Finally! A dealer figured out how to sell vehicles in a professional way. I looked for a new f150 for a long time, (like my wife makes fun of me -kind-of-long). I wanted to purchase locally so I searched every local dealer, talked to salesman after salesman and could not find a vehicle I felt comfortable with purchasing. One thing kept interrupting the deal I would find, I was comparing local prices with AutoExpress. I tried to give my local guys every chance, but salesman would look at a vehicle I would show them on my phone and see the price and say, we can't come close. So, I decided to take a 2 1/2 hour drive to check out AutoExpress. I thought it would have to be some bait and switch plot with the advertised prices I was for. I was mistaken! When I arrived in Lafayette Indiana (a nice little town btw), we pulled on the lot and started walking around to find a huge inventory. Strange enough, all the doors were open and the keys sitting inside so we could start em up. Funny thing, we still had no salesman (ya know the hovering vultures waiting for their prey)...lol. We had to go inside and request a salesman. So to wrap up this long review, we found a salesman (a great guy named Mike) took a f150 for a spin then went over numbers. Im still waiting for the backdoor fees to hit. But, again I was wrong. There are no fees other than like 150 bucks and TTL. Boom. Try to find that somewhere else! So, seeing that there were no gotcha's, I'm the proud owner of a 2017 f150. Oh, and they don't haggle on price. You don't have to do that because the vehicles here are typically thousands less than other dealers. I highly recommend AutoExpress cars! Even if it's a half day drive, it's probably worth it! UPDATE: So I found out that my truck has had some body work done. I'm knocking off 1 Star for this. Yes, I could probably knock off more but I also understand that "dealers can't know everything about a vehicle they purchase at an auction." With that said... I'm updating this review because I feel like they "should" have been able to detect that the door had been repainted. (There is a run in the paint under the door handle...which I unfortunately didn't notice on my inspection before purchase, but quality professionals in the industry should easily spot). I also found overspray on a plastic trim piece that didn't get taped off properly... So it's obvious this wasn't a run in paint from the factory. Hope this helps Yelpers! read more

Beware of this car dealership. The car quality was good and the sales process was fast, but this dealership puts winter tires on their inventory. Do your own research to make sure you are comfortable with winter tires, I found out too late that they are not good for everyday usage that's not winter conditions. This dealership told me that winter tires were no different than regular tires and it was only after I had left and went to another car dealership for a service inspection that I found out the truth about the danger these tires present when not used in winter conditions. When I voiced my displeasure with the situation the only solution presented was for me to have to come back to the dealership and they would pay for half of the transfer to standard tires with the work being done at their shop, meaning more money in their pocket. The best solution would have been for them to request proof of my receipt for the tires I bought and compensate me in full for them. If you choose to use this dealership just be aware of the tires they put on the vehicles you look at. read more

I recently took my 2019 ram into for service/check engine light. Was given a quote for roughly $800 for a new part. Truck was at their service shop for 2 weeks. Went to pick up the truck and as I started the truck and was going to leave I noticed the check engine light was still on. After asking about the issue with the tech and service manager I was told I needed to take it to a local dealer to get the part programmed and the next available appointment was a week out. Plus an additional $175 fee to get the part I already paid for programmed so my truck could see it was fixed. This should've been discussed prior to repair. Now I get to pay more money to someone else. After 3 car purchases here, they will not receive any more business from me. read more

Picked a car online, made a deposit, worked out a Saturday test drive/pick up with the dealer. Only caveat- I was coming from 4 hours away. Dealer knew that. Arrived to find that the car I chose didn't have pictures on the trunks interior ceiling that had gouges scratched across it. Multiple gouges. And stains. In the ceiling. Brought it up to Vinny who casually brushed it off, said he had no idea, and offered us a $300 discount. Asked if we could get a thousand dollar discount on another, more expensive car, to which he laughed and said no. We left. Along with another couple who were griping about the condition of the car they saw online. My advice? If you live local, check them out. Farther out? Look by you. Day wasted. read more

About 6 months ago we bought what to be a near pristine low mileage 2014 Chevy Silverado from Auto Express. Initially VERY happy with it but then I started noticing paint bubbling on the rocker panels of driver and passenger doors. The paint was completely clean and new/fresh so this wasn't noticeable at purchase. Hoping it would be surface rust and a quick repair, NOPE. Both rocker panels are rusting with parts of each barely there and crumbling under three new rock chip protection paint (thick, rubbery paint on the bottom of the rockers to prevent rock chips and RUST. It's going to cost us upwards of $3000 for the repair. BEWARE OF AUTO EXPRESS CARS. They do apparently hide problems so you can discover them later when you are stuck. One body shop asked me if I really thought it was worth it to repair. I told him the truck is new to us and I'd just had the full underbody Zeibarted. No way we can just let the truck rot out from under us after $28k spent to buy it. read more

