After getting into an accident late last month I was in need of a new car when my old one was declared a total loss. I didn't have much of a budget so I had started at a spot in gardena that held auctions. I almost pulled the trigger on a car, but after talking to my friends I held back. I did some research and found some cars at local dealerships, but each had some recent terrible reviews. When I came across AutoBoyz I couldn't believe the 5-star reviews across the board on both Yelp and Google Reviews. I live in Culver City, but made it a point to at least go and check out their inventory. Upon arriving I was greeted by Bob who politely told me if I had any questions to let him know. I was then left alone to check out their current inventory. I came across a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta, which I really liked. I asked for the CarFax and what it would cost out the door. Bob gave me a print out copy of the CarFax as well as a full breakdown of what it would cost. I ended up leaving to check out some more cars at other dealerships to compare, but left happy with the no hassle experience. After running in to the typical pushy car salesman I came back to AutoBoyz the next day. Bob walked me through all the paperwork thoroughly and I drove off in a new pre-owned vehicle for myself. Scammers! Horrible customer service! They don't give a safety or maintenance check before selling. 2 days after buying, car did not start. Bootleg warranty. Still had to pay $180 out of pocket for a new starter! Customer service is B.S.! Because there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! It's only salesmen service! They lie and rob people. Do not buy from them. They do not explain the contact at all. Just a brief run down, saying "yea, I know you're tired so let's get you out quick ". If you ask questions they get annoyed and quick not detailed answer. A junkyard could provide better service and operating vehicles. The mechanic also found more wrong with the car. Randy and Joe are a joke. How do you let a person drive off a lot without a safety/ maintenance check. Not a reputable place to get a reliable vehicle. Auctions or anywhere else is safer and cost efficient. Drove the truck for 200 miles in 2 weeks. No oil in transmission even when they were bragging about their HIGH maintenance and all. Don't know if they knew or didn't care but just had a bad experience going through insurance and all. Got my money back but good customers service some may say. They took the truck to the dealership next day and the report came back saying bad transmission so nothing they can do about a 10k transmission to fix. Truck was not worth saving it. read more

Decided to share my experience with Auto Boyz. I've purchased and sold cars many times throughout my life and this was the best experience. We received many offers using sites like Trucar, Autotrader, Kbb, Cargurus, etc. I visited several dealers only to get disappointed in what they finally ended up offering, despite their empty promises to get me in the door. This is a unique hot used car market due to chip shortage. I wasted over 2 hrs at one dealership! Someone from Auto Boyz gives me a call on our way to the grocery store at around 5pm and I pick up. He offers me a good price matching the highest offers we received from others. I'm skeptical after what I experienced. I tell him he probably won't give me that after nitpicking scratches and dings at the inspection. He claims otherwise. I also say it's already getting dark so it could be hard to inspect. He says not to worry about it. We decided to give him a shot. With my wife and toddler sitting in the car, he does a quick inspection and then tells me wait a minute while he goes into his office. He comes back and gives us the best deal we could ask for...no haggling needed, no discussion whatsoever. He felt it was a fair deal, we shook hands, and that was that. He then had some friendly worker drop us off at home 10 minutes away afterwards. They were very professional, customer service friendly, and most importantly, didn't waste our time. read more

On October 3rd, 2018 I purchased a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE with 97k miles. I'm going to share my experience with buying this used car at Auto Boyz in Garden Grove, California. This could get long but I want to try and detail what I went through and why I whole heartedly would recommend my family & friends to this used car dealer. I first called the dealer to make sure that the Camry was still available. A salesman named Joe answered the phone and confirmed it was. Now it was about less than an hour before they were closing but he told me I could come on down and check it out. I got there and it was 30 minutes till they were scheduled to close. He didn't mind and didn't rush me at all. Joe was very nice - professional and honest! I've always had my reservation with used car lots and their pushy salesman tactics. However, none