SCAM CITY - BUYERS BEWARE Buckle up, story time. I've been looking for a Lexus SUV for my family for a while. I saw Vision Hankook on Cars.com, and the LX570 was priced very competitively and looked amazing in pics. I spoke with Mateen, who was very eager and friendly, so this gave me high hopes. He also texted me videos and even more pictures, which had me salivating, thinking it was an amazing deal. I WAS WRONG. As I'm coming from San Diego (2 hours south via train), I told him it was important that the car be ready for me to see and that a local mechanic (near the dealership) review it. I would obviously pay for this service. Mateen had no issues with this and was *confident* the car would pass with flying colors - perfect! Our appointment was set for the following day at 11 am. The following morning, I take the day off work and book a train ticket to head up for our mutually agreed appointment, less than 24 hours prior. This is where things go wrong. 3/4 of the way up to our appointment, I received a text: "I apologize for today, I have to cancel, I just found out the owner sent the car to auction yesterday afternoon, it won't be possible to view the car today, it should be back tomorrow, can you come tomorrow?" ABSOLUTELY NOT. But also, why would you take a car to sell at auction, then tell me it will be there tomorrow? Mind you, Mateen had sent me pictures of the car the afternoon prior, so I don't know when this would have happened. I explain that I am on the train and will not cancel the appointment; I will still go to his office, OR I will take an Uber to see the car at the auction. At this point, I am committed. I could sense that scared Mateen a little. He scrambled, said the owner had been notified, and that he would have the car at the dealership by 4 pm that same day. Extremely frustrated by the lack of communication and professionalism, but I've already committed time/money to this journey, so I'd like to see it through. When I arrived at his office, Mateen greeted me very apologetically and had me wait in one of the cubicles next to what looked like a TikTok spam bot center with multiple cellphones ringing and chirping over and over. I informed Mateen that I'd like to speak with the owner and find out where the car was so I could see it at the auction. He said we were in luck! The car was on its way. Great!! 15, 20, 30, 45 minutes go by. I ask Mateen, "Do we have an ETA? If the car isn't coming, I need to book a train home." He says, "Oh, let me get the owner." Out comes another man, whose name I was not able to remember, and he says, "Oh, the car is next door at the mechanic." Weird, it was supposed to be at the auction...? "Yes, it WAS at the auction, but we just got here because we found a small leak in the radiator, and we are replacing it now for you - you can go see it if you want." I AM SO GLAD I LOOKED AT IT.............. HALF OF THE ENGINE WAS OUT (I have pictures) The intake manifold was off the engine, there was dried coolant all over the block and in the intake port itself. This means there was a gasket leak, and it probably overheated. Not only that, the mechanic didn't even have the car on proper jack stands or a lift; the front wheels were off, and the car was sitting on its base suspension on the ground!!! What probably happened was, they KNEW a mechanic would call this out, so they tried buying time to quickly fix it/patch it up so I (or some other sucker) would buy it, not knowing about the ticking time bomb under the hood. As someone who has worked on engines before, I know that whole process takes time, removing the sensors, bolts, manifold, etc. So the car was NEVER at the auction, and they were caught in a lie! After all this, Mateen, knowing I had just caught on to their ruse, has the gall to ask, "So would you like to come back and test-drive tomorrow?" Needless to say, Mateen, I would not... Avoid Vision Motor and avoid Mateen. I rarely write reviews, but my experience here was so unprofessional and misleading that I feel obligated to warn others. I was in the process of selling my Tesla Model X when Mateen from Vision Motor reached out. From the very beginning, the communication was confused, inconsistent, and frankly concerning. First red flag: Mateen initially messaged me as if he was trying to sell me the exact same Tesla Model X--same year, same mileage--that I was selling, listed for around $25k out the door. He asked if I wanted to come test-drive it, which is when I had to clarify that I'm the seller, not the buyer. Once that confusion was cleared, I asked what they would offer. His response? $15,000. Meanwhile, they're advertising the same vehicle for ~$25k. That's not a reasonable margin--that's a blatant lowball and completely predatory. Second red flag: Weeks later, while I was on vacation, Mateen reached back out claiming they were now "interested at my asking price of $23.5k-$24k." At that point I agreed to bring the car in for inspection once I returned. A few hours later, Mateen suddenly changed the story again--telling me the offer was back to $15k, and that he'd "have to talk to his boss" for anything higher. At this point the behavior was so inconsistent I called the dealership. I spoke with Mariam, who somehow managed to be even more confusing. She contradicted Mateen, then told me the dealership was not interested at all--the complete opposite of what he had just said. Between Mateen and Mariam, the dealership showed: * Zero professionalism * Contradicting information every time they texted * Bait-and-switch-style behavior * Unreliable and inconsistent offers * Lack of basic understanding or internal communication * Pressure tactics and lowballing that border on predatory I have screenshots of the full conversation showing Mateen changing numbers repeatedly, denying obvious mistakes, and backtracking after getting caught. Bottom line: Vision Motor feels like a stereotypical shady used-car operation--confused, non-committal, and willing to say anything to get you in the door. If this is how they treat someone selling a car, I can't imagine how bad the experience would be for a buyer. Save your time and avoid this place. There are plenty of reputable dealerships in Orange County--Vision Motor is not one of them. read more

