We decided to stay and eat, on property, the night before a long fishing day. This is located right in the lobby and was dead at 7:30 pm on a Friday night. We were 1 of 4 tables. The server, Isabella, was very friendly and attentive. We started with the calamari. It was delicious and the oil used was clean. My son devoured most of it, but I was able to confirm it was great before it was all gone. We also had the burrata and watermelon salad. This could have been a meal. It was huge and fresh. We all liked this. For dinner we got the tuna tartare stack. It was almost very good but was very avocado heavy. I wish it had more tuna to avocado ratio. Again, a great portion. The less impressive part was the grouper. It was very overcooked. The flavors of the dish were all there but the portion and overall presentation of the dish didn't align with the price tag- by any stretch. I would have preferred a separate space to dine, with the lobby more secluded where the ambiance could be more unique from the rest of the hotel. We just wanted a couple appetizers and drinks and everything was wonderful! The service was great and our servers were very attentive. It was clean and pleasant. We did not check the reviews before we dined there and I was shocked to see how low this restaurant was rated. Based on how old some of these reviews are, I think the restaurant underwent a revamp because the food was very good. The calamari and the lemon aioli and pesto(?) it was served with were delicious. The watermelon burrata salad was great as well, it was served with pistachios and balsamic pearls. The cocktails were pretty tasty as well. I say give it a chance, it seems like they're really trying to make this place nice and we enjoyed our experience. read more

This review is for the brunch buffet only. Wow! At $27.50 for adults and $13.75 for kids , I was expecting so much more! Yes, I know this is the "Waldorf Astoria" and that is partly what what you ate paying for but doesn't brunch usually consist of breakfast and lunch foods? This buffet had the standard made to order omelets. They had one omelet maker, and the line took about 20 minutes. Besides the regular breakfast foods like bacon, sausage, French toast, muffins, the only food items even slightly off the beaten path were smoked salmon and individual bread puddings. Also a reason for the middle of the road rating? By 11:30am several food items were gone. You can order a la carte items which are in the $15-$18 range. If I stayed here again I would do my best to eat breakfast off the premises. There are a couple of cute, reasonable breakfast places nearby. I had no choice this morning as my husband & 10 year old took the car to go fishing. I guess there are worse things than being stranded at the Waldorf! read more

Do not eat here. My wife was served under cooked pancakes and dry as a bone bacon. The bacon is sitting in the back waiting to be placed in the buffet tray. We both got the same thing, Blueberry Pancakes... the server brought one cup of maple syrup. The pancakes are very thick and taste like doughnuts. 1 syrup for 6 pancakes, we waited to see if he would bring an additional cup, but never did. The cherry on top of this was the fly that kept buzzing around us and landing on our arms and food. I wanted to vomit and get the hell out of there. I can endure a lot of things, but having this fly land on me then my food while I am swatting at it is incredibly DISGUSTING. I will never be back to this place or this Hotel. Amy my server was delightful. Friendly, polite, attentive, and efficient. She deserves a 5 star rating. The fresh squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice was refreshing and chilled. I choose the rise and shine burger with fresh fruit in lieu of potatoes. It came with a small salad that was dressed lightly in a citrus dressing. The fruit was a healthy portion with a mix of raspberries, grapes, melon, pineapple and blackberries. The burger was okay. The bread wasn't toasted so it seemed almost soggy. The burger itself was mediocre and the egg on the burger was over cooked. With a price tag of 18 dollars, I'd hoped for a better quality burger. We visited this restaurant and bar everyday of our stay in Naples. The breakfast buffet is fresh and delicious with wonderful bread and pastries. The eggs are cooked to perfection, not your typical runny buffet eggs. The fruit is so sweet it is like eating candy. Our servers were terrific. The bar portion is a lively location for a casual drink or bite. You can sit at the bar, at a table or in the relaxing lounge area with little seating areas. Service is good not pushy. Not sure why the prior reviews are so poor but most are pretty dated. read more

I visited during happy hour and the bar was riddled with children. Who brings their child to sit at a bar top when tables are available? Apparently the patrons of the Waldorf Astoria. I ordered my drink and couldn't find a bar seat so I had to sit at one of the many open tables, alone, because parents didn't have the sense to do so themselves. I tried to watch the evening news while having a drink before heading back up to my room. nope couldn't do that because wet kid's, I'm talking 10 and under, we're sitting at the bar in their wet bathing suits with wetter towels draped on the seats surrounding them. I understand that you want to cater to your customers but a bar is a bar for a reason. It should be a NO KID ZONE. If I wanted to deal with children I would have went to the pool bar.Did I mention the crying infant and the parents that continued to drink through it's howling? !?!? read more

