The owners Shawn was so incredibly helpful & knowledgeable. He came to inspect our property the next day. We pulled our permits as "owner builder" which was a hard project, but got through it pretty well. However, I had trouble understanding what this report was all about. Shawn totally gave me the rundown on how it worked, sharing so much information with me so I was able to comprehend what was needed. We had a lil hiccup with our report, it required our plans to be modified, which he took the extra steps to help us overcome. After a long season of working with many tradesmen, handymen, other workers, inspectors, ect.... I'm grateful to have had Shawn see us over the finish line. He's great, and I recommend him to anyone who has a project requiring a HERS report. Thanks again Shawn!

So in the summer, instead of sucking in air from the inside of the house, it would be be sucking in 100F air from outside, making the AC inefficient. He took the time to drive to the store to get sealant to fix the leaks inside the intake box, and spent an hour applying the sealant himself. Did not ask for any extra money, did not complain, had a great attitude, and really wanted to make sure that he gave 150% effort to the customer. Then he re-tested the system and the system passed this time showing barely any leakage. Gave us the report and the paperwork needed for the building inspector. If you do your own HVAC upgrade without a city permit, you think you save money by not having to spend money on HERS testing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. When it comes to spending money, I'm cheap. I didn't realize that Jason's job is to make sure that the extra money you spend on upgrading your ducts/AC equipment to more efficient equipment is not in vain due to leaks in your ducts A+++ experience with using this company for HERS testing, and will recommend to others to use this company.

He came with the proper equipment to take accurate measurements, and generated a comprehensive report. He was very efficient. Furthermore, Jason had the HERS report sent to the City of Lake Forest electronically, so the city inspection went very smoothly. So naturally I was also having to source Title 24 myself as well, but I was honestly worried about it. The whole time I was doing my drawings, in the back of my mind was how would I get Title 24 done. All my worries were for noting. Alex has created a seamless way to do Title 24 remotely. You don't even need to be completely done with your plans. I belong to an ADU group and had been seeing a ton of support and reviews for Alex on it. So I gave him a call. Within 20 minutes, I had sent him my plans and we had come up with everything he needed to get me going. Within the hour he got back to me with good news. I had some steps I needed to do to accomplish a passing grade for the certificate. I also had a change/ revision that needed to be done, and guess who was right there when I called. He answered my call. We had to face time so he could see the scope of my project. Funny thing is that he answered with a party hat on. He was at a birthday party and still took my call. I recently had new a new air conditioner, furnace, and ducting installed (HVAC system). After the installation was completed, Aura Energy Compliance performed the HERS testing, which checks a lot of things (e.g. if an unacceptable amount of air is leaking from the ducts, if the air flow is adequate, if the cooling refrigerant is charged correctly, etc.). Having an independent, 3rd party company perform the HERS test was important to me, especially since the test results revealed installation problems that must be fixed. Had I relied only on the air conditioner installer / company, I would not know about the installation errors. As a result, the air conditioner installer is now coming back to my house to fix the problems identified by the HERS test. The team at Aura Energy Compliance was very professional, responsive, and punctual. I arranged the HERS testing with Tom (owner) and he was very pleasant and helpful. The HERS testing was conducted at my house by Jeremy and he was very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. Jeremy did a great job and I highly recommend him! I have already referred Aura Energy Compliance to several of my friends, since they never had the required HERS test performed after their recent air conditioning, furnace, and ducting installations, and they did not know that HERS testing is mandatory in California (their air conditioner installers never mentioned it). I had a bit of a touchy situation where a rodent got into my AC condenser outside and I had no clue how to manage it. I use Thumbtack to find a couple of contractors, and the first company came out and quoted me over $3K to clean my condenser and cleanup my air ducts, and tried to scare me into a $10K revamp of the entire system in my attic saying that the air quality was harmful to our health. I was a bit weary and decided to get a second opinion... Sydney contacted me from One Season, and assured me that they would be able to take a look and take care of the situation. She was extremely kind and understanding given my concerns. Aubrey was my technician and as I mentioned above, was just amazing. Helped me with disposal of the critter, cleaned out my entire AC condenser and told me he would include it with diagnostic fee, which technically he didn't have to do since the system was still working, so he applied that fee to the clean up. He still took everything apart and did an inspection and checked everything out for me to make sure it was running properly. Was very informative and educational and told me signs to watch out for as my system is approaching 20 years old. Did a full inspection of my attic system and did point out some things that I might want to take a look at in the future, but never once tried to push a sale, install, or upsell anything. As is normal with any maintenance company, he did introduce their maintenance plan to me which I welcomed since I know my system is aging. And upon signing up for the annual maintenance plan, he actually waived my diagnostic fee... so he didn't even charge me for my service call! I mean my mind was just BLOWN! Rodent gone... Check! AC condenser clean... Check! AC in good working order... Check! Things to watch for... Check! Peace of mind... CHECK!! I went from a $3000 scare tactic quote saying the air quality in my home being harmful to my family's health to an honest assessment of my home's system, and what I could expect in the next few years given the age of the system. I feel so much better now, and can also prepare myself! Thank you, Aubrey and One Season, so much for the amazing service and the integrity and honesty that you brought to this job. I am so very grateful to have found you. You've got a lifelong customer in me!! 100/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
