It's my second time here and and I got to sit inside this time the music is super relaxing and chill. McKenna and McKayla were very nice and friendly, they gave us a heads up on the wait which ended up only being 5 mins compared to the 45 min wait that they had told us haha. The food was bomb especially the Aloha Royale it's so good the way it is already but even better when you throw in some tapatio I highly recommend this plate for your first time! Super nice service by cashier and manager. However, the waffle and chix plate was bland even though it was executed with perfect technique. You could deduce that the batter was a box product like Krusteez waffles & pancake mix. The saimen noodle soup does not have the char siu pork slices you come to expect when ordering. I didn't want to take a chance, so I asked the cashier if it came with the Chinese bbq sliced pork and she said, "yes", but it was MIA. I have been to Aunties a few times and have enjoyed it each time. It's the closest I've found to being back on the islands. Aunties fried chicken is a solid choice. The chicken isn't over breaded and with just a touch of sweet. The spam musbi is made with soft fluffy rice and a nice slice of spam. The rice to spam ratio is close to being perfect. Terrible service. I called on a Saturday around an hour before it was suppose to close and no answer. I tried 9 times over 30 mins before I gave up. There was one time I picked up an order there and after I paid and putting my wallet away the service person left the front and was talking to people in the kitchen they were chatting and laughing the phone up front was ringing and no one came out. I ordered the loco moco, which cost around 11 dollars with tax. It is a seemingly simple dish, rice, egg, gravy, and a hamburger the size of a grown man's hand. What I got was enough food to feed literally two people, or just me, because I hadn't eaten for 24 hours. I don't know anything about Hawaiian food other than it comes from Hawaii. Suffice to say I did not expect this much food. The portions here are generous for the pandemic, and was delicious. It's also kind of something I don't think most Americans/mainlanders have tried. Burgers and gravy go really well together, I wish they served this all over the state. I plan on coming here again for their kim chi loco moco because the first one was so good. Just ate here for the first time this past weekend and it was great! I'm a big fan of Hawaiian food but have to watch my intake cause lots of white rice plus processed meats plus fried chicken makes for a big ol belly. Anyway, my husband found this place on Yelp so we went for Sunday breakfast. The space is nice and bright, clean, with a decent amount of seating, including booths. I ordered the karaage and waffles while my husband got the moco logo with bacon fried rice. We also got a free spam musubi for checking in (the waitress actually told us about it.. so nice!). Everything we got was delicious and filling. Even by toddler was happy with the selection. Service here was great. Even though you order at the counter and grab your own table, the cashier and the waitstaff were all super nice. You can tell it's a mom and pop type place and they took pride in what they were doing. Downside to this place is the styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. I wish they had real dishware (even if it's plastic) for people dining in. Shari's fried rice had no taste and very little meat. It lacked salt and soyu, the rice was dry, they need to cook it with more oil. Basically their food was unedible! Parking here can get really tight during the peak lunch and dinner hours with all the eating places and other businesses in this plaza. This place recently opened a few months ago it is the sister restaurant of TNT in Torrance. There is a fairly good amount of seating here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Met and talked with the owner sorry I forgot his name he was really cool to talk to. The food selection here is that of the OG Hawaiian dishes not all of them since some items they couldn't put on their menus due to the courtesy of Teri Hawaii and other restaurants near by it's some sort of rule/agreement among the restaurants. They do have a good selection of dishes and breakfast is served all day. I got the breakfast Portuguese sausage and eggs. I'll be back to try more.
