The finance manager was straightforward without any high pressure tactics to push additional services, and we even got some all-weather mats thrown in for good measure. I don't live in the area, I was staying in Seattle to help caregive for a family member, and my family needed a vehicle that could transport everyone, their luggage and wheelchairs, etc. I found a certified pre-owned 2023 Pilot and texted with a woman about checking it out on a sunny September afternoon in 2025. Upon arrival, we met with the woman that I'd been texting with, and were handed off to a gentleman to look at the car. He was remarkably knowledgable and low pressure, but felt rather scripted. During the drive, we noticed the steering was pulling one direction. The woman we'd been texting with produced paperwork showing it hadn't had everything done as part of the certification process. I needed a car that wouldn't immediately require a bunch of trips to the shop, so we looked at a slightly more expensive 2023 certified Pilot. This one was making a knocking noise while turning a corner. We went to leave, but I realized that we'd already been looking at Toyota Highlanders and should try a side-by-side comparison. Our gentleman was good enough to park a 2023 with 7k miles on it side-by-side with a Pilot. It didn't need any work, was more comfortable, and the price was right, so we moved forward. The showroom was approximately 80°F. We were offered water, which was supplied unchilled in paper Dixie cups. The first offer presented included items that I didn't request: LoJack (which they said they had already installed so I *had* to pay for it) and a pre-paid maintenance program. The bottom line was the price out the door was $10k more than the advertised price. I told the person that I wouldn't buy a maintenance plan for a Toyota from a Honda dealership, and that LoJack was an accessory they chose to install, therefore legally is included in the advertised price so I would not be paying for it. I also told them I would not be paying their $200 document processing fee as the state does not charge remotely that amount for a title transfer. He came back with another offer that had just the advertised price of the car plus their $200 documentation fee. I pushed back that the $200 documentation fee was something that they were adding to the advertised cost, which truly was the cost of them to do business, and the paper even indicated it was a negotiable fee charged by the dealer. He told me that he'd never seen that fee removed from a sale before. Another gentleman had stepped in at this point, and asked if he were to discount the price of the vehicle by $200, if they'd earn my business. I said yes. They came back with another sheet of paper, with the price of the car discounted by an odd amount (I believe $175), and had added a $2.50 "administrative fee". I pointed this out, that this was a new fee on top of their $200 that they were already charging, and they seemed surprised that it appeared. One of them said "you're really going to make me go back and have them redo this over $2.50?" I should have walked out at this point, but we needed to get back to Seattle, and I didn't want to waste the afternoon. The gentleman told me that the $2.50 would be removed when we went to the finance person to have the final paperwork done, so I relented to the sale. We then waited another hour for their "finance" person to bring us to his (also 80°F) office to sign paperwork. He was good enough to reduce the cost by a nominal amount to get it to a round number, but also pointed out that I'd likely get a refund check from them in a few weeks because they overestimate the tax and title fees otherwise it would come out of his paycheck. He handed me a naked stack of papers for the car after signing and writing the check; good enough to provide a staple for them, but no folio, or even a manila folder. Hitting the freeway north, I realized that the gas gauge was precariously close to E. Bottom line: go elsewhere. This dealership obviously skimps on repair and servicing work that should be included under the manufacturer certification process, and their salespeople gaslight you. read more

Buyer beware. I purchased a used Honda Civic from this dealership, and while the salesperson initially did an acceptable job, the experience quickly went downhill after the sale. When I went to print my purchase documents from email, the bill of sale and licensing paperwork were missing. Only two pages had been sent. I called and asked them to resend the documents, but never received anything. I then drove back to the dealership expecting a simple reprint. Instead, the GM, Carlos Silva, told me they "don't have to provide that on a used car." After I challenged that statement and insisted on receiving my paperwork, the interaction became unnecessarily confrontational. There were several other issues as well: * The car was never detailed as promised before pickup. * I was told the tank would be full, but it was only about 1/4 full. * When I raised concerns, I was told, "they say what they have to say to close the deal." I repeated the statement back to confirm I heard correctly, and Carlos laughed. The situation escalated further with profanity and intimidation tactics from staff instead of basic customer service. I've purchased many vehicles over the years, and this was by far the worst dealership experience I've had. There are plenty of other Honda