We went for one of the grilled cheese/Bloody Mary flight Sundays. They only had on one bartender and one cook so it was a little slow but they huddled! They were all pretty good, standard tastes for a place as such. I didn't realize the entire bar downstairs - which makes sense with all the events that they host - as I only went once to sit outside! Owner Heidi has hosted live jazz music on Sundays for a few years now. There is no charge, and the talent is stellar. We try to make an afternoon of it when we can. Shows are from 1-4pm, and along with their house crafted beer, they also offer a selection of cocktails made with NYS spirits. If you are hungry, they have some creative sandwiches, flatbreads and my favorite, the giant pretzel with beer cheese. Such a gem in the heart of Manlius. read more

What an amazing little pub!! The ambiance in her is spectacular and full of special touches. They offer an awesome curated menu of brews, our favorite being the Irish Red Ale. Great beer, comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, generous servings of okay bar food. My partner and I first noticed the "BREWERY" banner in front of this old church a couple years ago, and meant to get down here sooner. Apparently, they've been in operation since 2016. We walked into the basement bar, which was nicely laid out and even looked a little fancy. The bartender was super-friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the beers. We got a flight of four beers, and my sometime-homebrewer sweetie pronounced the Kolsh pretty solid, and also loved the fruity hefe, which is weird, 'cause she doesn't usually like either hefes or fruity beers. I loved the black IPA, which had plenty of hops and just a touch of malt. The fourth beer was less memorable, but not bad at all. Our glasses were rinsed before they were filled, and the bartender even had a squirt bottle to spray down the outside to make sure that they were beautiful, so, aside from the great flavors, these folks seem serious about serving good beer. Apparently the beer is brewed at the owner's other joint, Erie Canal Brewing, over in Canastota, and there's just a small setup in the back for experimentation. It was trivia night, and the bartender seemed to know almost everybody by name. We wandered upstairs, where there's another, smaller bar, a big open event room, the small kitchen, and a fun-looking outside patio (it was unseasonably hot that day, so we stayed hunkered in the basement). My partner and I were talking about the menu on the way up -- I was hoping that the fancy grilled cheese offerings meant that they were specializing at just one thing, and we were gonna be blown away, and she thought that perhaps they would be standard bar food. She was mostly right -- we got panini-press sandwiches with jelly or preserves. I was hoping for some whole blackberries in mine, but such is life. For all that, the sandwiches were pretty huge, and came with a mound of above-average kettle chips. They arrived quickly, and were tasty. It felt like a reasonable amount of food for $12. If you're looking for fancier food (and I kinda was), A. W. Wander is just down the street, and Diwan is around the corner a bit farther. I'd definitely go back again for beer. read more

Not sure what's going on here? Visited at 7:00 on a summer Saturday night. No one appeared to be working. No bartender. Four people at the bar but that was it. Hoping to find a thriving microbrewery with great food. We will never know. Walked around the entire space and both floors. Still no one working or greeting customers. Looked like a cool place to try, but very disappointed. Walked in near the patio, no one around to greet us, found our way downstairs to the bar. Beer was ok, ordered the corn and ancho app--it was awful. Stale, bottom of the bag chips with obviously canned queso--not one kernel of corn. The only option for food was grilled cheese sandwiches--we left and went somewhere else. Would not recommend this place. read more

If you're looking for a cozy local hideaway with fantastic beer, look no further than Seneca Street Brew Pub. We ventured out in the snow for a place for a quick date night and was so happy to have gone here. While there's some street parking out front, there's a good size lot in the back with a separate entrance. Upstairs in the building features more of a tasting room atmosphere with cans available to go. There's also a large event room that can be rented. Downstairs offers the main bar area with plenty of seating, fire, games, TVs, etc. I had to get a flight to try a variety of their own brews which were all fantastic (I can be picky when it comes to beer). Food wise, we got the pretzel after seeing several others with it and the goat cheese, onion, fig butter grilled cheese which was delicious and gone too quickly for a photo. This place makes you feel like family. I came here for the first time not long after they opened. The staff was so nice, the space was cozy and quiet, buzzing with conversation. I couldn't drink at the time because I was pregnant. Since then my husband kept coming back and we regularly have a growler of their beer in our fridge, which is amazing by the way. This past weekend we went to the pride festival they were hosting, and as soon as I walked in the owner recognized me from over three years ago and asked how I was, got to meet my two children, and even showed us an empty room upstairs for them to run around in if they needed it. It felt like walking into your relatives home, the way we were greeted. The festival was lively, full of music and wonderful people. My kids had such a fun day, even getting their faces painted. A pub that is family friendly is truly a gem to have right around the corner, in the heart of Manlius. read more

My wife and I stopped in over the weekend and had a great time. Megan and Heidi were a pleasure to chat with and the food and beer are awesome. This place is so relaxing and low key , not blaring music so loud that you can't talk. We could watch the Cuse on tv as well. Cute little brewery on the Main Street in Manlius. We didn't really know what to expect upon our arrival. We could tell they weren't really prepared for the governors decision to mandate food being served with drinks, but the food was surprisingly good. The service was kind of slow, but again, as a server I understand how the mandates have thrown a wrench into a lot. The menu options were an assortment of "gourmet grilled cheese". I had the Bacon, Gouda and Apple Grilled Cheese and paired it with their Cloud IPA. Both were very very good! I look forward to coming back and maybe seeing a more extensive menu! read more

Tonight was Trivia Night. What a fun time we had. The pub was packed w great people ready to answer some serious questions. Each team, which could be as small as a single indibidual and as large as six people, were hand a sheet w 5 questions for 5 rounds. Each team turned their sheet w written answers between each roind and received a score. Thr Seneva St Trio held strong til the last round. We lost, but we shall return next Tuesday night. I live this place. Heidi remembered my wife and I. That is special. The staff seems to know everyone. I hope to see you there next week. read more

Cool spot for a beer. Tucked in the basement of a church its easy to miss this place from the street if your arent looking for it. Had a few beers and the caramel porter seemed to be a hit between the family. We did a flight and the red ales are also fantastic. The bartender didnt know much about the beer but once we met one of the owners all of our questions got answered. My brother in law also got a pilsner glass to add to his collection. Solid place for a beer will be back next time in the area. read more

The brewery is located in an old church. Much of the old character is still there. Comfortable outdoor seating area. Nice indoor area as well...will be coming back in the winter time. I rented the party room at the Seneca Street brewpub for my husband's birthday party - they're pricing is so affordable and the space is fantastic! They even threw in the tables and chairs as well as great lighting. We easily fit 50 people, a DJ and lots of food and there was still room for shenanigans! This is a delightful establishment with equally delightful owners and staff. They make some delightful beer here. Their Irish Red is, well.... delightful as is their DIPA. With 28 taps they keep a rotation of other delightful NY Farm Breweries offerings. From Nedloh to Galaxy to Roosterfish to Sloop.
