My car had a smashed up lift gate and window that needed work. I brought the car to M&V because it's a State Farm approved auto body, and I couldn't be happier. Tom is a great guy, super friendly and knowledgeable and was completely up front and honest with us about his whole process. He also squeezed us in to his tight schedule before the holidays to help accommodate our schedule, which, no other shops would do. Our car looked amazing when the work was finished. --------CONSIDER THIS YOUR WARNING----- My wife got T-boned into a snow bank where the car lifted off the ground and then slammed back down...It would of rolled if it wasn't for the snow bank...Both passenger side doors, front fender, passenger wheels, tires...essentially everything was thrashed on one side ..Wheel was bent out ripping off tie rods, messing up rack & pinion; axel bushing, steering wheel completely off. We took our car to this place because it was close to the crash site. (Allstate didn't approve using this place - now we know why) we thought we'd get just a quote to start this process....dropped it off and waited and week. Didn't hear anything. Finally called and the shady shop owner goes "oh yeah Allstate will repair it; we're ordering parts now"..I told him no one authorized repairs we just wanted a quote as you promised when we dropped the car off..he replies with "when you drop a car off here you automatically agree to get the car repaired no matter what the cost is unless it's totaled. So basically taking your car here leaves you obligated to pay whatever prices they make up. My concussed wife who has no memory of that day let alone signing paper work after we both requested WE WANTED A QUOTE ONLY and was assured by the owner this is what he'll do. I called my insurance company and they said M&V told them we signed paperwork upon dropping it off. This shop took advantage of us; more so my concussed wife from the crash. Called M&V back and asked about the tires and breaks since they were not working due to the crash; he said the tires were fine even though they had bubbles from the slamming impact; the breaks didn't rip off due to the crash, they were like that. He claimed the accident couldn't have caused this. We had gone to a VW dealership a week before the crash to get new tires and it passed a break test. He completely lied so this wouldn't cut into his margins of the allotted $ amount Allstate approved of if the car was not totaled. I told him I had the paperwork and he said he didn't care; it's whatever he thinks he should report to allstate as a cause of the crash. Liars. He knew if he totaled the car he wouldn't be getting any business. So after this whole thing we wanted to take it elsewhere...When I told him that he said that we had to pay a $400 restocking fee to cancel his orders for the parts we did not authorize. After a screaming match in his cat infested office; my insurance agent finally said if we have medical documentation that my wife was concussed while signing the paperwork it's going to get nullified in front of a judge. We did. So I finally offered the $400 so he could stop holding our car captive. When I took out my Visa credit card he said "NO CASH ONLY." Even though there are mastercard and visa signs all over the front desk reading "we gladly accept credit card". He claimed that we would put a stop payment on the card and to go to a local ATM to get cash to pay. What a Scum bag move. So to get the heck out of there and to get our car out of his shop I had to go to an ATM and pay him $400 cash. Finally got the car and when he was totaling up the "restocking fee" bill. I saw on his computer that all the vendors were junk yards ALL OF THEM. The fact that Allstate was told the damage to the car is $5500 and all his parts were from a junk yard goes to show how much this guy wanted to pocket and how far he went to not total the car. At this point I realized that $400 is way cheaper than getting my car repair at M&V in the long run. This is the type of body shop that takes advantage of people and scams them by installing unapproved, untested junkyard parts on any car. As I said...If you go here please let this review carry some weight. You've been warned. Allstate even eluded that this is one of those shops that shouldn't be in business. read more