of that was present here. Joe answered all my questions and then we went for a test drive. First of all, the car was in great condition and they had it for a fair price too. I remember looking back at their inventory online and thought they had a solid stable of used cars. What I really liked about my experience with Joe was that he had nothing to hide about the vehicle. He showed me the Carfax report (which they have for all their vehicles) and even the 30+ point inspection report that they put all their cars through which is done by a local mechanic shop nearby. At this point during the test drive, I was speaking openly with Joe about how neighboring used car lots (I've shopped around, called and read numerous reviews online) do this thing where they tack on a "dealer fee" sometimes to the tune of up to $1k. For no good reason, separate from sales tax, registration, etc - they just have that and I believe that amount just goes straight to their pockets! So I asked him if they have this type of fee and Joe straight up said NO, that he is aware of other used car dealerships who use this tactic to make extra money. At that point, I had a good enough conversation with Joe to know that he wasn't full of it and when we got back to his office he even showed me on paper everything that I was going to be charged for on top of the car itself - basically unavoidable sales tax & registration fees, etc. At one point during my walk around inspection of the car I noticed that the hood latch release was not working. It wouldn't release the hood to open. I mentioned it to Joe and he made sure to wrote it down on the things they will take care of after the sale. I had a trade in, they took that as my down payment and I financed the remaining balance. No other money down, just the trade in. I do have excellent credit and got a fair interest rate - this is a used car at a used car lot so you can't expect new car interest rates from a big name dealer. Well over an hour past their closing time, I was a new owner of a pre-owned Camry Hybrid! Joe Peraza was the salesman I dealt with and I genuinely enjoyed my car buying experience because of his great personality and honesty. His boss, Bob, was also there and although I only had a very small interaction with him, I would say based off of that, he too shares the same values. Overall, they have great customer service, great cars and fair pricing. I'd like to add that a few days after taking my Camry home, I ended up at their repair show and they sorted out the hood latch release problem quickly and they too had great customer service (Zuby's Brake, Tires & Wheels - just down the street from them also in Garden Grove). I have already told family & friends about my positive experience here and I will recommend them due to the way they treated me. I wish more used car lots operated this way. Great job Auto Boyz! Dont do it i like the car cold MONEY GAME. So i put 4000 down or gave them 4000 for this vehicle that i like. The car was 10588 okay. In the end they got 10,000 from loan company plus my 4,000. I have to pay for the car renewal 250. 321 car note and car full coverage. I will say this to you next customer. Put your money in your pocket until the loan company call i would not fill bad if it was a down payment to lower my amount but it DID NOT lower anything. Car Gurus paymet was 120 with a 4500 down payment. Some thing is very off. read more

My experience with this car dealership I was looking around on several online market apps and ran across AUTO BOYZ. I havent financed A car since 2001. So I wasn't sure what the requirements were now in 2019. I read the add this dealer was running I seen something alone the lines of this. NO ID - NEW JOB - NO - DRIVERS LICENSE - SELF EMPLOYED - BAD CREDIT - REPOS - NO LIFE JK on this last one. I was like damn if I cant get approval from this place then sh*t I better just pay cash. So called and a salesman man name Joe Peraza answered the phone. I told him my situation and how I wanted to go about buying a truck with financing. I told him look bro I dont want to waste mine or your time I said let's do a worst case scenario for approval. He was all for it so I gave him some very limited information but factual information. And he said I see where your going with this and when he said that he clearly understood the page I was on. He did some calculations and I was ok with that. I gave him my word and told him I'll see him in a few hours. Well I get there I like the truck ONE THING I CANT STAND IS BULLSH*T. They will sell you a pile of junk within 2 days my wrack and pinion was leaking on the car that cost me 1750 which they did not want to pay, then a couple week later the car over heated and destroyed my engine which now I have to pay over 2000 to fix and only having the car less than 2 and a half months. Do not think they are selling you a good quality car. Bring your own mechanic and have him inspect it and he would tell you