dealerships nearby. Gene our salesman promised us, 3k off the price... when we got to sign paperwork that price wasn't reflected. It was the tag price. So I asked... then all he could do was 2k off... I should have walked out. but.. my aunt needed a car. On our paperwork was lowjack, he said IT WAS ALREADY INSTALLED and if we wanted it removed, it would cost us... sonwe kept it. reluctantly, as it was 795. So we're there for hours, it feels dirty but we leave with a car. Fast forward 2 weeks... we get a call from Gene, there was a "programmimg" issue with the lowjack... and we need to bring the car in... my aunt gets there, asks to see where it's installed... it never was. This dealership LIES. straight to your face. What's funny is they'd rather make 800 extra on a sale than retain a customer.. Well I dont have a Honda but I bought my Ford here. They were unable to finish the warranty service because of Fords proprietary scanning, but they did everything right. They even went to Ford and Fors told them what was wrong, but warranty woulsnt cover unless they had live readings they cant get with the Snap On tool. Sunset Ford pulled a switch and said Honda didnt know how to change a master cylinder, but the reality is they do. They are better and more honest than ANY Ford dealer I have ever been to. Leading to us running out of gas hours away from home, leading to a tow truck, a car rental and a mechanic bill. We asked them for partial reimbursement since it was their fault/messing up the systems, and they've completely ghosted us. No follow through, no follow up. Their own mechanic immediately identified it as a failing purge solenoid--a known issue--but they refused to fix it because the check engine light wasn't on yet. So they are fully aware the part is failing and still tried to sell it to us. We went round and round asking them to fix it before purchase. This is especially frustrating on a $25,000 vehicle when the repair is not overly expensive--around $600 our cost--which means it would likely cost them a fraction of that to fix in-house. I was supposed to come back the next morning to buy the car, but after doing my own research, it's clear the part has already failed based on the noise. I wasn't going to drive another two hours unless they agreed to either fix it or discount the car so I could handle it myself. No one followed up and no one called back. To make matters worse, when I tried to speak with a sales manager, I was left on hold for 15 minutes with no check-in and no offer to take my number before I finally hung up. I was also told they didn't even know if the manager would take my call. Glad for their text updates to remind me when and where the service was to occur. Adam met me at the service intake area (man, their garage door openers are super fast). On the website, indicated what I wanted to done. They did not upsell on things that I did not want. The pricing was clearly explained and though perhaps a bit high, seemed reasonable. They stuck to that pricing and serviced everything I wanted. The waiting area was comfortable. Free WiFi. Think there was free hot beverages but I did not partake. Adam gave me an estimated time for the service and was spot on. Texted me when the car was ready. Paying was not an issue. They charge 3% for use of a credit card versus cash or debit card. I leased a new car from them that they couldn't get the paperwork straight for weeks, then it broke down after 2500 miles and they tried to charge me for a loaner car. My car about two mornings ago. I walk out and I have an egg shaped bubble on my sidewalk mind you this makes a car unsafe to drive and is 100% a warranty issue the tire itself is defective. They didn't wanna resolve the issue instead. They just gave me a discount on a tire that I had to purchase when this is a manufacturers defect. Now, if everybody checks their emails, you can see that they beg for positive reviews and also tell their people that they will give you $100 incentive towards your next service. I thought that they would at least accommodate me knowing that this was a manufacturers defect and at least apply a heavy credit towards my tire. Well, I was completely wrong. These small issues are what makes her break a companies reputation and makes customers not want to deal or do business with them. I do have text messages showing the price they offered but staff attempted to tell me that was for a different car (although this car is the only one I discussed with the salesperson). I strongly advise against visiting Honda of Sumner. The employees appear to prioritize making sales over serving customers, often resorting to dishonesty. For instance, I was told I couldn't get a video of the truck I was interested in because it was being serviced at Ford. However, I later found out that the sales manager was using the truck for his personal renovation project. This practice seems to be common at Honda of Sumner, where employees are allowed to take vehicles from their inventory for personal use. I purchased a 2017 F350, and my experience with the vehicle was extremely disappointing. The truck had starting issues, very stiff steering and suspension, non-functional side steps, tailgate would only open with key fob and a sunroof that wouldn't open. Additionally, it required new brakes and tires, the 360 cameras were foggy, the tailgate step was missing trim and wasn't secure, the transmission slipped, and there was an engine