    Almond Croissant and Maple Latte.

I've passed this place for at least a year or two never came inside. It's a moderately sized place with lovely decor. Outside patio is lovely and large. Service is fast with a variety of healthy menu items all focused on natural and organic gluten free foods down to the pastries. I orders a maple latte which was delicious and an almond croissant. Came with a friend to chat great start to our morning .

We love Austin Tea Xchange! It's seriously the best tea ever! My personal favorite is the peach tea -- it's so good! They also have amazing food with lots of organic options. Both of my daughters tried their very first fried egg here, which makes it such a fun little memory for us. Haha! The service is always amazing, and they have the cutest little patio that makes it such a relaxing place to enjoy a drink or a meal. I definitely recommend!

4.5* Menu has a pretty wide variety, but sometimes you're looking up and down between the counter and board up top. The counter blackboard menu probably has a couple of specials featuring seasonal ingredients. Then when you get to the register there's another special of the day that wasn't featured anywhere else (and was blocked by other patrons standing in front of you). Not much of a service here, you pay first and then choose your seat. Weekday mornings are quite busy too with lots of ladies from workouts or just catching up. There's a small nook on the other side of the wall where you deposit your leftovers/dirty dishes. Pricing is reasonable for trying to eat healthier. If you choose to collect points, it's also fairly easy to get a cash credit quickly.

Austin Tea Exchange has the most delicious food and drinks. It far surpassed my expectations. I tried the quiche, a turkey panini, a chocolate chip muffin, a vanilla latte, and a matcha. True story: I'll eat anything and they were all AMAZING! The ambiance was delightful and serene. It's a perfect place to go for a lunch with a girlfriend or a quaint date spot. I will definitely be back. Thank you Austin Tea Exchange. I love giving 5 star reviews and I'm a tough critic. Thanks for reading.

I enjoy the entire staff and especially Nico who knows what I need every time. Things I have enjoyed are the Ham & Egg Croissant, Spinach Salad and my fave is the Chicken Mozzarella Sandwich. The cafe is always giving a warm hug vibe with lots of seating and great atmosphere.

    Pesto chicken sandwich

this is such a nice spot to bring kids! they have a huge menu with so many delicious, healthy options (vegetarian choices, seed oil free, etc)! I find their quiche to be the best in the area (I'd venture as far to say the state!!) and their pesto chicken sandwich is my favorite lunch go-to. Also try their matcha, It's decadent.

Simply outstanding! The charcuterie board that they did for Hill country indoor members happy hour was scrumptious. Meats, cheese, fruits nuts, you name it! They also have amazing Mexican coffee, several baked goods as well as healthy bowls. Do yourself a favor try this place out you won't regret it!

This place is great for a picky diner-outer like me. Organic coffee, organic eggs, grass-fed beef. I could go on. The service was warm & friendly. This is definitely my new favorite place.

This is the perfect place for patio weather! Such a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. I've had the club sandwich twice now. My latte was beautiful and the yummy. Love the people, too.

    Breakfast

Austin Tea Xchange Café is such a great spot. The menu is very unique. I love that they have options for everyone, and the healthy options are great. My favorite is their breakfast menu; everything is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The pastries are delicious and always fresh. The café has a welcoming vibe and the staff are always friendly and helpful. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and you can always find a quiet spot if you want to get some work done. This is the perfect place. Highly recommend!

It is supposed to be an Americano with a splash of half and half. More like half and half with a splash of coffee.

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

My biggest issue started before I even got seated. There is a QR code that you're required to use to join the waitlist/queue, but this is not clearly communicated on their website. You essentially have to arrive at the restaurant and figure it out once you're there. For a restaurant that is known for having long waits and high traffic, I feel like this information should be clearly stated online so people can plan accordingly. Once I joined the queue, I was number 43 and ended up waiting about an hour and a half before being seated. I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. That definitely made me curious about trying something different if I ever return. I also really enjoyed that they offer hibiscus tea. I was very happy to see it on the menu, although I personally think it would be better served on its own rather than incorporated into one of their mixed drinks. The drink itself was just okay, but the hibiscus flavor was great. Overall, I can see why this place has become an Austin staple, but I think the experience could be improved significantly by making the waitlist process much clearer online and by improving the consistency of some of the food. The menu has a lot of potential, and clearly, some dishes are excellent! Unfortunately, mine just wasn't one of them.

Parking is somewhat limited in the parking lot, however there's plenty of street parking just south on College and Oltorf. The griddle cakes were GIANT. I typically have no problem conquering any breakfast plate but this....well, everything is bigger in Texas as they say. If you're a solo traveler, order a single and ask about their seasonal. It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method.
