Having two bathrooms with a shower was so convenient, definitely a plus. Provided the perfect amount of towels, pillows & blankets. Housekeeping were very kind & serviced the room niecly. The landscaping of the property was so breathtaking With all the beautiful plants/ trees. Pool hours were reasonable 9am-9pm also provided plenty of towls at pool area. Breakfast definitely needs to improve. No hot foods other than the oatmeal you microwave. NO DECAF coffee, front desk informed me that they didn't have any that day but another worker said they don't serve it at all for breakfast, only regular. The decaf packets in the room wasn't any good. Definitely disappointed, thought it would be better due to how expensive the stay was.

She was bitten in multiple areas (back, arms, and body), and she physically collected and showed the ticks to the front desk. This was not a minor issue--this is a serious sanitation and health hazard. I had to remove and isolate all of my belongings, Leave the room immediately, and am now seeking medical attention due to potential exposure to tick-borne illness The hotel documented the incident themselves, acknowledging ticks were found in the room. Despite this, the response from management was completely unacceptable. I was given a $45 refund and repeatedly denied access to a manager to properly address what happened. They told me go shake my clothes off by the pool and basically get over it. Calls were not returned, and no meaningful effort was made to resolve the situation or take accountability. Ticks in a hotel bed are not a normal occurrence--this raises serious concerns about cleanliness, pest control, and overall safety of the property. I strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice. This was not just uncomfortable--it was unsafe. Used to be regular customer; however, never plan to return again.

So glad that we got the opportunity to spend the night here because we were just worn out after having to not being able to find a place to park and go to the beach while we were in Pismo Beach but we kind of expected that due to it being Memorial Day. After we pulled into the parking lot, you can just tell that there were some renovations that had happened here because the Pool was no longer a Pool, it was now turned into a Dog Park. We walked into the Office to check in and the guy who was at the Office was very friendly and helped us get checked in. We then got our information to get into our Room and as soon as we walked in, let me tell you the Room was very clean and you could smell the cleanliness. We put our stuff down and then got settled and when we sat down on the bed, it was very comfortable, and welcoming. It was just so soft that I knew that I wouldnt have any problems falling asleep. As a matter of fact, after we got back from eating Dinner, I almost was just by sitting on the bed for 5 minutes. We got into the Shower and it had alot of pressure, the toilet flushed great and every where I looked it just sparkled with cleanliness. The TV, the Fridge and even the Chairs & Table was clean. This being our first time here, we were so impressed that we are even more excited that we will have the opportunity to come back here and stay again. As we fell asleep you could hear just ultimate silence and you would have no problems with falling asleep here. After waking up in the morning we checked out and had no problems with checking out. So over all I wish I could give this place a 10 star because for something that was cheaply priced, the experience, the comfort and the cleanliness was well worth it. The owners and their family live on site, and the entire stay felt very uncomfortable and intrusive, especially because we were traveling with our dog. One evening when we returned from being out all day, we went back outside to grab a few things from our car and clean it out. Almost immediately, the owner's daughter came outside. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw her point her phone camera directly toward us as if she was recording us. When I looked directly at her, she stopped and just stared. As soon as we went back into our room, she went back inside the house. The timing was not a coincidence, and it made us feel like we were being watched the entire time we were there. What made the situation worse is we are fairly certain someone entered our room while we were gone. When we came back, the toilet seat was left up, which is something neither my partner nor I do. We are both very sure about that. Nothing was missing, but the feeling that someone had entered our room without permission was extremely unsettling and felt like a complete violation of privacy. We wanted to address it with the owners, but after reading multiple reviews saying the owner becomes aggressive when people request refunds, we honestly felt intimidated and did not feel comfortable confronting them directly. We ended up calling BringFido and decided to leave early because we no longer felt comfortable staying on the property. Aside from the uncomfortable situation with the owners, the property itself is not well maintained. The floors in the room were very dirty, the parking lot is extremely small and very difficult to maneuver, and the walls are paper thin. When we first checked in, I thought it was strange that there were ear plugs sitting on the sink counter, but after the first night I understood why. You can hear absolutely everything. We could barely sleep because of noise through the walls. On the second day, we tried to take a nap and couldn't get comfortable because we could hear constant vacuuming and furniture being moved around through the walls. This was supposed to be a relaxing trip to Monterey, and instead we felt uncomfortable, watched, and unable to sleep. We left early and are now hoping we can get a refund. Do not stay here!!!!! This did not feel like a hotel -- it felt like we were being monitored while staying in a dirty, noisy motel. Easily the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Staff - The gentleman who checked me in was very kind and even offered to open a bottle for me when I bought a Jarritos for my dinner and didn't realize it needed a bottle opener. Check out was smooth and they offered me a goodie bag to-go which included a yogurt, banana, clementine, granola bar, and pastry. It was very generous and considering the event I went to didn't offer breakfast or lunch, it came in handy! There's plenty of seating and a nice bar area where you can get drinks/snacks. We checked in early (before 3pm), and Hayley assisted us. She shared info about parking ($15 per night), breakfast (included with stay), and the pool/ hot tub and provided a sheet with details on amenities. There's a Costco adjacent to the hotel and within walking distance, and Cannery Row is less than a 15-minute drive if you want to dine in Monterey. While the hotel is nicely decorated and has a great ambiance, we did notice a few things during our brief stay. I will say the elevators are fairly slow, and you do need to scan your room key each time you get on. Some noise does carry, so you can hear people in the hallways. However, the room itself was spacious, clean, and had a small balcony facing the outdoor patio/pool. The fully equipped kitchenette had essentials for making meals and the bathroom was comfortable with good lighting. We were happy with the room, but there were a few different things that caught our attention, including how firm the bed was, it seemed less comfortable to sleep on and the AC is super loud. We set it to 68 and it was quite warm, but every time you turn it on, it was quite noisy. Breakfast was not bad, as they had options such as scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage along with oatmeal, fruit, cereal, and a waffle maker. The breakfast seating area is a bit cramped but you can sit outside or at other nearby tables. Overall, it was a mostly pleasant stay and we enjoyed our time at this Residence Inn.

The security team notified my boss of the oversite and Daniel and myself (US based) worked together to get him the supplies needed to ship the medication back in a refrigerated package. Daniel communicated what was going on every step of the way and we were able to salvage this valuable medication. Certainly I would say he went above and beyond in his duties to make this happen.