tick. The day after my purchase, I returned the truck and was assured that the service department would address these issues. However, I was left waiting for over five hours before the sales manager finally provided us with a loaner vehicle. This was only because the service department had shut down for the day and left without communicating anything. After a week and a half of no updates, I reached out for a status check. My salesperson responded, "I'll look into it." I waited all day for further communication but received nothing. Eventually, I was informed that Honda of Sumner had ordered the wrong part and that my vehicle would be ready as soon as the correct part arrived. After waiting for two weeks, I contacted the financing department and finally received a message stating that the truck was ready for pickup. When I collected the truck, I discovered that only one issue--the tailgate button--had been fully addressed during its time in the shop. I reached out again to explain that the truck still had several unresolved issues. I was informed that they had only agree to fix a couple of the problems, and if I wanted the remaining issues addressed, they could offer me a deal. At that point, I wanted to trade the non-roadworthy truck back to Honda of Sumner. I was informed they would look into getting my approval for a new Honda. After another week of waiting, I was told I had been denied. I requested to speak with the general manager but was informed that it would take time for him to get back to me since he oversees multiple stores. When I mentioned contacting the Better Business Bureau and the state attorney's office, I received a call from the general manager the very next morning. I explained all the issues with the truck, and he managed to get me approved for a new Honda--but only after raising the sale price by over $3,000, which I was told was necessary for approval. By this time, everyone--from the sales department to the financing team to the general manager--was aware that the truck was defective and should have been taken off the market. Instead, they accepted it back and put it back up for sale for $4,000 more than I had originally paid. While they advertise selling quality cars and having a great service department, this is far from the truth and is false advertising (www.hondaofsumner.com). It seems Honda of sumner puts used vehicles up for sale without proper inspection. The entire reason we tried upgraded our truck was to provide my disabled brother with the ultimate camping experience, but Honda of Sumner has ruined that for us. Then as I was picking up the vehicle tried to upsell on more recommended work. I love my car but Honda really hits you hard for some of their maintenance procedures. They make it pretty hard for anyone else to do the work And then charge inflated prices for things like drain plugs and Honda branded fluids. Went to trade in my vehicle, they not only lowballed me on my trade, but then failed to not only identify an issue with the used car I was buying, but also failed to fix it when I identified it during test drive. I was assured it would be fixed before paperwork, and within 12 hours of signing papers the engine light was on and the engine was knocking. My wife took her 2024 HR-V in for the first oil change and differential service. They did the oil change but not the differential service, but charged us $165+. We found out when she took it to another dealer for the second oil change. They said they would make it right, but when my wife went back for a recall, it still shows it has not been done in the Honda Service Record. Very dishonest dealership. read more

We will no longer purchase from this dealership. At first, it was great. But Alvaro (one of the managers) entered the picture, he was a complete tool. Had this very "big dick" attitude. He approached us with so much unprofessionalism and threats on "I can make more money on this vehicle at the auction down the road". Rather than sit with us and explain his side, he decided to stand and tower over us while talking then just walked away. Then proceeded to make us "have to buy" the LoJack when it was only optional. We asked for them to take it off, which we were fine with, but still was tryng to make us buy the optional parts of the vehicle. Alvaro makes this experience a negative star review, and we will never come back if this is how customers are treated. The only great part of this experience was Fidel, the sales agent. 1/5 stars - and that's only because two of the employees were genuinely helpful and honest about how poorly things are handled by others at this location. My experience here was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. There were multiple miscommunications regarding pricing, and when I requested a detailed breakdown of the repairs via email--so I could discuss it with my husband, given the significant cost--I received no response. I felt completely cornered into approving expensive repairs without fully understanding what I was agreeing to. When I initially went in to ask about my two warranties, I was told that everything should be covered except for about $140, which I was okay with. However, I was told they needed a manager's review and signature. I returned the next day, only for the manager to completely deny the coverage and make me pay the full amount out-of-pocket. I asked to see a paper copy of one of my warranties and was refused. At that point, I