I had a terrible experience at the salon today when I was assigned an inexperienced stylist. They were supposed to use the notes written by my previous stylsit but I was never told that they couldn't find the notes. After baking my hair for 4 hours no color showed. Instead of apologizing for their mistake the owner Laura Anderson was rude and obnoxious. Without knowing the facts of the matter, she was dismissive claiming that I never had lighter highlights done there previously by their previous part owner Kerry Jo Hensely. I would not recommend a place where they disrespect their clients. Its okay that their stylist was not knowledgeable enough but being rude to their client is in excusable, instead of making amends. read more

Hunter cut my hair, which was short to begin with. Instead of styling it, he cut choppy layers all around. The back is too long and flips up when washed. The sides are too short. I wish he had said he didn't know what to do with my hair. I could have found another place to get my hair cut. read more

My mom only wished that the hair stylist allowed her to just relax and not have much of a conversation the entire appointment. She wanted more of a quiet time. Kerry is lovely! We talked about my hair and she convinced me to try a keratin treatment to smooth my frizzy, 'sparkly' hair (that is what she calls white hair). I was skeptical, but I did it because I really trusted her. She was meticulous and did a lovely job. The final exam was after I washed it. I am pleased to report I love my hair. I know I just got a blow out... but my bounces stayed through out (the whole four days until my hair gets oily and I have to wash) ---- and my hair was so sooo silky and smooth (which prior when I had a blow out my hair still felt dry *definitely did not have the same results and the bounce was already gone half way through the day) she also gave me some great advice on my dry ends which I will definitely put into practice. ask for her! she knows what she is doing absolutely AMAZING! read more

I work 100 feet away from this salon and they wouldn't let me make an appointment without giving them my card number. Some credit cards (like the 2 I have) don't have the card number printed on the actual card, making it difficult to pull up the actual card number while on the phone. That's unfortunate because I can see the salon from my office but cannot book an appointment there. Lol what a stupid business decision. read more

Jennifer at the salon at the domain has met every need as a curly client it's difficult to find a stylist that not only knows how to cut your hair perfectly but also do a fantastic color. I came here hoping to get it fixed, and was able to book an appointment with Ayden quickly. She's super chill and is extremely talented with her work. I will never come back to this salon. I am so upset, that I've been crying for hours. I just move to town and don't know anyone here and based on the images of the salon, it looked decent. I made a reservation and got assigned to Stephanie. I wanted to do a root touch up and refresh my undercut (I usually buzz it to zero). I specifically several times expressed to her that it is very important she would follow the existing hair line and be really precise because I am not filling to loose anymore hair by raising the line if any mistakes occurred. She said she understood. When she was buzzing it, I felt she went past the line into my long hair area, on which she said "don't worry I didn't touch your actual hair". After she was done and I brush my hand through my hair, a huge chunk of it came out. On which Stephanie said "Oops! I guess I cut a little too much! Haha!" I asked her to turn me around and show me how it looks in the back. When I saw the results I could barely hold my tears. She went straight into my long hair with a buzzer and made one side completely messed up. Now in order for me to even it out, I will have to shave off a lot of hair that I am not willing to loose. Or grow it out which would take 2-3 years, cause my hair is really long. I don't understand how someone like this can get licensed and get employed at such nice salon. In my opinion If a hair stylist is not sure he/she can deliver what the client is asking, he/she should never accept the gig. Overall, pretty good. Brought my daughter in for a haircut. She has fairly long hair, but it's thin. The stylist spoke with her about her preferences and gave her expert knowledge. Cindy Saucedo- you're fantastic! Priced well. Not terribly expensive, not exactly cheap, but Cindy did a wonderful job. My only issue is with the front desk. They were not exactly friendly, to say the least. Two of the girls actually had a heated discussion while I was standing there, credit card in hand, waiting to pay. They did not acknowledge my presence until they had completed their conversation, which was well over a minute long. Advice to management: take the initiative and expertise from your stylists and implement it in your lobby. read more

Background: I have very thick, curly/wavy/does what it wants Texas hair. I rarely get my hair cut because most ppl screw it up and its traumatic (usually once a year). Every time i go in i tell my stylist to cut my short layer very short which usually means they need to cut 4+ inches off and to keep my longest layer long as my hair does not grow long or fast. No one seems to listen to this ever and they fight me on it. HOWEVER this was my first time here and Shannon is the FIRST person to actually listen to what I want and constantly ask me throughout if I was happy. She was so patient with me when I kept asking her to cut more off the top. I have never been so happy with a hair cut before and I think for the first time ever I have found someone to go back too. Shannon is so skilled, patient, knowledgeable, and more importantly SHE ACTUALLY LISTENS which IMHO is key to a great experience and haircut. Also, unlike tony and guy and other "top salons" They didn't pressure a sale on products, just laid out what she used and asked if I wanted any and left it at that. read more

I love this salon! I have been going here until just after we moved to Austin in late 2017/early 2018. Kerry is my stylist and is amazing beyond words. I feel like she's family. My hair always looks amazing and on the rare occasion it doesn't turn out quite how we wanted (I had twins and the hormone changes made my hair kind of crazy) she fixed it ASAP. I've come to this salon 3 times and my average rating is 5 stars. The first time I came here I left with beautiful color and I was so happy with my cut. The 2nd time I left very disappointed but they have gone above and beyond to fix my color the next day and make sure it's the beautiful soft golden natural tone that I wanted. Hair is weird and sometimes it absorbs too much toner, sometimes the smallest miscommunication can make you end up with gray ends but having great stylists that will take the time to make sure you're happy is everything to me!
