Very cute Hawaiian menu,influenced, breakfast and lunch diner. The space is small but the staff here are very welcoming and friendly. This is a full service restaurant. My friend and I ordered the same #5 Hawaiian: Portuguese sausage, homemade hash with corned beef. It comes with 2 scoops of Japanese rice, Hawaiian Sweet bread and 2 eggs! It also comes with a small tub of teriyaki sauce. I really didn't taste any corned beef hash. I should of taken a photo, but when I looked, it was mostly bland hash browns. I should of asked for Extra Crispy Hash Browns. The Portuguese sausage was tasty and flavorful! Without the sausages, this dish was very very bland. I won't order this again. The presentation was just okay. They have curry, salsa or gravy as a side order! Those items would of made this dish more flavorful! I would of liked a bit more corned beef, as it was hidden underneath the eggs and I didn't really taste it.Next time, I will try some of the other items Juan, our server said they have musubi! This spot is a nice neighborhood gem. I would highly recommend ordering the grinder combo and then mixing it all together shout out to our server Cissy for the suggestion, it was delicious. I would definitely stick with the plates, rice bowls, or breakfast as my teriyaki burger was not great and certainly well below expectations . First of all, the service and the staff here are just wonderful. They are very friendly and good at checking on customers. The space is really inviting and has a local feel to it. Lots of tables and seatings, also has outdoor seatings too. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of the area. For the food, I really enjoy the options available and its competitive pricing. I do have to say that their food is slightly on the sweeter side for me. We got the grinders bowl and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The macaroni salad was excellent and rice was so fluffy and soft. The salad is just ok but it's a good start. Portion was large but not as big compared to other Hawaiian places. Food was simple, but ONO! Had a fasting blood test and needed food. Saw many bakeries and Starbucks (yuck). CGM alarm screaming, "EAT!" Then I remembered this great little place on PCH in the same shopping center as Sprouts and Michael's in Torrance! Perfect! Two eggs, two scoops of rice, piece of Hawaiian bread and two delicious pieces of fried Spam! Oh the memories! They included a small container of teriyaki sauce (used spar8ngly). Let me premise my review with saying that had I received my correct order, I think it would've been a five star. I ordered the sausage burrito and was given a bacon one. While seemingly not a big deal, it was a bummer to pay for and eat a meal I hadn't ordered, and by the time the waitress came out to check on our food it didn't seem worth saying anything. However, I do think the food here is quality. It seems they have a lot of authentic Hawaiian food, and the prices are pretty normal. I really enjoyed their salsa which seemed to be really fresh and authentic. The servers were nice and the food was good. after always admiring the Facebook posts, i decided to finally review! We have eaten here since they were at the previous location and eat here every time we come back down to visit. on our way home from our last disneyland trip we stopped for breakfast, which is our usual for on the way home. Unfortunately i don't even renew that breakfast or even taking the attached picture. Sometime during the trip i had contracted meningitis and wound up in a coma and on a vent. I suppose I should have read the reviews more. Or paid attention to the fact that breakfast items loom large on the menu. This is mainly a breakfast place. I ordered a Teri plate lunch ... the most basic of the building blocks for any Hawaiian restaurant. The side salad, while a nice idea, was so sad. Iceberg lettuce, sort of chopped, and about half a tomato swimming in a sea of sauce. The chicken was small chunks of tasteless cubes with a side of teriyaki sauce. The noodles were fascinating, never had that style served this way The restaurant was also cash only. Fortunately, I'm a boomer and carry cash.... My grown kids, however, aren't sure what paper money is. There are sooo many good Hawaiian restaurants in the South Bay. I can really recommend this one. read more

Best way to start the week! While I love the breakfast burrito, #6, and hawaiian French toast; I cannot resist a side of the regular hawaiian toast. It is a buttery, crispy wedge of King's Hawaiian bread. Not even King's Hawaiian uses the round loaf for their toast!!! Honestly, everything is pretty yum, the service is good, and it's local. Came to this place for breakfast and when most places in the area are packed for breakfast this place is dead. There are only 1 table with 2 people in only. I was looking at there menu from 1 year ago for the 2 pancake special which it was $8.75 and 12 month later it's $12.50 and that is almost a 25% increase or $3.77 more than last year. Ordered the 2 pancake special at $12.50 2 Medium size pancakes - No flavor, flat and cold Eggs over easy came out well done Sausage was small and cold All the food was served on cold plastic plates. When you serve food on cold plates it sucks all the heat from the cooked food. Overpriced for below average breakfast. I try to help local businesses but the Crap they put out for that price is just not worth it for what they are charging and explains why this location is dead!!!!' Best Hawaiian in the world. I've truly been around the world and visited 88 nations and done over 20 trips to the Hawaiian islands--Every single one of them! There is no place like home... And that home for me is eating a hapa at beach hut. Hopa means someone or something of mixed race. It's when two things come together and these two are better together than they are individually. My opinion is the best meal here is the Hopa because it gives you the best teriyaki steak, the best teriyaki chicken, incredibles scrambled eggs, rice, and a fried wonton. But don't forget the extra sweet bread and tell Angie that Mark sent you because she makes the absolute best teriyaki sauce in the world! I've been eating at this place since 1989 back when they were in Hermosa Beach. No other Hawaiian restaurant in the world does it like this! Not even in Hawaii! Get there early because they close at 3 PM and make sure that you check online to see if they're open that day because they typically close on Tuesday. But it is well worth getting up early and there's nothing like this place! read more