Do not sell your vehicle to this place. They won the auction from Bidbus and will look to lower your offer by several thousand knowing you drove far to get there. My beloved 2007 Mercedes E350 (still looks great) with 189,000 miles recently started giving me never ending messages that it "needed things" (e.g. check engine light, fill oil every ten minutes, you need brakes, you need a new tire). Seeing how the car is not worth very much anymore (but I still wanted to keep it as a spare car), I finally came to terms with the fact that I needed to buy a new "used" car again. (It had literally been 23 years since I bought a used car from a dealer and I'm not going to lie, I wasn't too excited to revisit that process again.) After a few months of slow pondering I made a solid decision and decided on the exact car I wanted (Tesla S, black on black). I didn't know much about electric cars other than my boss has two Teslas, my three friends and neighbor do - and they all LOVE THEM. I love my Mercedes and was considering another E350 until it finally hit me like a ton of bricks one day - I do not want to pay for any more mechanical repairs. I'm fulfilled in that area. Yep, done; I'm good to go. I did a little bit of research on the internet each week to learn how all things related to buy a used and also electric car these days went (yes, na sayers, CHATGPT is our friend - especially when you want/need an answer to a pressing question now). For example, with regards to the popular topic "Be sure and take the used car to a reputable mechanic to check the car out before you buy." In this case it was "make sure you have Tesla check the battery (life) before you buy the car." This is what I found out: "Ain't Tesla gonna check no battery on no Tesla that is brought in by someone other than the registered owner." Boom. Good to know, and kinda nice to cross it off the list. Things are different now because there is so much transparency on-line (CarFax, Experian Used Car Reports, even cars.com, etc. tell you if something is an excellent price, good price, fair price, etc.) Makes it a whole lot easier to truly know the car's past. Years ago we only had Edmunds and the ever present lies from most used car dealers to count on/deal with. I found several black 2018 Tesla S's and 2 - 2019 Tesla S's that I considered when it was time to buy. I purchased the 2019 Tesla S D100 with 67k miles from Vision because at the end of the day, their car was a much better deal than the others in comparison. The price was lower, the car was 1 year newer, and it was a 100D and not a 75D like the others, the mileage was great, the interior and exterior of the car was excellent, and the Carmax and Experian Reports came back with very high marks. Asad, Mariam, and Amna were all very pleasant to work with. I went there on a Sunday when they were closed to see the car I wanted first. They have A LOT of cars there (all beautiful) and I asked when I went back the next Friday why there are only 16 listed on their website. I was told that they do a lot of wholesale business and that's what many of the cars were. I will reiterate - all of their cars were in outstanding condition. It's a bit dusty at their lot, but the cars still looked good (no way to wash them every day to keep up with the dust). I did visit two other places during this time. The experiences were okay. But, I'm not very good at sitting around and waiting for help. I'm also not a big fan of driving 1.5 hours out to Norco when I have an appointment only to find out the car I was interested in sold 3 days prior. Back to Vision. The Team there is very polite and also, surprisingly quiet (no used car salesman experience AT ALL). It wasn't until Asad and Amna conducted the sale (my third visit), where I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy the purchase was. Amna had prepared all of the paperwork and Asad went over each page of the paperwork. I am a legal secretary so documents are kind of my thing. I can read them very quickly. There was one document where I could purchase I believe it was a 3-day cancellation policy for a fair amount. I declined and was given absolutely no push back at all (shocking actually). I was surprised that they included the Car Max report and several other things I can't remember. Just a ton of information. Enough said, I see that they have many excellent reviews about buying used cars from people. That didn't apply to me so I can't weigh in on that. To wrap it up, I would say if you see a car listed on their website and you're really interested, I don't think you will be disappointed with the experience with this dealership. Just know if it's a hot car (like mine was), move fast because it won't be around long. Oh yes, Amna was a wiz at setting me up with the Tesla App on my phone (a requirement to charge at all stations). A few days later my car fell off my App. ChatGPT was exceptional at giving me the steps to get my car back on the App lighting fast, but at the end, I needed to go back to have Amna re-register my car purchase with Tesla to get me back on the App. read more

