    Sausage Breakfast Burrito

My hubby loved the burrito! The hash browns had a nice crisp & he loved the salsa. (For someone who only likes homemade salsa) I had the Hawaiian French toast combo I thought it was a good sweet and nice texture. The server we had was great, very attentive. The inside was nice. Had a chill host at the front (shown in picture) 10/10 would be back again.

First of all, the service and the staff here are just wonderful. They are very friendly and good at checking on customers. The space is really inviting and has a local feel to it. Lots of tables and seatings, also has outdoor seatings too. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of the area. For the food, I really enjoy the options available and its competitive pricing. I do have to say that their food is slightly on the sweeter side for me. We got the grinders bowl and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The macaroni salad was excellent and rice was so fluffy and soft. The salad is just ok but it's a good start. Portion was large but not as big compared to other Hawaiian places. I'm surprised they don't have chicken or pork katsu on the menu. The sweet bread toast was also delicious.

Solid comfort food tucked away in south Torrance. Service is prompt and friendly. Coffee is good, not watered down like many places. Ambiance is beachy/chill. Located in the same shopping center as Sprouts and H-Mart off PCH & Anza.

Let me premise my review with saying that had I received my correct order, I think it would've been a five star. I ordered the sausage burrito and was given a bacon one. While seemingly not a big deal, it was a bummer to pay for and eat a meal I hadn't ordered, and by the time the waitress came out to check on our food it didn't seem worth saying anything. However, I do think the food here is quality. It seems they have a lot of authentic Hawaiian food, and the prices are pretty normal. I really enjoyed their salsa which seemed to be really fresh and authentic. The servers were nice and the food was good. I'd really like to come back and try something I'd prefer over the bacon burrito!

after always admiring the Facebook posts, i decided to finally review! We have eaten here since they were at the previous location and eat here every time we come back down to visit. on our way home from our last disneyland trip we stopped for breakfast, which is our usual for on the way home. Unfortunately i don't even renew that breakfast or even taking the attached picture. Sometime during the trip i had contracted meningitis and wound up in a coma and on a vent. I'm not saying this as a poor me, but as a thank you for good memories of all of those going home bread stops and more to come in the future! i was hoping to be well enough to return this year, but am not quite ready yet. so if menengitis can't keep me from the teriyaki sauce, it must be good! PS love the employees, atmosphere, and everything about them

I suppose I should have read the reviews more. Or paid attention to the fact that breakfast items loom large on the menu. This is mainly a breakfast place. I ordered a Teri plate lunch ... the most basic of the building blocks for any Hawaiian restaurant. The side salad, while a nice idea, was so sad. Iceberg lettuce, sort of chopped, and about half a tomato swimming in a sea of sauce. The chicken was small chunks of tasteless cubes with a side of teriyaki sauce. The noodles were fascinating, never had that style served this way The restaurant was also cash only. Fortunately, I'm a boomer and carry cash.... My grown kids, however, aren't sure what paper money is. There are sooo many good Hawaiian restaurants in the South Bay. I can really recommend this one.

5-Star Yelp Review for Ena at Urban Plates…read more Every time we visit Urban Plates, we look forward to seeing Ena. In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, Ena consistently goes above and beyond and reminds us what true hospitality looks like. From the moment we walk through the door, she greets us with a genuine smile and makes us feel welcome. What really stands out is that she remembers us. It's not just a quick hello--she takes the time to recognize familiar faces, remembers details from previous visits, and makes every experience feel personal. That level of care and attention is something you simply don't see very often anymore. Ena always goes out of her way to ensure everything is perfect. Whether she's helping with recommendations, checking in to make sure we're enjoying our meal, or simply making us feel valued as customers, her professionalism and kindness never go unnoticed. She has an incredible ability to make every guest feel like a VIP. The food at Urban Plates is always fresh and delicious, but it's employees like Ena who keep us coming back. She consistently delivers exceptional service with a positive attitude and creates an atmosphere that makes dining here a pleasure every single time. Thank you, Ena, for your hard work, dedication, and for making every visit such a wonderful experience. Urban Plates is lucky to have someone who genuinely cares so much about the customers she serves. If you're dining here and have the pleasure of being helped by Ena, you're in excellent hands. Highly recommended, and well-deserved 5 stars!

The area is always nice, clean and organized. Staff is always super cool with great customer service. Seating area is good, especially since it is shared amongst the other Enclave businesses. Their cute little boxes with the logo make it look hella trendy; which fits their whole atmosphere. The actual salad wasn't bad and I would think vegans would really really really like this place more than us. Their chicken was seasoned pretty damn good. Wished there was more greenery, mandarin oranges for what we paid, but it's expected for a place like this. Stoke Salad is totally worth trying even at least once! We placed a pickup order through DoorDash around 12:40 PM and everything was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. We ordered two Chicken Jalapeño Ranch wraps (for myself and my mom), and my brother got the Steak Honey Crunch bowl with added egg and crispy noodles. Unfortunately, they forgot to add the crispy noodles to his bowl even though it was an extra charge, which is the only reason for the 4 stars -- but honestly, it didn't ruin the experience at all. The food was STILL amazing. Everything tasted very fresh, fulfilling, and portioned perfectly. I'm especially OBSESSED with the charred jalapeño ranch dressing sooo good! We also grabbed the peach oolong iced tea, which paired perfectly with the meal. I also wanted to shout out the customer service because it really stood out to us. The Black gentleman with glasses at the front was incredibly kind and polite, and the woman preparing my wrap worked quickly and efficiently without having us waiting long at all while finishing up my order. The inside and outside seating areas were also spacious and looked like a nice place to sit and enjoy lunch. Definitely a spot we'd come back to again!

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.
