I just had to stop and get my Aurelio's pizza fix on my way out of Chicago. Landed at Midway and we're headed to Michigan so stopped at the Hammond location. It was right off the skyway so that was convenient but didn't care for the area much. Got the pizza and got out of there. Love this pizza, definitely the standard that I judge all pizza by and none come close to Aurelio's. Had a medium super six and we were very satisfied. read more

Horrible stuffed pizza, absolutely unrecognizable in taste compared to their thin crust pizza. The sauce is different and they put almost ZERO toppings inside. I felt took and cheated. Their antipasto salad is OUTSTANDING and their Budweiser is cold and fresh. The little blondish waitress has come a long way from before, she is smiling, attentive and on the ball. HAMMOND LOCATION The waitress only took our order after 5 mins., waited for our drinks. My one and only cup of coffee tasted weird as did my husband's cola (we didn't finish them). I had a chicken sandwich with l/t and mayo, it had wilted scraps of lettuce, a very thinly sliced tomato w/toasted less than room temp bun with no mayo even though it's supposed to come with it. The chicken was barely warmer than room temp. I was surprised it was not screaming hot since it was more than a half hour wait. My husband's It. beef/sausage combo was ''the worst he has ever had.'' The waitress only came once. This is absolutely the last time we are going. Yes, we should have left but we have been up since 3am and he worked until 4pm and was hungry. This is a pretty popular lunch buffet in Hammond. They have a lot more than just salad, pizza and pasta. There are several hot entrees, wings, chili, sausage and peppers, etc. The price is more than reasonable (less than $10) for what you get. read more

Terribly condimented pizza. Waitress bad mouthed the stuffed pizza. The "new sausage pepper" side dish pught to be removed from the table advertisement because they were horrible. Ordered a pizza, just like the table next to ours. Our was overly condimented and literally had barely a film of cheese on it. Our neighbors pizza had an inch of cheese on their pizza, and the waitress flat out stated their was no difference. I will Not go back and will not recommend AURELIOS to ANYONE. We came for my nieces birthday. We ordered 2 appetizer platters, 3 orders of fries, a stuffed cheese pizza, sausage mushroom thin crust and pepperoni thin crust pizzas. Appetizers were okay, nothing special. A few us felt the pizza was greasy and undercooked. This is how I like my thin crust pizza, but the crust was so soggy and mushy. We have been ordering pizza from the Hammond Aurelio's for over 30 years. I love their thin crust, while my husband prefers the deep dish. I even enjoy their sausage calabrese, but you need to share that with someone as they're huge. My husband and son love the Italian Beef sandwiches. I highly recommend their buffet - Monday thru Friday from 11 to 2. Besides pizza, they also have other items - chicken wings, roast beef sandwiches, soups, etc. and a salad bar. It's not super huge, but they have all the main toppings you'd want. This is definitely one of our favorite places! read more

Had a large group in the back room and the waitress was rude and yelled at us. The woman at cash register kept rolling her eyes at us. They blame the general manager that she was watching us on her camera and kicked us out because my 65 year old mom had brought in some fudge! They kicked us out because of the fudge! The pizza is awesome, but you can get that from any Aurelio's - the buffet is what really makes this location stand out. The only reason it's not 5-star is that some items can take a while to get re-filled, and the salad bar could use a few more options. Quality is always great though, and the buffet items change depending on what day of the week it is. The best part is the service, hands down - Deb is probably the sweetest waitress on the planet! She will remember your name and drink order even if you have only been in a few times and haven't been in for months. read more

I suggest ordering a Dominos pizza before an Aurelio's pizza from the Hammond location. You'll pay 1/3rd of the price and get a better tasting pizza. The hammond location needs to take notes from other Aurelio's location. How could the same family owned restaurant get completely different results on a pizza recipe. Aurilios is my go-to for a great tasting expensive pizza. However, last visit was very poor. for a 36 dollar fiesta pizza with 4 toppings, it was a rip-off. as I value consistency, the pie was just riddled with so much garlic it was disgusting. when I called to notify a manager, they offered me 5 dollars off next purchase. in my life, I've spent probably over 1000 dollars at this location. i am throwing in the towel over here. go to ridge road. management sucks. and I can no longer say you get consistent quality read more

I love pizza and Aurelio's is my favorite. Recommend you get extra sauce on your pie. The sauce is soooo good. But everything about this pizza is good. The breadcrumbs on the bottom of the pie to the cheesy gooey goodness on top, and did I mention the sauce is so tasty. It is kind of sweet. The ambience at this Aurelio's isn't the best - but it is still an Aurelios. The pizza is not cheap. But I have been known to drive 250 miles to the nearest Aurelios (in Florida). To some, Aurelio's is the best pizza in Hammond, IN., but to me it's second best. I'm still a Barton's man myself and always will be. Aurelio's is far superior to it's South Hammond competitors that get much undeserved credit. Their pizza is delicious. Their toppings are all good and fresh. They have a nice little room in the back for small parties. Their salad bar is great. They have a cozy bar area. They have some video games, unfortunately once upom a time they had "Toobin'" but got rid of it years ago.. oh well. There's a nice varitized jukebox, and little jukeboxes at the booths along the wall, at least I think they are still there.. I hope.. I haven't looked. It's pretty affordable and tastes great so why not go and enjoy. For delivery, they are awesome too. My family enjoys collecting their shields. read more

When your server drops off two pitchers of soda when bringing your drinks out that's a pretty good sign that she would like to make as few trips to your table as possible. Got to this restaurant about 35 minutes before they closed, got a pitcher of beer ($8) and a stuffed pizza ($17) which I thought was pricey for a pizza. I ordered from here twice in the past few weeks and both were bad experiences. First, their Italian beef sandwich is just extremely salty, too salty, to the point of being unpalatable. The chicken caeser salad consists of almost nothing but croutons and little else. The second time I ordered I had a pizza delivered, it came fast, in just over 20 minutes, I give them credit for fast service, but it appeared as if it was dropped and it just looked like a absolute mess and it was not hot. The best word to describe this place is average. Looks like an old place that is clean but feels out of date. The service we received was ok, the pizza was overpriced but it was alright, nothing screamed anything more than average.