If you're tired of getting ripped off at dealerships and their slimy sales tactics, shop here for something different. Prices are clearly marked on the windshield, and the price makes sense based on the vehicle, model year, miles, etc... The fun part - all vehicles on lot are unlocked and customers are free to explore without a hovering sales person. We shopped on an extremely busy Saturday. To speed up the process, go in with your credit unlocked and at least one pre-approved loan. Most of our wait time was due to us having to unlock our credit (on our phones, what a pain - lesson learned) and waiting on loan approval. The sales team will offer gap insurance and extended warranty during the paperwork. Take it or leave it, it's up to you. A lot of the cars are from rental or corporate fleets, wholesale purchases, or private trades. There is a smaller private dealer in town that specializes in the high end used market. Auto Express goes a half-step below that and adds volume. We were looking at 2016 new minivan around $30k at dealerships. We found a 2015 model same van with mileage for $18,500. The BEST car buying experience I have ever had. Having just moved here from California, and having to experience the car salesman type environment, which is never fun, this hands down IS THE BEST place to buy a car. The guys here are pros, and make you feel like they are happy to have you rather than try to shove you in a car. The salesmen do NOT make commission on their sales. This is a similar model like CarMax except 1000x better and much more satisfying. Why? Because this is a locally owned business. I got a 4.59% APR and four options for payment which were - Monthly Payment on Loan, factory warranty - Monthly Payment on Loan, their warranty added - Monthly Payment on Loan, plus GAP - Monthly Payment on Loan, plus GAP plus their warranty. It was about a $20-60 difference between the four. NOTE THOUGH: My TransUnion credit score was 710. I do, however, have a pretty large amount of debt. I mean large. Like student loan sized large without it actually being student loans. I chose Monthly Payment + GAP. My payments are $252 per month! Look. I went in Sunday evening to look at some vehicles, not really know what I wanted. By the time I left, I had my heart set on a Chevy Traverse. Monday evening I went in and Brian helped me get in a few cars so I could test drive and compare. I had already looked through their inventory and had a list of vehicles I was potentially interested in. I loved that it wasn't a stressful evening. I got a plate and got to drive whatever I wanted, without and sales pitches or hassle. I decided on the Traverse and Brian handed me over to James, since he wouldn't be in Tuesday and it was just about closing time. James let me put $100 down and placed a hold on the vehicle for 24 hours. I got a quote from PEFCU for a loan and when I got back Tuesday, James was able to get an even better quote from another lender (which wasn't easy easy), went through all of the warranties and paperwork, hooked me up with some new tires, and sent me off in my new, BEAUTIFUL SUV. I would not buy from them again if I could not see the vehicle in person. I was an out of state buyer and did not drive the truck before buying. I asked the sales person to test drive the truck for me and I was told that he did and the truck was in very good condition. I asked him specifically if the transmission had any issues while driving like jerking, slipping, or hard shifting and he said that there are no problems with the transmission. My truck was delivered (over 600 miles away) and within 30 seconds of me driving the truck I noticed transmission problems (slipping, jerking, hard shifting). They must have noticed this when they had the truck, its noticeable right away. The sales person told me to take it to the GMC dealership and get it checked out. GMC thinks it's the transmission oil which is backordered and I have been driving my truck now with an awful transmission for over a month and no one really knows when the oil will be in stock. And who knows if the oil will fix the issues. Texted the sales person that I had been texting throughout the whole buying process and never got an response back. I guess they made their sale. Would not recommend buying from them if you can't test drive the vehicle. read more

My 19 year old saved up, worked hard for Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Looked for 2 months. He Found one here at Auto Express, a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Navy Blue. We did our homework, spoke to 2 managers up there, got a video, read the car fax, he got financing. He put his deposit down and I drove him up there 4 hours away. Jeep was not ready, they said engine light was on, by the way we made appointment with them, they even told us to ask for Alonzo since he worked on Saturdays. Alonzo said they did not tell me you were coming today, I said well we spoke to Mike the manager and told him. I even have text messages telling him thank you, we will be there Saturday....My son who works hard and has perfect credit has sunk his savings account into this Jeep. They LIED!!! Every week it is in the shop. Injector O-rings, coolant leak, crank shaft sensor, fuel cap, emissions system all screwed up. Long story short, $4,000.00 into repairs, and it is out of commission AGAIN! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! THIS PLACE SCREWS PEOPLE. They knew my 19 year old son had the financing to get this Jeep, and they STOLE his money. When somebody lies, they stole his money! He could have gotten any Jeep on their lot and they could have made more money, but they wanted this JEEP GONE! Now I call they BBB in Lafayette, IN. I also have retained an Attorney. No warranty or not, I will keep talking and I will let people know this Place does not care about people, no relationships. Not sure what has happened here. I have shopped here before and treated well. We waited 25 minutes to be helped after arriving. Several workers walking around letting us know someone would be available soon. ( not many customers around) my son found the truck he was looking for and wanted to test drive. After salesman finally helped us took another 20 minutes to begin test drive. When we got back ( they were supposed to appraise his trade) we sat for 40 minutes waiting for this salesman to help a customer who showed up while we were on test drive ( again several other associates around to help- we had to wait). Once we talked to the salesman he handed the keys back to my son and informed him they didnt want to appraise his trade. Not sure what was going on- we left. read more
