Serviceable food for a casino. Kind of like airport food in these parts. Pay a lot and don't set your expectations too high and you'll be fine. Payouts on the slots? That's a whole other story. I've walked out of the casino way up, and way down. Today, they beat me. Better luck next time, right?

My wife and I dined here while we were at Thistledown for the Kentucky Derby festivities. We opted to just have a few appetizers instead of a full sit down meal. Here we go.... Crab Cakes- tasty but nothing special, I was a little disappointed. Lobster Fondue French Fries- interesting menu item. Crispy fries, tasty sauce and good amount of lobster meat. Eat it while it's still hot though, sauce started to thicken as it cooled. But worth the $$ Short Rib Tacos- my favorite of the three! Three nice sized tacos loaded with flavor. Definitely worth the $$! Servers were very freindly and attentive. Didn't mind that we came in with a drink purchased elsewhere in the Racino. In my opinion the best food option at Thistledown.

I would like to give this place a 5 star but for as fancy as this place is on the inside you would think they would have more than one waiter taking care of 6 tables. He was basically running from one side to another trying to get his tables served but he shouldn't have to do that if they would have planned out the tables accordingly. When he brought our food out my sandwich was ok until I got a piece of rubbery chicken. The fries were cold and he was so busy he refilled my water once but never asked if we wanted another drink. Hubby loved his burger with with a beef short rib said it was cooked perfectly but his fries were cold. Overall loved the decor and the food was just ok. The service wasn't our waiters fault because he seemed overwhelmed with all the people trying to please everyone something management should have noticed since this guy was literally running from one end of the building to the other. I would give these place another try but I won't get the chicken again next time maybe I will sit at the bar and try the burger. You seem to get better service at the bar. This place is located inside the Jack casino and racetrack ( the old Thistledown Racino) the casino is actually expanded the playing floor and added some new dining options.

I tried to find a reason not to give 5 star review but this is our second time here and it is outstanding. The food the wait staff are all top shelf++. My wife had the fillet and ordered it medium well they did a perfect job and did not even ask to butterfly it. The appetizer, dinner and dessert all fantastic.

Very good for a casino. I would say best restaurant in a casino in the Cleveland market. Had the walleye finger appetizer and the flat iron skirt steak. Both very good !! Will try again.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Booked a reservation and had no issues…read more Shared the apple pie margarita, which was dangerously good. Since we were hungry, we followed another yelper's advice of getting an appetizer since we were warned the mains can take 30-40 minutes. Ordered the cracklin wings--got the ghost pepper dry rub which was recommended by the staff who also reassured me that it wasn't too spicy given that it was also sweet and came with ranch. Tasted great, super crispy on the outside, chicken not the most juicy but still tender. 4/5. Also ordered the truffle orcchiette, pork chop, and heirloom carrots. The truffle orcchiette had a great al dente texture but surprisingly compared to the other yelper reviews, was saltier than expected. 4/5 Favorites were definitely the pork chop and heirloom carrots. The pork chop came without the bone, already chopped up, and was the he most tender pork chop I've had. 5/5 The carrots were so well seasoned, with a great charred taste and came with an addicting puree. 5/5 Service was fantastic, with great recommendations. While the birthday guest was away from the table, I did sneakily ask if they do anything for birthdays, and the staff said that they do a scoop of ice cream. Since the sticky toffee pudding already came with a scoop of ice cream, they were considerate to do 2 cookies instead--the cookies weren't too sweet and reminded me of brownie batter. Sticky toffee pudding was good. 4/5 Restaurant is located in Pinecrest so parking available as free parking in a garage about a block away or as pay by mobile street parking. Ambience is great, perfect for a nice meal for a date or hangout. Overall a great place to celebrate a special occasion due to all the good food choices and staff who know how to treat birthday guests well.

Crispy batter was light, the sauce was lemony and delicious. Ordered an espresso martini that was also very good. For mains I got the Peruvian chicken. They were thighs and had a nice char and was juicy, potatoes were mildly seasoned so I asked for ketchup. Service was pretty quick when we were first ordering. But getting our checks took a while. Overall we had a great time!

1/2 - Good tacos, service needs work…read more While on a business trip with two coworkers, we stopped in at Agave & Rye for a quick lunch. It wasn't our first choice, but it ended up being a decent find--especially if you're in the mood for creative tacos. We arrived well after the lunch rush and there were only a handful of patrons in the restaurant, so it was fairly quiet. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but unfortunately they never made it to the table. When our food arrived and I asked about them, our waitress admitted she had forgotten to write it down. The food also seemed to take a bit longer than expected considering the restaurant wasn't busy. Because of that, the service was a little underwhelming. That said, the tacos themselves were the highlight of the visit. I ordered three of the smaller tacos, but they packed a lot of flavor. My picks were The Yoda, The Love Shack, and The Filthy Fajita--all creative and really well done. Small in size, but definitely big on flavor. Overall, the food was solid, but the service could use some improvement. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see this being a good happy hour spot to grab tacos and drinks with friends.