M & V Auto Body turned what could have been a terrible experience into something surprisingly pleasant. My husband had gotten in an accident that damaged our front bumper pretty severely. The staff at the first auto body shop that he stopped at (A and A Auto Body) were extremely rude and quoted him at an absurd price. He came to M & V just to get a quote on what it would cost to repair and repaint the bumper. After being quoted a very fair price, he was so pleased with the friendly and accommodating service from Tom that he decided to leave the car there to get fixed. Tom was wonderfully friendly, yet very professional. He worked with my husband to come up with the best solution for the car and worked to keep costs low for us (almost unheard of in the automotive business)! He promised to have the car back to us within a couple of days and was true to his word. During their conversation, my husband had mentioned that I am 8 months pregnant with twins. On the day that our car was ready, Tom called my husband and asked if he would need a ride bringing the car home. He had remembered that I was very pregnant, and wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have to drive if I wasn't up for it. This was definitely above and beyond the call of duty, and we were both incredibly impressed with his thoughtfulness. When we came to pick up the car, I was amazed. It looked brand new! I couldn't even see where the accident had happened. We were so pleased with the outcome of the car that we were happy to pay what he'd originally quoted us.The best part of our experience was he replaced and painted our fender for free! This must have been a $200 part - he called it a present for our having twins. What a blessing! We are so grateful for Tom and his exemplary service. A routine dent-repair service resulted in the destruction of my car interior and complete malfunction of my car's satellite radio. M&V's services to my vehicle resulted in nearly $1000 worth of damages, and being without my vehicle for 8 days while my vehicle was repaired/restored by an alternate qualified repair shop. M&V damages vehicles without notifying the customer of the damages. M&V lies to prevent paying for damages proven to be caused by their work. M&V lies to insurance companies to protect their reputation. M&V encourages customers to commit warranty freud. M&V does not respond to letters or communications regarding receiving compensation for repairs due to their negligence. Please, avoid this shop. Avoid their dishonesty. M&V Auto Body was a reputable body shop in the past. The new owners/management do not live up the the standards of the previous management. Do not let the name fool you, new M&V is not equal to old M&V Auto Body. In the past, M&V Auto Body performed quality work, not necessarily the cheapest shop, but they were trustworthy and reliable. The new M&V Auto Body management does not live up to the old standards. Their work is of questionable quality and their workmanship is poor. They will not return your vehicle in clean condition. My rear bumper was painted. The paint quality was not up to OEM standards. The vehicle was also really dirty when they gave it back to me. Come on, you can't put some paper on the floor mats? Once M&V Auto Body had my money, they were not keen on providing continued support or service. They want you in and out. A shame and disappointing, the old management was not like that. read more

The experience with this shop left me wondering how the insurance company could possibly recommend such a place. To make long story short.. M&V is the place to go if you value expert craftsmanship and superior customer service. I spoke with Tom once and that was the end of it. Before I knew differently, the car was fixed and ready to be picked up. Tom exceeded my expectations and left me more grateful than I could ever imagine. I received rear end damage to my 2015 Honda Odyssey and had my bodywork completed here. I usually loathe dealing with anyone in the auto trades as I often find them condescending (and I say this with my father having been in the auto trades). However, that was not the case here. I felt Tom was very thorough in his initial assessment and upon completion of the work and addressed all my concerns. I did not feel as though I was being "talked down to" and he was very courteous. The damage was repaired to my satisfaction and the vehicle restore to it's prior state. They are a State Farm preferred location. When I decided to drop the claim from my State Farm policy and have the claim changed to the other party, it was not a problem. read more

The service here is absolutely wonderful. Post-accident, my car was taken to a different auto body shop where they told me it would be six weeks before they could start on my car. Then I had it towed to M&V, and the work was done in less than two weeks!! They were courteous, prompt, and very responsive to my needs. The car turned out beautiful, and they went above and beyond in buffing out a key mark and putting a new battery in my key. I recommend this auto body shop to everyone! Tom & the staff at M & V are wonderful. I was in a fairly bad accident on 7/18/14. SUV turned left in front of me. My 2001 Saturn was not drivable. Thankfully I have State Farm & go to the shop of my choice. M & V has performed miracles for others in repairing their cars & did the same for me. Tom had parts ordered ASAP & my car was done 2 days before he had estimated it would be. Drives better now than it did when I bought it. I will recommend him to everyone I know. Worked with the wonderful owner of this auto body shop and his very helpful son after I had a car accident. Got an immediate estimate as I waited, it maybe took 10 minutes including booking the date they would repair my car. Since the work would take a few days, I needed a rental car too. Luckily they can provide rental cars at reasonable rates and offered early pickup @ 6:30am. Pick up took 5 minutes. They billed my insurance directly for everything. Very honest and friendly people. Rental car was clean and new. My van was repaired exactly when they promised and looked great afterwards, including a car wash and vacuum. No hidden surprises just a good, family run business. read more
