I've been going to Auto Clinic Care for several years in a row. The first time I went there was because my old shop gave me an absurd estimate for a very simple fix, I knew I needed to switch shops right away; I did some research and decided to give Auto clinic Care a chance. I never looked back. One of my favorite things is that when I drop off my car for inspection, they send me links to my phone with the results of the inspection, including photos and sometimes videos, with their recommendations and anything I should be paying close atention to. These guys are very honest, there's been times I've brought my car in thinking I would have to make severe, expensive upgrades to my car, and they have put my mind at ease saying these things are not out of shape and didn't really need work. I always find that their services are good for my wallet too. I have never left their place feeling I've been ripped off. I have moved a ways away but I still travel to Auto Clinic Care for any service to my car. I have other options at my new location, but I don't think I can trust anyone like I trust them. I just moved here from Pa and so I went to Auto Clinic for an inspection so that I could get my car registered for Md. They inspected my car just for them to fail me ONLY for the tint on my car. I didn't have any mechanical or other issues , just the tint! I was unaware of Md law as far as tint. An honest business would have said hey for the tint on your car alone you're not going to pass! I sat in their establishment for two hours for something they could have told me upon arrival. I then recieved an email for the results of my car, and No one came to check me out or explain anything. If I didn't go check to see what was going on I would have been sitting there longer to be checked out . Lack of customer care and greed sure showed itself here! read more

I'm very belated in writing this review, but I can say with absolute certainty there is no other place in this area or this state I would go to for my auto repair needs. The team there is completely focused on customer service, they are always completely honest and upfront with you about the issues with your car and the various repair options available, and, most importantly, they are incredibly patient. I am not someone who would be described as car savvy, so it takes some time for me to understand what is going on with my vehicle. This shop is thorough, honest and an example for all other garages out there. They're as good as it gets. We had a near disaster on the way home from vacation. My regular mechanic made a big mistake by forgetting to torque the lug nuts on my two rear tires. And our tire became very loose on I-95. Not good. We called Auto Care Clinic and they said they could fit us in right away. They did and found the offending lug nuts. Fixed that and then checked the entire vehicle out. They spent more than 30 minutes checking out the car and engine fluids before test driving it. They had us on the road again in less than an hour. The bill? Zero. I even tried giving the head mechanic money and he declined. He told me I could tip the mechanic who did the work. And that guy I had to strong arm to get him to take a lousy $30. You would think being on the road with a family of five and not a regular customer would peg you as a guy who would pay about anything to get rolling again. Because I would have. But this shop is too honest to take advantage of that. I can only imagine how great they treat their regular customers. If I lived in this area, I would trust no one else for my repairs because these people are good, thorough and all-around the nicest people you're going to meet. An easy Five Stars. I brought my car here for the first time when I noticed a strange rubber smell on my way home from work. Even though I didn't have an appointment, they did the diagnostic check immediately and got back to me very quickly. When I decided to sell the cat, they were very understanding and accommodating in letting me leave the car there for two days until I got everything in order to sell it. I spoke mostly with Joshua, who was so helpful and polite. Great customer service. Here's what they charged compared to the RepairPal estimate for my Honda Civic: Parts for thermostat and gasket replacement: $72 (vs $50-$60) Coolant and Antifreeze: $92.26 (not mentioned on RepairPal) Labor: $234 (vs $92-$116) Diagnostic Fee: $129.99 (not mentioned on RepairPal, and we already had the code read by Jiffy Lube) Shop/Enviro Fee: $52.86 (not mentioned on RepairPal) Total price before tax: $581.46 (vs $142-$176) Perhaps RepairPal is not a good estimate for the DMV area, I'm not sure. But I'm guessing Auto Clinic Care is on the higher side, and with the $129.99 diagnostic fee you're somewhat locked into the job by the time you learn their prices. But from their other positive Yelp reviews, it sounds like their prices may be fair for the quality and service you get and the two-year warranty on their repairs. read more

Warning warning the owner here is a liar ! Stay far far away from this place . The front desk lady and the dogs on site are the only positives about this place . I came because I'm having issue w engine and maybe transmission . Check engine light was on . The owner said I had 22 issue that came up after diagnostics . He wanted 2550 to clear all these faults that came up ... we ended up agreeing to 2400. Next day he then says he needs another 7500 to resolve the rest of the issues but he is not 100 percent sure if that will fix everything . So I tell him no don't do anything else I'm coming to get my car . I'm thinking I'm going to pay 2400 and get the 22 issue fixed . When I arrived and reviewed the bill I find out he did only 2 things... he did a oil change and he replaced 4 cam shaft sensors for 2000k!!!! I end up bringing my car to another shop and show them the work order and he sa d why did they replace cam shaft sensors ? The timing belt needs to be replaced ! Once again stay away from this place and the owner is a liar and not a honest person ! read more