If you're looking to catch a casual bite to eat, Hawaiian style, this is the place to come. Located in a strip mall, the place is clean and the staff are on top of it. I ordered a coffee and received a couple refills. I enjoyed my breakfast, which included teriyaki steak, eggs, two scoops of rice, and sweet Hawaiian bread. I found it to be a tasty breakfast, something a little different than the ordinary bacon and eggs. Not too expensive either, less than $10. The menu options are very Hawaiian, they even offer spam. The Beach Hut is one of those quick and easy places to get your eats on. I would imagine that the best way to describe this place is casual dining. The interior is clean with some well spaced tables for two or more people. The cuisine here is stated to be based upon Hawaiian ideologies. I don't know about that, but what they do have is some cross-cultural food that is all pretty good. If you want a hamburger you can get it. If you want a noodle bowl you can get it. If you want a omelette you can get it. So, you can pretty much go here and make the appropriate choice for whatever type of food you desire. This restaurant is located in a large shopping complex on Pacific Coast Highway. Due to this fact, there is tons and tons of parking, so you should never have any trouble finding a parking spot. In terms of the best time to go to this restaurant, generally, you can find a table at all hours. But, as with most restaurants, on the off-hours you'll find the greatest selection of tables to choose from. Aloha The Beach Hut! This cute little spot err hut ;) is a great place to go to enjoy some ono dishes. I stopped by recently and got to try The Grinder. The Grinder has chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, double rice, Hawaiian macaroni salad, wonton and Hawaiian sweet bread. It's a combo filled with a mix of Hawaiian favorites and it is tasty! Though I've never been to Hawaii, I liked that this plate gave me a little taste of everything. Both the teriyaki beef and chicken were excellent as well as their macaroni salad! Aside from the combo plate, I also got to try their pocho sausage. The pocho sausage was ok but it was quite spicy. It was a little salty too. Overall lunch here was so ono ;) read more

Been here several times because my son likes their corned beef hash. It never fails though, the lack of "aloha spirit" is def a turn off, you almost always expect it. Even when we pick up food, the body language & unfriendly vibe is always a letdown. The last time I ate lunch here with my son, it took them at least 20 mins to get our orders and mind you, there was only one other table occupied. The girl that took our orders didn't crack a smile, not even a forced one!! I have noticed in the past that they are friendlier to people they know though, maybe regulars? but they should be friendly to everyone, because we're also paying customers. Not bad at all! If I lived in the area, I would probably frequent this place from time to time. We stopped by to pick up some food for a quick picnic that we decided to do. Ordered the spicy pork burger and combo B which has beef, chicken, chow fun noodles, rice, wonton crisp and a side salad. Like all Hawaiian places tend to be, the serving sizes were generous and we all had little chance of finishing everything. The chow fun noodles were very different than what you normally would expect, but not bad. The beef was really delicious... next time I'm here, will order all beef and no chicken. Chicken was just OK. The spicy pork burger was really good...especially the way they had nice amounts of veggies to go along with the good sized patty. They have really nice outside patio seating, which would have been perfect for us if we weren't already planning to head for the park. The place also has a really nice family-owned vibe. In my ongoing quest to go to all of the Hawaiian restaurants in the South Bay, The Beach Hut came up in my Yelp Search as a place to try. I know this spot is probably better known for their breakfast plates but I'm not a fan of eggs so my friend and I decided to check this place out for lunch. The Beach Hut reminds me of those old school teriyaki joints you'd see all over Southern California. You can get teriyaki chicken, teriyaki chicken and steak, spam teriyaki beef patties, regular burgers, cheeseburgers, teriyaki burgers, teriyaki chicken and steak with a side of spam... you get the idea. The combinations even come down to the sides, which range from the typical rice and macaroni salad to chow fun noodles, fried wonton skin, and veggie egg rolls. I ordered The Grinder - a hefty plate of teriyaki chicken and steak, 2 scoops of rice, mac salad, fried wonton skin, and a side salad, plus a slice of hot buttered Hawaiian sweet bread. It cost $10.95 which is not a bad deal for all that food... but regardless what you pick, all of the lunch plate combinations basically range between $9 and $11. At the end of the day, all of the prices didn't matter. My friend ordered a teriyaki steak plate that came out with a small error, but to our surprise, instead of just re-making the dish they decided to cover our entire meal. Both his dish and mine, on the house! It's so rare for restaurants to go out of their way with service, so The Beach Hut really surprised us.