needed my car back, so I paid in full. To make matters worse, when I got my car back, it was returned in unacceptable condition: there was sticky residue all over, the AC vent switch no longer slides, and the light on my driver-side sun visor is now dim. I called once to follow up and was placed on hold until I had to hang up due to work. No follow-up since. Absolutely terrible service. I should have trusted the red flags the last few years. This place is unorganized, dishonest, and shows no accountability. Drove into the parking lot right at 7pm to pickup a friends vehicle that broke down and was left for service. I drove right past 3 people who were getting into their cars. (In hindsight they were the employees) One girl a brunette had a stank look on her face, but did not bat an eye in my direction despite by driving 5 ft away from her and her window which is wide open..... my window is also wide open.... I get the vehicle from the service parking lot and start driving out at 7:10pm only to find that the front gate had been locked with me inside of their lot. What a bunch of inconsiderate knuckleheads. It would have taken a 10 second heads up for them to tell me the gate was being locked. I now understand why the gal had a stank look on her face. They are lucky I only live 15 min away and opted not to drill their lock out with the tools in my truck. Ended up taking a uber home. So thank you to the Rairdon staff for knowingly locking me in their lot at night, you guys get the genius award. Got down there and the lady stated it would be $150. I told her I called and he stated me $80, but she just said "sorry". So I left. He argued with me when I didn't want to pay the $800 lo jack fee that was not included in the car price. He said I didn't have a choice and it was part of the car just like a wiper etc. I eventually asked to speak to the manger. I took the tires to a tire shop and they are dangerously low but was told they past their inspection. They are a 5 and a 4 is hazardous. So they need to be replaced. I was told at the time of purchase I could buy "recommended" Lexus tires at cost for them after I flight the car of I had problems. My car is literally skidding on the pavement, I had the same type of car prior and never skid. The sales manager called me and said he didn't know if I could purchase tires and that I bought a used car and there was nothing they could do for me. I had a fantastic experience with all aspects of my dealings with the Rairdon's Honda of Sumner. Rondell was my salesman, and was an enormous help and was knowledgeable about the car I ended up purchasing, despite not being a Honda. No attempts to hardsell add-ons, and was quick with arranging all the paperwork for the purchase. Domonick was also incredibly professional, efficient, and made the purchase as smooth as possible. I am very disappointed in the service I received at Rairdon Honda of Sumner. I had a sales person that wasn't vert good at follow up or listening to what I wanted. I had to contact her to see what was going on with the car that I was interested in. She never would never really would answer some of my questions that I had. When I was interested in a car, she had to run around looking for the keys, very unorganized. I found a car that I was interested in, it showed that it was on your lot, however it was being shipped in, not sure why you would put that you have a car on your lot when it's not there to look at. I had to wait a week for it to come in. Then when we talked numbers we went back and forth a few times, the price actually dropped on line so I took that into account in my numbers. I offered them a number, they said they would have to look to see what it took to fix the car to what I wanted. They let me leave. I had to contact them to see what was going on with the car, I kept hearing let me check, didn't hear back, so the next day I contacted them again, got, looking at it now, so I asked what does that mean? I was told they would have an answer for me soon, didn't heat anything back, contacted her the next day, I felt that she was too busy working on other deals, as she told me she was with other clients. I felt that I was getting the run around. Finally, I asked if the number I gave them was still a no, she said unfortunately that was the case. No problem, I took my business elsewhere. I called another dealer ship that had a car that I wanted, went and looked at it, from the time I left my house drove 30 min bought the car and was back home it was only 4 hours not two weeks with no answers. The lack of professionalism at your dealership was something I had never experienced before. I ended up walking away from buying a car over $1,000. read more

I would avoid this place at all costs. Very untrustworthy. I went in to buy a car and the sales guy was great to deal with. We came to an agreement on the sticker price and went to work up the documents. After working for an hour and coming to an understanding of the finance needed. We went to get the loan. The floor sales rep and myself were on the same page. The manager adjusted my final price without telling either of us and we both didn't catch it til the very end. They didn't honor their agreed price and made an excuse as to when I called them out....the response from the manager....take it or leave it. I left it and walked out after 3 hours. I will never go back and based on the two stars, it seems this is on par. read more
