The portions were quite large. My daughters/toddlers could have shared the chicken and fries, it was a lot. The Banging Chicken and Dragon Noodles were great. We also ordered strawberry smoothie, a berry smoothie and Acai bowl, which were all very tasty too. We found this place on Google maps and I'm glad we stopped by. If you're not coming to Sausalido Cafe you're missing out on more than just great tasting food! I've been here a few times and the owner, Julius, is always there greeting you when you first walk in, welcoming you with a genuine "hello" and bright smile whether it's your first time or you've been before. I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and knew I was going to get the curry puffs. The last time I ordered these I was with a friend and had to share but not this time. I was on a solo lunch and looking forward to the puffs! To say they are "perfect" seems insufficient. They were fried incredibly well, hot, crunchy, tasty, but never greasy. And these little puffs were filled with minced beef, potatoes, and seasoning! For my main dish, I chose the dragon noodles (pad thai) with chicken. All the veggies in the dish were cooked perfectly, nothing too mushy, just the right amount of crunch/bite to the cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. And the chicken was chunky! And while I loved everything about the dish, the sprinkling of the crushed peanuts was *chef's kiss*. There's no skimping on those peanuts here. As I write this I'm excited for the leftover noodles waiting for me. When you walk into Sausalido you really do feel welcomed. The space is unassuming in the best way possible. Posters of the drinks they offer (coffee, smoothies, boba) adorn the walls, along with pictures of the various food items they have. The restaurant is across the street from Alondra Park and there are other businesses in the center. So, if you need to do your laundry do that and grab a meal at Sausalido. Get a massage and then get food at Sausalido. Get your nails done and head next door to Sausalido for a treat. Get here and get here quick! read more

I found this restaurant because I get my nails done in the same plaza (great nail spot FYI lol) but decided to grab some food on my way out. I I'll admit I was a little confused as to what kind of food The images on the windows showed Asain dishes but also acai bowls and I had never seen a hybrid restaurant like this. Came in around 10am. There were 2 other tables before us. We ordered the dragon noodles (basically pad thai) and a breakfast plate with (bacon, eggs, and pancake). We added hash browns for 5.50... tbh think 5.50 is a steep price for the amount. From ordering to getting our food took at least 30 minutes which I didnt understand as there were only 2 other tables (2ppl and 3ppl) The bacon and eggs were your typical bacon eggs. The pancake was actually pretty good. As for the noodles it tasted like pad thai really nothing special. I like my pad thai with the sambal sauce or something with a little vinegary. I asked for it to be slightly spicy... didn't do much to the plate. It just tasted like Tapatio. All in all for the time and money I wouldnt go back. After seeing such nice reviews I decided to stop in at this place. I didn't have time to dine in so I ordered my food to go. Brace yourself...the owner has a rooster sound for his doorbell! I was greeted warmly and my order was taken from a broad Pan-Asian fusion menu that has some classic American breakfast favorites, as well. The owner sat and visited with me while my food was being prepared, and it was a pleasant conversation in their homey dining room. The dragon noodles were very good...they had a nice amount of heat on the back side without blowing your palate, but feel free to order them extra spicy if you like it hot. Friendly service, fresh food, and delicious flavors. Sausalido café has it all. It started when I took my mom here. We all loved the food, and I've been coming back ever since. It also has my absolute favorite green curry, a great iced coffee that really highlights the coffee rather than oversweetening it to disguise the the natural flavors, and a Dragon Noodle which at medium spice will really knock your socks off without being painfully spicy. I don't know what kind of chili they use, but it is not like any I've had elsewhere, and it is absolutely delicious. The owner is a delight and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The vibe is a little more casual, certainly not a formal kind of place, and that serves to make you feel like you're seeing an old friend rather than walking in as just another customer. Torrance Food Crawl #430 Sausalido Cafe is a small family-owned restaurant with a menu that is primarily Pan-Asian fusion but has worldwide coverage: Asian (noodles and more), American (breakfasts and sandwiches), coffees, ice creams, smoothies, fruit bowls, and more. I've primarily tried the Asian dishes. The Dragon Fried Rice (hint - the word 'dragon' might be a clue that this is spicy) was a very nice basic fried rice dish. You can adjust the spice level to your liking. Everything here is prepared on the spot, so they can easily adjust the spice levels or contents if you have special dietary requirements. The Dragon Noodles (basically Pad Thai) was excellent, slightly sweet, with lots of noodles and vegetables. I ordered this with mild spice. When the owner checked on me, I made a comment that it was mild, but very nice tasting. He provided a sample of their dry spice that I could add to my meal, commenting that the spices came from several different areas, including Asia and Africa. I had trouble placing the spice, but when I heard that part of the blend came from Africa, I understood my confusion. The sandwich and breakfast items have been solid, with traditional American choices. There are numerous fruit and sweeter drinks on the menu, which I haven't tried for personal health reasons. I've usually been here in the afternoons when it was fairly quiet, but the place gets busier on Saturday morning. Service has always been personal, friendly, and helpful. They were very friendly upon arrival. This place is nice and clean! (Although I ate in my car because I was washing- they even brought it over to me) awesomeness!!! Upon getting the bagel I noticed it was not greasy at all and it even had a special sauce that added value to my bagel. It was scrumptious! I will try more of their items next time. My son had some tenders and my husband and I did the avocado toast. Food was right on point. My husband and I had the best lavender oat milk lattes ever at the cafe. Who I assume to be the owner and the cook came out and chatted with us. He was very kind and nice. After we left, my daughter realized she left something behind.
