Now I mist confess this was my first spa experience and I don't have a reference point to compare. But based on what my whole body feels I'm sure I'm going to try it again and frequently! I have been to many spas in my lifetime and I must say, Aura Spa is at the top of my favorites list! My body was in desperate need of some TLC and Kim at Aura Spa was my saving grace! I had a Micro Algae w/Ginger and Lavender Wrap and reflexology on my feet. The best part is that unlike other wraps that you may get at a spa, the application process of the ingredients is massaged and kneaded into your skin! It is like a massage and wrap all in one! Then, while I was wrapped up soaking in the glory, I was given my reflexology treatment. I actually fell asleep twice because it was such a calming and relaxing experience. Amazing gem nestled in Main Street. This is my first time in park city and I've had a grand ol time exploring Main Street and everything it has to offer. I stumbled upon Aura Spa and had some free time so thought I could try to get a same day appointment. Luckily, I was able to book a facial with Brooke. Walking in it's def a zen + holistic vibe and your greeted by a nice front desk. They have you check in, fill out general questionnaire before facials, and then you're on your way. I opted for a facial with enzyme treatment and it was fabulous! I've done tons of facials all over the US from high end spas, to holistic, Asian treatments, etc and this was one of the best facials I've had. I asked for extractions and boy did I get them. Obviously, extractions are always painful, but it's the end result you're after. My face was left so smooth, it's incredible. During the massage you get s shoulder, facial and warm foot massage. Totally amazing. Brooke really was a professional and made sure all of the elements of the room to temperature, steam, extractions etc were comfortable for me. I was recently here with a group of girlfriends for a spa day and did the Ultimate Hand Experience. Overall the manicure was lovely, and the spa, while small, was very cute and the ladies working here were all so sweet. My only real complaint is the quality. My manicure did feel a little rushed, and I was disappointed that they don't have shellac or gel polish as an option, especially for the price. I would definitely come back though. This spa is a cute little thing right off Main Street in Park City. My girlfriends and I planned a bachelorette party there over the weekend. While planning the party, they were super helpful and bent over backwards to help us fit in all of the services we wanted. However, I wish they had told us that they didn't have much of a waiting area. While there, we felt like we kind of overwhelmed the place. Other spas I have been to with groups had more of a private area to relax and hangout in between services. Not here. All of us got pedicures and a few of us got massages. Only great reviews for all massages! None of us wanted them to end. The pedicures left a little bit to be desired. The staff doing them wasn't super friendly and the massage was lacking pressure. Being a massage therapist myself, I am aware of what goes on in a session and yes....very picky. I have had many sessions over the years and I am proud to say that my 90 minute with Kim was by far one of THE BEST massages I have ever had. After discovering Aura through Google and then reading the reviews on Yelp I was confident to give it a try. I was finishing up my week long stay in Park City over New Years and I NEEDED A SESSION BADLY! Kim was my therapist and she worked me OOOUUUTTT! All throughout my 90 minutes I felt as if I was being stretched and elongated while Kim worked out some heavy duty knots I built up through my own practice. She has a very firm yet gentle touch making the deep tissue massage extremely relaxing. The table was very comfortable and cozy, the room clean and chill. Making the whole massage absolutely wonderful! There is nothing worse than being on an uncomfortable table. If you are in Park City and you are looking for a wonderful massage......I highly recommend Aura. Ask for Kim....but I am sure all the therapists are wonderful. Aura really doesn't need another 5-star review from me. I've written a well-deserved three, chronicling unrivaled experiences of customer service (Camie), waxing and facials (Michelle), and man treatment (Brandi). Heck, if their countless five star reviews were merit badges, Aura would be an Ambassador (or an Eagle Scout) by now. There is nowhere else in Park City that I recommend more highly. But, suffering from an illness that has made me shy to spa (albeit still witty, stunning, and modest), I stopped going there for my lady pampering time over the past few months. The place and its wonderful staff stayed on my mind - like a recent ex- or the skinny pair of jeans haunting me in my closet. I couldn't bring myself to lace up my boots and pop on by. Not until I wanted to purchase the gift of relaxation time for a co-worker. Aura was then unavoidable. Well, when I walked in to scoop us the gift certificate and shirk away (avoiding the embarassment of regular's abandonment), I was instantly greeted by that air of welcoming, tranquility, and familiarity which graces Aura. If you've ever been there, you know the vibe. Rather than feel shame for my changing body, I was convinced to do something beneficial for myself - enter that fourth chapter and get a massage with Toby. Well, let me tell you, Toby is the Anne Sullivan of massages - teaching those that are blind and deaf to the specifics of their pain and stress how to speak. Assuming I'm a Helen Keller in this metaphor, her massage has allowed me to once again live like a d-o-l-l and love with grace. Yes, it was a transcendent experience. Though she tells her clients that they each know their own bodies better than she could, I doubt it. She could communicate with my aches and pains better than I. Beyond being a practicing massage therapist, Toby is also a nurse, and you can sense that in the special and personalized care she exercises with her clients. She will use the pressure you are comfortable with. She will remain communicative without interrupting. Now, on a personal note, if anyone else is suffering from an illness that causes pain, I truly believe visiting Aura and Toby is worth any drive. Wow! I am still glowing from this place I'm pretty sure. Boo was hitting the slopes on the board so that left me some time to explore the ever charming Park City on my own. Due to