the same. I purchased a 2014 Nissan Sentra from Bob and Tom on 07/04/17. The car had approximately 67,000 miles on it at time of purchase. As of today 01/11/19, the car has 96,345 miles. In less then 30,000 miles the transmission went out on me while I was driving back to Orange County from Phoenix, the transmission mounts came off on my birthday, and I have check engine lights on a near constant basis. When the transmission went out(in the middle of the desert) they advised me to reach out to a tow truck company because they were unwilling to cover it and stated my warranty only covered 60 miles or so. The vehicle would only go 30mphs so I was forced to drive it back on the freeway in dangerous conditions. My vacation to Arizona had been ruined but they were gracious enough to lend me a vehicle off the lot once I made it back until a new transmission could be installed. Everything was fine for 5 months until I was ready to go out on my birthday and I heard extremely loud clunking in the hood of my car. They advised me to drive the car from Mission Viejo to Garden Grove! Once they realized how upset I was, they offered to cover the tow truck costs and got it fixed. Again they offered a car off the lot to quell my frustration. Then came the check engine lights. As I began to reach out to them about these they became noticeably more irritated with me and stated, there was a new policy about not lending cars off the lot. They advised me to go spend $100 and rent a car, all while this Nissan is under their warranty(which I paid $1,000 for) I am beginning to feel that I was sold a lemon and am looking into lemon law attorneys. I have been beyond patient with them but the problems with this car are interfering with my job and personal life. I am never the one to bring lawyers into the mix but I truly feel that I have been duped. If anyone has a recommendation for an attorney, please let me know. At this time, I would clearly not reccomend purchasing a used vehicle from these gentlemen. read more

I wish I could put 0 but I'm forced to put 1 stars that they do not deserve.They sold me a mini suv (lemon) in October 2 weeks later he said I was not approved because I had "fake paystubs " lol that's what my boss gives me lol and my boss said they never even called her to ask if I worked there. It's a scam . Also he told me to lie to the finance company when they called me because I didn't have a down payment at this time. So auto boys " loaned" me the $500 down. So when they called me and said I was not approved I got my daughter to co Singh. I put $500 down and was supposed to bring $500 more in 1 week my dad was on his death bed and it was urgent that I use that next $500 I had to take a plane to see him. I did call autoboyz and let them know that I will be back in about a week and I'll come pay them. But joe threatened if I don't pay him right away he will come repo it. When I got back home I my husband had used the vehicle and told me it was overheating and sounded really bad. This was only 2 weeks after my daughter co signed. I took the car back and joe told me to leave it and his mechanic we fix it and give it back to me. This was 3 days before thanksgiving. I called and also my daughter called joe every single day to see if it was ready and to put the rest of the down payment. After weeks of run around and not being able to enjoy the holidays with family due to that being our only vehicle and joe knew this. He finally came up with a few excuses 1 we put too many miles on it so we made the transmission go out.2 it was our fault that they didn't do an inspection on it before selling it to us. So we were driving it with no oils or water. He said it would be too much to repair and it was not worth it for them so they called the bank and canceled our contract and said we could not get our money back that we put down. Shady. So for 2 months me and my kids had to walk everywhere till I could raise the money for a new car. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT DESERVE YOUR TIME&MONEY! me and my Bf drove from SD to Auto Boyz OC to check out a car we really liked, very interested in buying (That's almost 2 hrs away) Kevin was the one that showed us the car,Everything was good, when he pulled out the car Squeaked in reverse (ok my bf said that happens w/ new brakes sometimes they need to be broken into) we test drove it around the block, was going good. We bought it (BIG down payment) 20-30 minutes into heading home the back bumper was coming off. We had to pull over, make a stop and adjust it in the middle of LA traffic (that was fun) and then we see that the clips that hold on the bumper are broken we immediately contacted Kevin he said he would let his boss know and they sent us a picture of the card for us to contact the shop where it can get fixed But obviously we were already on our way home so we just put it off for another day. They told us we would need to leave the car there OVER NIGHT to