I took my car here a month ago and they told me not only did it not pass MD state inspection, but it needed $1,400 worth of repairs that they would gladly do. Feeling this was incorrect since my car is not that old and in great condition...I took it else where. As suspected, it passed just fine with ZERO work needing to be done. ZERO. How is this not illegal? I would rather have my car burn to the ground than take it to these crooks again. It's not often that a business in today's environment receives a five-star recognition from me, but this entity deserves five stars and more. I came into their shop with a car in bad shape barely driveable. My car had problems from top to bottom and I knew it. I had postponed the inevitable repairs because I've gotten burnt so many times prior that I just didn't want to go through the agony again. However, my car had didn't ideas and decided it would not participate in functioning without the necessary repairs. I lucked up when I came across Auto Clinic. Not only are they honest, they are quite skilled in their profession. They are professional but not uptight and they were non-judgmental about the state of repairs my car needed. This was a major factor for their five stars. Needless to say, I now have a very reliable, quiet (had a new muffler put on), easy to turn (rack and pinion was replaced) (steering fluid hose leakage was replaced), brakes that actually stop without grinding (brakes were replaced), a much softer ride (four new tires aligned and balanced) and much, much more. I owe Auto Clinic more than an outstanding review. Not only am I in a safer car but the vehicles surrounding me are much safer as well. I stumbled across Auto Clinic Care after rushing around and trying to find an auto shop that did MD state inspections and could take me in the same day, and I'm very glad I did. Even though the staff managed to squeeze me in later in the day, my inspection and necessary repairs were completed without too much of a dent in my wallet and in time to get me home without being stuck in rush hour traffic, which I most definitely appreciate. If you want your car to pass inspection do not go here! Go to Inspection Plus in Gaithersburg! My car failed inspection because of an oil leak, which is not a criteria for failure. I took it to Fausto at Inspection Plus and he took the time to help me contact the state trooper and have the inspection overturned so that I could pass. I only wish that I had gone to Inspection Plus the first time! I would have saved ALOT of time and energy and they can even issue new plates and stickers right in the office! I got my 2004 Toyota Highlander inspected here. It had just passed NJ inspection in August. I called and brought my car in the same day - which was great. I was able to drop my car off during my lunch break and pick it up after work, which was very convenient. I passed my inspection after replacing 2 burnt out light bulbs (the labor was $20, even though it takes about 60 seconds to change a bulb, but all mechanics gouge on these types of things. I wish my job enabled me to make $20 in one minute lol.) All in all, I had a good experience. The mechanic even came out to loosen my license plate screws at my request. The best part of the experience was speaking with the woman at the front desk. She was very helpful, and it didn't feel like she was trying to bs me or sell me anything. I asked her tons of questions about Maryland inspection, registration, and about potentially continuing my business there with my new car. She was very open and informative in response to all my questions. In my opinion, this place should give that receptionist a raise, because she was the best part of the whole experience. read more

I recently moved to Maryland from DC, so I needed to get a Maryland vehicle safety inspection in order to register my car in Maryland. I did some looking around on Yelp ant noticed that many mechanics are now offering quotes online through Yelp. How convenient! I requested quotes from many mechanics in the Rockville/N. Bethesda area. Johny, the owner of Auto Clinic Care, responded saying they were currently having a special. Theirs was the best price I found and they got great Yelp ratings. I also noticed that they were offering a Yelp deal $50 for $75 worth of work, so I asked if I could use that for the inspection. Johny said yes, so I bought it and communicated with him via Yelp to schedule an appointment. He was professional and courteous in all of his messages with me, and happily accommodated my schedule. I brought the car in today, expecting it to take 3 hours or so, as that's how long other mechanics who responded to me said they would need. The inspection was finished in an hour and a half! Then when I went back to pick up the car at the end of the day, the price was even lower than he had originally quoted me!! What a nice surprise! I'm very happy with the service I got today and these past few days communicating with the shop. I work really nearby, so it's great to know that an honest and competent mechanic is just down the street for my future auto care needs. Went in for a MD state safety inspection for a vehicle I recently purchased out of state. I called a few shops in the area, but Auto Clinic Care offered the best rate by far so I set up an appointment online and got a nice discount for using their online appointment scheduling tool. Service was great and I passed the inspection. Only negative aspect was the wait - I was given an estimate it'd take 2-3 hours (other shops quoted me 1 - 1.5 hours). That being said, the 2-3 hour estimate was accurate, and I received an email notification that my inspection results were being forwarded to the MVA at exactly 3 hours on the dot. I am very disappointed by this place. I came because my AC was not working properly. They performed a diagnostic and replaced the most expensive part. A week later the AC was still not working. They did not stand behind their diagnostic and they charged me to fix a fan. $1500 and my AC is still not working! read more

Just so Impressed with the friendliness of the staff! Seems as though these guys are Invested for the long haul. Every time I am there I feel like part of the family. The owner is always present every time im there and he always makes sure to say hello and go over any questions I may have... which is generally alot. Its so nice to see honesty in a business that has a negative connotation to it. Clearly anyone leaving negative comments has the wrong place,- since there are several auto clinics in the area. Also last but not least, they have the most affordable prices i have seen in the expensive Montgomery County area.
