Great location to the aquarium, downtown, historic street of Cannery Row. Easy check in. Comfortable rooms and private outdoor patio area. Nice ambiance with fresh orchids in the lobby and hotel rooms. Parking is flat rate whether it is valet or self park. Parking location is a couple blocks from the hotel so we elected for valet each time. They give you a card to request the car ahead of time. Good size gym, everything you would need to stay active during a short stay. Small pool for laps. Enjoyed the hot tub.

Amazing staff, great location for walking to shops along Canary Row and the Aquarium. The rooms are also a nice size, with comfortable beds and a view of the ocean. We loved having a small balcony to enjoy the fresh breeze in the evening. The rooms have both a tub and shower, this is a double bonus! Two thumbs up for the bathroom. We purchased some snacks before going to our room which of course were a bit overpriced like any hotel. Bonus we were upgraded during our stay since I was a Club member. This is an excellent, quiet and relaxing property. Kudos to the awesome team!

Our stay at the InterContinental The Clement Monterey was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, everything felt lavish, elegant, and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful and has such a relaxing coastal luxury vibe. Our room was amazing -- it had a cozy fireplace, a fully stocked refrigerator, a private patio deck, and a stunning ocean view. Waking up and hearing the ocean right outside was such a peaceful experience. The details in the room made it feel really upscale but still comfortable for a family. One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the indoor spa area, which felt like a little retreat inside the hotel. They also have a quiet reading room, which was such a nice touch if you just want to relax and unwind. The room service was excellent and everything about the service felt very high-end. The location is perfect. It's literally right next door to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which made it so easy for a family visit, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is right on the other side along Cannery Row. There are so many places to walk, eat, and explore nearby. Overall, it was just grand, beautiful, and the perfect place for a family vacation. If you want a place that feels special, relaxing, and right by the ocean, this hotel is absolutely worth it. We will definitely be coming back!

It's not cheap, but it's an exceptional experience! From the front desk team who took great care of us, to the superb dinner and drinks in the restaurant. It was safe to walk my dog at dark and the front desk gentleman made to sure to upgrade us to a room that had easy access to the walking path and garage.

Our stay here was good, it has a great bike path that takes you by the aquarium behind cannery row. It's right on the water so views are great. Our room had a patio since we travel with our pups. Valet was very helpful when recommending places only downfall, is there is not usb or micro usb charging ports in the room, only standard charging outlets. I definitely recommend staying here if you want to be in the middle of everything.

We had an amazing stay from check in to check out. The valet team was amazing. They had our car out promptly every time. Our room was amazing and the bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pits outside by the water. We also loved the Christmas tree and the seating around it and the cute tic tac toe games. This was such a wonderful experience.

This is the only place we stay in Monterey (if we aren't staying w family lol) - it's so close to everything. Valet the car and just walk all over. Staff is always really helpful and friendly. Rooms are well appointed and I use that fireplace non stop. The courtyard can get loud at night. Some nights they'd have groups down by the fire pit thing, partying it up lol. We come fr a big city and don't at all mind falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and people having a good time. The breeze fr the doors is the best, but we like to sleep cold lol. The fireplace keeps the room cozy and warm in the day. I like intercontinental hotels overall, but this location is my favorite. We stay about 2 weeks a year. The only things I think they could improve on is the gym. It's not the best lol. Also, we've gone w friends who got rooms across the street in that other building. I personally only stay and recommend the main building on the water. Also, the pools not really a pool lol and that's totally fine bc it's never warm enough in Monterey for my kids to swim anyway. One trip, we booked the full oceanfront room and we didn't care for it as much as the courtyard view, bc at night it's just all blackness lol. The courtyards got more lights and action lol and you can still smell and hear the ocean at night.

We arrived on Monday, March 30th and checked in about 4pm. This is usually our favorite hotel, but after what happened, we will never stay here again. My husband and I left our room to go eat at the C-bar which is in this hotel. My husband said he thought it was closed because no one was there. So, I went to the front desk to check. I approached a young man by the name of Matt if the restaurant was open and he stated it was, but that I needed to go back outside because of the fire alarm. The way he spoke to me was like I was 5 years old. I explained to him that I never heard a fire alarm and that I was never outside but in my room. At that same time, everyone was coming back in and I just left. My husband asked what happened and I told him what Matt said to me. My husband became very upset that he went to the front desk and spoke to the assistant manager Phil. My husband explained what happened, but he was very condescending. I'm not sure if Matt and him are buddies because he seemed like he didn't want to deal with us so we left. We were ready to put everything behind us and go get something to eat. As we walked outside, we ran right into Matt from valet. My husband said are you Matt? He said yes. My husband said to him its not right how you talked to my wife. Matt acted like he didn't do anything and I just pulled husband to just go and eat. A few minutes after leaving, we see a black truck pass us and stops at a stop sign in front of us. A car on the other side of street flashes his lights to go, but he doesn't go. He waits until we reach the stop sign and rolls down his windows and begins yelling at us and then speeds off. I did take a picture of the truck. He let us know he was from valet and I assume he was Matt's friend coming to intimidate us. We immediately went back to the hotel to speak to Phil who is still talking down to us and acts like he didn't care. My husband told him he just wants to go home and if he can just refund the room. At first he was acting like he wasn't going to do it, but then my husband asked again and Phil reluctantly said he would. During the whole time he never apologized to us for what happened until the very end when we were waiting for our car. In all my times of staying at any hotel, I have never been treated so badly. This was our last time. Next time we can come to Monterey we will be staying at Monterey Plaza Hotel!