do the job, just for some damn clips. Not considering we drove 2 hrs there and the fact that we have our own responsibilities at home, we can't just stay the night there. Ok we're back home and the car is still squeaking in reverse pretty obnoxiously and even sometimes breaking forward. The sound comes and goes. (Ohh and we noticed the alignment was a little off and we wouldn't have been able to notice that because we didn't get to test drive it on the freeway only around the block of the Lot) so That same week we took it to get looked at by a mechanic that has done work for us in the past and said everything looked good and that the brakes are new so that eased my concern Of the noise. A little over a month later, one day I'm just driving normal out of NO WHERE the sound of that Obnoxious loud squeaking that happens when I go in reverse and dragging chains combined with the JUST MARRIED cans that are put on the back of cars, sounds starts and I didn't think it was me at all, neither my passengers that I had w/ me cuz it was so sudden. Turns out it was us/The Car, so once again we took it to get looked at by another mechanic and he told us the brakes are in fact new but NOT the RIGHT ones for the car and the placement was wrong, he recommended we contacted the dealership first because it was going to be $1300 out of our pocket. So we contacted them that same day about the noise, told us they will call us back, DIDNT we called them again, they said Joe (the manager/ boss) will contact us.. we told him how since day 1 that we got the car it squeaked and it always did but now this happened and we told him how we even got it checked out TWICE and they said the brakes are in fact new just the cheap quality ones and not placed right and Joe said "idk i don't trust other mechanics I have my mechanic here and he's worked on our cars for many years" he gave us the info. to contact them to schedule an appointment for the car to be "inspected" and he said "I can't promise you the moon, the stars and the planets" etc and "Our reputation is very important us" so we held out as long as we could, about another week or two because we couldn't just drop our stuff and drive two hours out there for however long for the job to be done, my bf works 5-6 days a week. The sound comes and goes but The car was making that terrible noise and it wasn't going away, so we didn't drive it for almost a week. we finally had a day off, contacted that mechanic about how Joe gave us theyre info. to get the car looked at my concern was driving up there two hours that's our time, and gas just to get the car inspected and nothing Actually done to fix the issue. Joe reassured that "if there is something wrong it will be taken care of" And just our luck the car was making that noise when we started it up and driving up there and then it stopped during the way and when we got there and when we explained to them they looked at us like we were crazy. I'm like OK you can't hear it right now so just inspect it! You will see there is something wrong it shouldn't be making those noises at all and indeed they checked and said it needed something done and ok obviously if it needs it then that's whats wrong with it. A just bought car shouldn't "need" anything. We were back and forth w/ the dealership, Kevin said he didnt remember the car and or if it squeaked wtf it was literally a little over a month ago "idk there's so many cars" the car we got is a nice and a rare find, you don't forget like that and it's a small dealership. When they said for us to call back in 30min cuz "Joe was in a meeting". We waited and called like 3 times and no answer. Joe messaged us saying they will cover half the charges. Why tf would we intentionally drive 2 hours out there for a problem we made up. He wasn't understanding us or sympathizing with us at all so we just did it and now we're home and all the issues were not resolved. This car dealership has given us the whole run around for the title since we purchased our car in June. It's now August. We just received our title in the mail, which they said we wouldn't receive because they had "already sent it up to the dmv in Sacramento". They told us they did not have the title and that our loan holder would receive the title. Just a week ago my husband and I received the title in the mail with the previous owners name still on it. Auto Boyz claimed to have spoken to our loan holders and that they directed them to send the title to us with the previous owners name on it. Unfortunately, that is false because we spoke to our loan holders and they have no documentation of Auto Boys reaching out to them. The guys at auto boyz are air heads, liars and highly unhelpful. They don't care about what happens after you step off that lot. Way to build a name for yourselves. They've also hung up on us twice while regarding this situation. They're full of stories and misleading help. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