the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and here (and it's location on Main St), I decided to make a 90 minute deep tissue appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted with a calming and quiet lobby area where I was greeted by a receptionist and another employee. I was offered a drink then asked to fill out a questionnaire. We've all filled out a million similar questionnaires and although I was honest, I wasn't entirely certain my therapist would actually read it. My therapist ended up being Caroline (I hope I am spelling her name correctly!) and she did indeed read my info as she instantly asked me what was going on with my neck/shoulders. I explained that I carry a lot of my tension up there and could use some major work on it. She offered to spend the entire 90 minutes on the area and skip the full body. When I briefly hesitated, she was able to quickly read me and instead suggested spending most her time on the neck/shoulders and doing some quick work on leg and arms. Sold! And can I tell you? She was an AMAZING bodywork specialist. I did not just feel like I was relaxing, I felt like she was actually healing my body. Caroline seemed to really understand where my kinks/knots were and did a solid, thorough job of working through them. I really appreciated when she would briefly tell me what she was doing or make a comment about what she was "hearing" or understanding from my body. She wasn't afraid to give me an actual deep tissue and would check in with me throughout. If I actually lived in Park City, I would definitely become a regular! On the way out she was so sweet and just a caring & nurturing person, I greatly appreciated it. The overall atmosphere completely reminded me of living in Santa Cruz... very holistic, natural, and non-judgemental; you truly felt like people cared about you and your experience. Wonderful!!! I usually am somewhat of a Yelp freeloader -- I come here for the reviews, take what I can and leave nothing in return. However, I had to come on to write my first review for Aura Spa. I was on a snowboarding trip with my boyfriend and his 5 friends a few weeks ago in Park City. Seeing as how I'm far from capable in any kind of sport, I let them go ahead without me one of the days. My sweet boyfriend treated me to a spa day so I could enjoy a girl day alone. I ordered the "Throat" chakra package: Sea Salt Glo scrub and 90 min massage. Coming in with sore muscles from snowboarding and dry skin from cold mountain air, this was the perfect remedy. Highly recommend this package! The scrub was soothing and moisturizing and left my skin so silky. The customer service was amazing from the time someone answered the phone to the moment I left the spa. Easy to make an appointment, approachable, sweet people. Facilities were clean and well-kept. Kim gave me the scrub and massage, and she was so friendly, calming and nice. She did a phenomenal job, especially with the massage (I had tons of knots in my neck and shoulders... all gone now), and made me feel super comfortable despite being relatively new to the spa experience (read: being naked in front of strangers). She gave me a lot of privacy. I can't wait to come back to Utah just so I can come back to Aura Spa (and see Kim)! read more

If you are looking for a mani/pedi in Park City, I would NOT recommend this spa. The reviews seem to be better for massages, but I had the most disappointing mani/pedi I have ever had. The technician clearly wasn't trained (and basically admitted as much) as the cuticles were barely touched, nail polish bubbled immediately and no attention was given to the dry areas on my feet. I had my service midday and by dinner time, 3 nails were already chipped. This was not at all worth the $85 I spent and hour I wasted. The only saving grace was that the two employees were very friendly. I just wish the actual service justified the cost. read more

My girlfriend and I were recently vacationing in Deer Valley and were eager to get deep tissue massages. We've experienced a rash of mediocre (and over-priced) deep tissue massages at "resort spas" through the years and wanted to find a spa not directly affiliated with a resort -- one the locals would use. Thanks to our fellow Yelpers, we found Aura. Located conveniently on Main St in Park City, this spa may not have all the glitz and glamour of the high-priced resort spas. But what they lack in "frills," they more than make up for with high customer service, personalization to your needs and quality of the massages. They do offer drinks while you wait and carry an assortment of goods for you to peruse while waiting or after your service. I came to the spa suffering from what I felt was significant shoulder pain and had self-diagnosed it as such (likely a rotator cuff issue). My therapist, Toby, took the time to ask incredibly insightful questions to diagnose that my pain was actually being driven by deltoid issues and treated it (massaged out the knots) in that manner. Since I also had additional pain throughout my mid-back and neck, Toby spent nearly 40 minutes of my 60 minute massage on that area. Most therapists I've gone to tend to be more focused on gettting through the entire body and not on the areas that the patient is seeking pain relief. She also made sure she met my request of a "deep tissue" massage, to which I am definitely thankful. I left the massage feeling significant relief and knew that it would only get better throughout the day. Thank you !!! My understanding is that my girlfriend's therapist provided her the exact same experience. As an added bonus, Toby was kind enough to give us 3-4 ideas of things to do while visiting UT that the average tourist wouldn't know about. We followed her suggestions and blew away our travelmates with unique experiences that we'll remember for a long time. I highly recommend Aura and would go back in a heartbeat on my next visit to the SLC area. read more

I was quoted $60 for a Brazilian and was charged $75 on arrival. I barely have hair as I get waxed regularly and have had laser hair removal in the past in the same area.. which my esthetician even remarked on. I was shocked by the extra charge and was just told that they can adjust the price if necessary based on hair quantity and length... I just didn't realize I'd be paying premium prices to provide less work! I can't help but feel ripped off as this is more money than I pay in San Francisco for the same service! read more