I have always loved the location of this hotel and we have stayed here many times being IHG reward members however we will likely be staying somewhere else moving forward. Our last stay here we noticed several items missing from the mini bar as soon as we checked into the room. I immediately called front desk, they sent someone out to confirm, and they said it was noted on our account. I even took a photo because I had a feeling it would be an issue. Upon checkout I again reminded them of the mini bar issue and confirmed we did not use any of the mini bar items. Low and behold when I checked my credit card charges a couple days later I saw a charge for $70. Called the hotel to inquire and they stated it was mini bar items and nothing had been noted on my account. I had to call the hotel and explain this again but the charges were eventually refunded. Also the king size mattress was horribly uncomfortable with a large hump in the middle. The stand up shower is very small and water pressure is inconsistent. I do love the ocean views and the location but will be looking for another hotel in the future. If you stay here, make sure to check your mini bar upon arrival and ask them to refill any missing items immediately.

We enjoyed their rooftop spa overlooking the bay- next level. The entrance to the hotel opens up to a beautiful first floor with ocean view, large fireplace, sofas and seating areas, and a small bar. The hotel offers a nightly happy hour and musical performances. During our visit we had the pleasure to discover a highly talented artist by the name of Adrea, who has the most incredible voice and presence. We were so impressed by her and were very fortunate that she performed both nights of our visit. It was a performance we would have gladly paid to see, she is a rising talent for sure. I can't state how exceptional our experience was to enjoy the music in such an elevated atmosphere, relaxing by the fire, enjoying the outstanding craft cocktails by their highly talented mixologist. The lobby has an older, vintage feel to it, which gave it some charm. Unfortunately, the check in experience wasn't the best. The front desk receptionist wasn't very friendly or welcoming, so it didn't exactly start our trip on a positive note. Our room with two queen beds was pretty standard, but it was clean and had a beautiful view overlooking the water, which was definitely the highlight. The service throughout our stay was pretty disappointing. I called the front desk to ask for extra bath towels, and after waiting 30 minutes with nothing delivered, I had to call again. They finally arrived another 20 minutes later, which seemed way too long for such a simple request. The shower was also confusing because the hot and cold labels were reversed, and the water pressure was extremely weak. Neither of those things ruined the trip, but they definitely made the stay less enjoyable. We also ordered room service around 7:30pm. Jerry, who took our order, was very friendly and told us it would take about 45 minutes. An hour later there was still no food, so I called back around 8:45. Jerry apologized, checked on the order, and said it would be another 10 minutes before offering to personally bring it up. I appreciated his effort, but waiting well over an hour for room service was frustrating. To make matters worse, they already charge a service fee and then tack on an additional 20% service charge. The food wasn't worth the wait either. The ceviche lacked flavor and the portion was tiny, the ahi tuna wraps were just okay and didn't taste very fresh, and the Wagyu burger was dry and underwhelming. The fries were probably the best thing we ordered. Overall, I don't see myself staying here again, and next time I'd rather book the InterContinental instead.

When we decided to extend our stay by an extra night, our harbor-view room wasn't available for the additional night, but they went out of their way to make it work so we didn't have to switch rooms. We really appreciated that! Parking was also very reasonably priced at $25, especially compared to other hotels in the area. The room itself was spacious, the bed was very comfortable (firm, just how we like it), and the harbor view was absolutely perfect. We were a little concerned after reading reviews about the sea lions being noisy, but we actually loved hearing them from the balcony! Once the balcony door was closed, we couldn't hear them at all, and they never disturbed our sleep. One of our favorite perks was the complimentary binoculars available to guests--they were a fun touch for watching the harbor. And don't miss the sunrise from the fourth-floor rooftop terrace--it's absolutely beautiful! There were just a few minor things that could be improved. The hotel only has one elevator, and it can be quite slow during busy times. We also wish the freshly baked cookies were available throughout the day. They were put out around 3:00 p.m., but they disappeared almost immediately because they were so popular. When we arrived, our room temperature was around 78°F. We called the front desk to ask about the A/C and were told someone would come up. Security arrived and explained that the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, so the options are to use the fan or open the balcony door. It would have been helpful if the front desk had shared that information when we called. We left the screened balcony door open while we were out the next day, and the room cooled down nicely. The only other thing we wished the room had was a microwave. Overall, these were very minor issues compared to everything we loved about our stay. The location, views, comfortable rooms, and outstanding customer service made for a wonderful experience.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a warm charm that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of our stay was how the hotel carried such a unique atmosphere and history. It wasn't just a place to sleep--it felt like part of the adventure. Between the ocean views, cozy spaces, and local touches, it really captured the spirit of Monterrey. And then there were the ghost stories. Whether you're a believer or just love a good tale, they add an extra layer of fun and mystery to the stay. If you're someone that believes (or not), go to the front desk and ask for the "book". It had 78 pages of first hand accounts of unexplained happenings from guests. We had a very small moment ourselves, while I was sharing what I uncovered about the ghosts with my significant other in the morning, suddenly the bathroom light just turned on. Nobody was around and they do run on sensors. Not a significant event but certainly was well timed. Overall, Hotel Del Monte struck the perfect balance between comfort, history, and a touch of playful spookiness. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Monterrey that has access to a military installation--especially if you're looking for more than just a hotel, but a memorable experience.

Our only negative was that we were given the first room next to the entrance and stairwell, which was not fun to hear folks stomping up and down the stairs and slamming the doors. On Friday morning, several people we knew were awoken by the "active shooter drill" announcement at 8:00am.