What a nightmare. Can you rate it ZERO stars? We decided we wanted to try Aura as a nice quiet dinner place, boy were we wrong! Our first clue should have been the mexican buffet...seriously, a buffet. And then the screaming children. Every table had some screaming kid. Then, the waiter approached the table, but he arrived several seconds AFTER his horrible B.O. Was really pleasant when he reached over us to pour a taste of the wine, but all I could smell and taste was his B.O. We realized we needed to flee and alerted staff that we wanted to go, but the chef and other staff said we could move out to the quieter bar area. We thought to do that. Minutes later, the children followed and were just as loud and obnoxious running around the bar area (why were they allowed in the bar area??). The hotel management did NOTHING to tell the parents to quiet their kids. There should be a certain time of night that children are discouraged from ruining other guests visits. One in our party is a Diamond point member and was horrified at the scene and the lack of control by hotel management. Most of the food was good, but I ordered my steak medium rare and it (along with the three others at the table) were well done. I didn't want to send it back because it would prolong my stay in this torture palace. We wanted to eat and get the heck out as soon as possible. The only shining point of the evening was the bartendress who was fantastic and had been putting up with the screaming children for a lot longer than we did. She did comp us a glass of wine, and the chef sent out some tacos as an apology...the whole meal should have been comped. I would steer clear of this place or when making reservations ask if they are going to have a buffet (gross) or if there are a million children running around. We are in the area for the whole summer and would have considered going back to Aura (the building itself is amazing) but now we will not step foot inside the building unless personally invited back by the chef or general manager in order to atone for the horrible experience and to give us another chance to like this restaurant that sadly was more like a Chuck E. I travel a lot for work and this means that I stay at way too many hotels and eat at more hotel restaurants and bars than I care to recall. I am often disappointed by the hotel restaurants because the meetings I travel with are very large and I never feel like the hotel restaurants prepare to have such a large number of guest. Well Aura was no different. A meeting of at least 100-200 people, if not more and the restaurant did not have the staff to handle the lunch crowd. Is their no communication between the hotel and the restaurant when large meetings come to town...Why they would have two people working a lunch crowd of let's say 60 people...it was a nightmare. And then the restaurant ran out of many items on the menu...food took forever and was incorrect. I could see this being a better experience without the crowds, however, I would only stay here if I was attending a meeting so there will always be crowds...disappointed! read more

Came here for the breakfast buffet , they had a variety of options and an omelet station, the food was good but not great. The bacon was exceptional! Staff was courteous and kind. The buffet cost was $25 and they also have a Bloody Mary buffet for around $27/$28. Probably one of the better places to have breakfast if your staying at the Grande Naples and don't want to leave the resort. read more

They charge food to your room without asking your room number after you tell them by credit card. Got double charged. Complained with hotel, no refund. Made a chargeback. Buyer beware. When we stayed at the Naples Grande, this was the only option for breakfast, within the hotel. The service was great - waters were filled, coffee was a plenty, our server was friendly and kept checking if we needed anything. The food and the pricing, however, was not worth it. The breakfast buffet was over $25/pp for the adults and I think about $14 for the kids. Bagels were grocery store quality, 3-4 pastries (croissants, muffins, scones) and the only "hot" bread item were waffles. We were told about the waffles "go ahead and put them through the toaster a few times because of the way they're in the chafing dish, they're not very crispy" well they also weren't very warm either. They had NO flavor. Bacon was fatty and soggy. The eggs were dry and flavorless, too. Small fruit cups were nice (pineapple with blueberries) but no other fresh fruit available. The toppings for the oatmeal were nice such as brown sugar, almonds, blueberries, raisins, dried apricots, but the oatmeal was awful. It had a film over the top of it that was thick and clumpy, and the oatmeal itself was watery and bland. Our children usually love all you can eat buffets, but requested we go elsewhere for breakfast and I don't blame them! I would only eat here if you're not willing to leave the hotel for breakfast. read more

Drink order was wrong and we had to ask for different napkins as ours had food stains on them. Flat bread tasted like it was made from a frozen pizza.
