    Cucumber salad

Had an amazing meal here and great service, one of the only places left in chagrin with draft beer & good draft beer at that! Great selection. My mom & I both loved our Tinman smash burger, fries are thick cut but crispy, the cucumber salad was so so good - we finished it between the two of us. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

One of the best smash burgers we've ever had! Awesome new spot in downtown Chagrin with the perfect burger vibes.

    Chicken tenders and fries!

Waited for 15 min after being seated. Not even acknowledged. We walked out. After watching 2 other tables walk out because of zero service.

We visited 17 River Grille for my mom's birthday (her suggestion, as she had previously been there…read morefor lunch), and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We had an amazing experience. Per our request, our party of six was seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Chagrin River waterfall, which made for a beautiful setting. One thing to note: you cannot reserve patio seating in advance, but you can request it upon arrival if space is available. We started with four appetizers: *Heavenly Biscuits - AMAZING. *Short Rib Potstickers - Excellent. *Spinach Artichoke Dip - Excellent. *Grilled Artichoke - Good, but not really my style of dish. For entrées, we tried several different items: *Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper) - Excellent, although the portion was on the smaller side. *Lake Erie Walleye Fish & Chips - Very good. *Thai Steak Noodle Salad - Excellent. *Steak and Frites - Excellent. We also ordered two sides: *Coleslaw - Very good. Is it the best coleslaw I've ever had? No. Is it excellent and worth ordering? Absolutely. *Roasted Baby Yukons - Excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant graciously provided a complimentary dessert sundae. While the gesture was appreciated, I do wish guests were given a choice of dessert. The sundae was fine, but with several outstanding ice cream shops nearby, the ice cream itself was fairly average. Service was quick and efficient overall. There were a few minor areas for improvement: Wet naps would have been appreciated, as we had to request extra napkins multiple times throughout the meal. Service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush. The steak entrée arrived noticeably later than the rest of the main courses, which may have been due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. It also took a little longer than expected to receive extra plates when requested. These were relatively minor issues, however, and did not significantly detract from the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food, a beautiful patio overlooking the waterfall, and solid service. We would gladly return and would certainly recommend it for special occasions or a nice evening out.

He was very attentive and very funny as well! we are STILL talking about that meatball! seriously, i can't say enough good things about it! the meatball itself was fork tender, and seasoned to perfection. that sauce complimented the meat wonderfully, while the ricotta and fresh herbs offered a creamy, herby finish! i dipped the bread into the sauce and it was incredible! i opted for the limoncello martini which comes with a shaker for refills. $9 and i got about 2 1/2 drinks out of it. my boyfriend got the dragonfruit margarita and a classic margarita (not pictured) both pretty strong and delicious for happy hour drinks. my boyfriend really enjoyed the calamari! it's very flavorful featuring crispy peppers and tiny bits of fresh garlic. i loved the lemon aioli that was served on the side. we wrapped it up with carrot cake that they split for us. served warm, with a sweet cream cheese icing and caramel drizzle that compliments the cinnamon, nutty flavor. such a delicious treat after the drinks and appetizers! we were going to order a pizza but we got too full LOL! an awesome date location that features happy hour 7 days a week. our bill came to roughly $110 after tip which is very affordable for the area in which this restaurant is located. highly recommend trying them out for a date, friend catch up, or even a special event!

Highlights: the carbonara was absolutely delicious!!! Creamy but not heavy. The peas were sweet and well seasoned. It gave me the impression the chef seasoned throughout cooking not just at the end. The chicken and waffles was also a win. Waffles were bouncy and soft, the homemade whipped cream was addicting. Chicken was crispy and moist. The spritz flight I was not a fan of. Reading the menu it made sense why it tasted more like a mimosa flight but I was expecting mint in the Hugo spritz and a things a little more elevated. At the same time it was such a good price so simple made sense but a tad too sweet for me. Next time I would rather order the spritz individually and see if it's any different. Would love to come back and have the fun again! April 2026

The food was overall, very bland. It was expertly prepared, fresh, and beautiful. But the taste was quite boring. Be prepared to eat a second dinner when you get home. Also be prepared to sit at the bar- this place is very tiny. The vibe is nice. Low ceiling, dimly lit, comfortable cozy. The server/ bartender (I'm pretty sure she was running the whole place) Nikki, was phenomenal. So friendly, good drinks. We started with the oysters which were good. The mignonette sauce was a little different, it had lemon zest in it. It was very good! But the give you laughable amount. Like, a splash. Then we had the fig and prosciutto toast. This was the highlight for us. Tasty all the way around, 4 generous servings on the plate. Jam was so good and the prosciutto was warmed up ever so slightly. I had the hangar steak with some unseasoned boiled carrots. The steak was tender and high quality, but I couldn't taste a bit of seasoning. Also served with a tiny crispy potato pancake. Husband had the halibut special. This had some wasabi crust and if you got a bite of the wasabi it was good. The bites that weren't crusted were boring fish. Again, very fresh and prepared well. Black rice and asparagus also boring. I got a hint of lemon on one bite I tried. We also had the Brussels sprouts, which were charred along with the few pork belly pieces. Husband finished with a whiskey crème brûlée which he enjoyed. He did not, however, enjoy his Dark and Stormy. He said it was all booze and no beer or mix. Sadly, we won't be back.

This time, I brought my family along for lunch, and it did not disappoint! We took advantage of their happy hour specials, which included half-off pizzas, select appetizers, and drinks. We started with the Street Corn Nachos and added grilled chicken. They were absolutely incredible--easily some of the best nachos we've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and every bite was delicious. We also ordered the whipped feta, which was simply divine and a must-try. For our entrées, one person ordered the pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed it. I had the sausage pasta, which was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light while still being incredibly satisfying. The third entrée was the Thai noodles , and it was another hit. Everyone commented on how fresh and well-prepared their meal was. The service, as always, was impeccable. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. What really stands out about this restaurant is the teamwork. Everyone pitches in, whether it's bringing out food, clearing plates, or noticing your water glass is getting low. It doesn't matter if they're your server or not--they make sure you're taken care of, and that level of hospitality really makes a difference. The restaurant is also spotless, and I love that the open kitchen allows you to watch the team preparing the food. It adds to the overall experience and shows how much care goes into every dish. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or happy hour, this place consistently delivers. Great food, outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a beautiful space make this one of my favorite restaurants in the Cleveland area. If you're visiting the Pinecrest area, do yourself a favor and make this a stop--you won't regret it!

Waitress seemed like she had an attitude and then got her manager. Her manager then comes over and tells us he will let it slide this time since we were already seated but his last comments didn't sit well with me. Is this a statement that is said to everyone that is seated in the happy hour area or was it just said to my family & I? Although we did order happy hour, we also ordered off the regular menu & the kids menu for the kids that were with us. Distasteful comment. I'll stick to the Westlake location.