The dealership is a scam. It's a shady operation in a shady neighborhood.. they backed out of a deal to buy the car and claimed there was sledge in the engine oil. It's a luxury SUV with only 30,000 miles which is on its normal oil change schedule. They then tried to renegotiate the pricel and opt out. Turns out it was simply dirt under the cap, and the oil and engine was 100% fine. Stay away. read more

Do everything you can to avoid Vision Hankook Motors and their manager Amna Ismail. My experience with Vision Hankook Motors and their manager Amna Ismail was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I feel compelled to share this to warn others about the deception I encountered. I went to Vision Hankook Motors to sell my vehicle and we initially agreed on a value. However, one of their workers inspected my vehicle and claimed that oil change residue under the vehicle indicated a serious problem. They then reduced the agreed value by nearly 20%. I knew the problem was just a loose temperature sensor that I could easily fix, so I declined the deal. However, the manager Amna Ismail wanted to make the deal that same day and made a promise (with text messages to prove it) that if their inspection confirmed there was no oil leak, they would refund part of the value. I believed her promise and handed over the vehicle to them. Despite telling them that I could fix the problem that evening, Amna insisted on completing the sale that day. This should have been a red flag, but I took her at her word. The following week after handing over my vehicle, I did not hear from her. I texted and called Amna and they either ignored me or gave me vague responses like the vehicle inspection was not completed. She said she would send me a bill but it has been over a month and I have received nothing. The dishonesty and lack of follow-up from Vision Hankook Motors is unacceptable. I strongly recommend not doing business with them. Their practices are deceptive and their customer service is non-existent. I've been searching for my vehicle and it's been a difficult journey up until we met Jay Bautista (JB) at Vision Hankook Motors. He's the most chill and fair salesman I've ever met. The other reviews here can be scary and I had my doubts, but JB really made this purchase easy with little hassle. Some things appreciative about JB: * He doesn't throw random numbers at you and give you an overestimated payment / price. We've had salesman who would "add up" all the "packages" and fees, making it double of what it should've been * JB isn't pushy and make you feel like he's trying to manipulate you or trick you. He took our feedback of the vehicle to consideration. Previous experiences had salesman say "oh we'll fix that before you leave". Don't fall for that, and you won't get that with JB * There were no hidden fees or last minute add-ons. We were going to see 4 other dealerships but liked the car we drove and were able to get it to an agreeable price. No need to be surprised about an extra $4000 because of tint, installed security system, some other BS package. While we were sorting things out, I can hear other customers get frustrated, so I can't say the dealership is perfect. We happened to get lucky with JB and not deal with any more salesmen after finding a very nice vehicle for a fair price. If I could give zero stars I would. I sold my truck to this dealership. I got them the 10 day pay loan amount they requested from me. One month passes and I realize the loan was never paid off. My loan company deducted my monthly loan amount for a vehicle I didn't have. So I called vision motors and they said the check " got lost" in the mail. When the new payoff amount changed they are saying that they should not reimburse me what is owed. Also I have been told they'd call me back several times and not once did I get a call back. Then when I tell them this they make it seem like I'm in the wrong for wanting the call back. This is a hack dealership. I had a horrible post sale experience with purchasing a vehicle from these guys. When driving my car off the lot, there was literally no gas in the tank. I had noticed the car was empty during my test drive a couple days prior, and assumed they would top it up a little bit, but it was bone dry. A few weeks pass and my registration and pink slip come in the mail, but no plates. I could tell by the pink slip the plates were issued, so I reached out to my sales rep JB. He ignored my calls and texts. It was only until I went onsite to the dealership that they made up some excuse that they didn't have the plates and that they got lost in the mail. They were supposed to handle registration services on my behalf but completely denied ownership of needing to pay for the replacement plates when they clearly lost the plates themselves. If it weren't up to me following up, I would've never gotten my license plates! read more

I wouldn't suggest anyone buy from here. Back in 2018 I bought a vehicle from them. They had a few red flags but always had an excuse. First, they showed me a carfax that was excluding information. When I reached out to my insurance they said it was previously totaled but the dealership denied and said my insurance was incorrect. Then when i started it up to finally take it home, the drivers side headlight was out(in fact it went out multiple times so far). The reverse camera on screen graphics were glitched since day one, along with the steering always slightly turning right. One day i found the previous owner's paper checks behind the glove compartment which leads me to believe they don't put much work into these cars besides what the customer will see. Just to get it off the lot. Then within 6 months of getting it, my catalytic converter went and needed to be replaced. Very very expensive fixes with this vehicle and always constantly having to fix it. Avoid them at all costs. read more