Not a fancy spa like place with steam/sauna or the whole 9 yards but who cares.... at the end of the day what a gal really wants is a feel-good massage. I had a little scheduling hiccup with my facial (they had accidentally cancelled my appointment!), but they did some shuffling and I ended up getting a "mini" facial close to my original time--that is the only reason for taking off a star! It being a girly weekend away we had to hit a spa at some point during the weekend! We got into town mid-morning on a Saturday and got same day appointments for us both (a mini facial and a mini massage respectively). We had time to check in at our hotel then walk along the old rail trail to get back onto Main Street (brilliant trail by the way...). The spa is upstairs in one of the old (could be one of the original) Main Street buildings. It has character. The old walls are bare and it's not at all clinical which some spas can be. My beauty therapist was lovely and I had a great facial. My face was so smooth and looked super once it had settled down after the exfoliation. I appreciate the non-toxic products - when you walk in the air is nice instead of the normal toxic smell of traditional nail salons. It's a small cozy spot! Caroline provided a much needed sports massage after too many flights, long runs and a day of Spring skiing in heavy wet snow. Suffice it to say, I had issues. I've had many massages that fall short of relieving overly tight muscles. I was super happy to find that Caroline was skilled and professional. She worked through the piriformis issues without causing pain and left me feeling relaxed and relieved. I also started my treatment with a sugar scrub. Short review followed by longer review: This spa is definitely a boutique and quaint. The staff is generally nice and inviting but there is nothing special about this spa. I have utilized wellness practitioners regularly, including massage monthly, for years. I recently relocated to Utah but newly to the Park City area. My husband bought me a gift certificate to Aura Spa for Christmas because it seemed in alignment with my spiritual practice and he knows I am looking for new practitioners in the area. I had a very poor experience with the spa on our first interaction and then a mediocre one for a spa service, followed by a bad experience again. When I came in to the spa, the massage therapist was very nice but chatted throughout the massage. I hate to even say anything because I felt connected to my purpose in offering a listening ear and connection but had planned to come to the spa to make time for "me", not the therapist I was paying. The decor and set up at the spa is clean and nice but it is a boutique with spa type services, it didn't feel zen but more like a store and salon. It was also chilly when I walked in at 9 am and imagine that was because it takes a while to heat the location first thing in the morning during the winter. My preference is a very warm room for a massage and this is why it is on the con list for me here. I frequented thai massage spas in Los Angeles with a similar vibe but they were half the price, skilled and professional. This place has many average components but lacks cohesiveness. DO NOT purchase an electronic gift card here. They hold your money hostage. If you want to give this as a gift, purchase money on a card or give a visa gift card. Do not give these people your money until services are rendered. Now here is where I am going to tell you more about my experience but keep in mind this is only one side of the story. When I first called to make my appointment, the woman who I spoke with told me that I had to call back with a credit card to confirm my appointment. I had a major physical event that night combined with another heavy personal experience the next day and decided the timing wasn't right and I would call them back with the credit card information when timing was better. My understanding from the call was that my appointment would not be scheduled without my credit card information. The following Monday the spa called me to tell me I missed my appointment and they charged the full price to my electronic gift card because of their 24 hour cancellation policy, which was not communicated to me. We went back and forth and the spa realized that the accountability was on them so they refunded me my money. When I called to make my appointment again, I had my credit card ready to follow their guidelines and then was told the cancellation policy for the first time. My spa service was meh. They promptly called me after my service to remind me I had an additional massage worth of gift card and I said I would call them back. After not fully connecting with the therapist, i decided to try a male therapist and called to ask for a male. The woman at the desk said that males did not work on the day and times I was available and she would call to see if she could get one for those times. I missed their call and the voicemails in my phone were pilling up and once again, I was flaky and did not call the spa back. My life has been on turbo mode. This has made me less considerate as a customer and I do admit this. However, I got a call today telling me that I missed my appointment. An appointment I never scheduled. When I called to let them know that I never made an appointment, I was told the owner would call me. When the owner called me, she was very kind but told me that the person who made my appointment had spoken with me and told me the cancellation policy and confirmed that I would be there on Tuesday. I admitted that could have happened when I had a few drinks on Friday but that I had no calls in my phone during this time from the spa. It was not true that I spoke with this person and I was shocked that they were lying. I then looked through my voicemails and read the transcripts of the voicemail left for me. I was then told that I should have called them back because they go above and beyond for their clients. I told Kamie that I didn't want to bother any more and to have a nice day. They took the remaining amount of my gift card to pay the therapist for an appointment they scheduled for me and left on my voicemail. They told me this is the one and only time this has happened but it is very unprofessional and something I have never run in to in my life. I have never had so much stress and energy drained by someone I thought I was going to pay for services to destress. This is the long winded reason why I do not believe I would find true healing and connection with this spa and would not recommend their services to anyone else. read more
