost $40 and comes with a fill up at time of purchase and 20% off on future fill ups-though not sure what the original cost of a fill up is exactly.
