My husband had his windshield replaced by All Star at the referral of the Orange County Volvo dealer. His rearview mirror fell off twice in the past, and today we discovered it had fallen off again. The past two times we've had to wait while their technicians took their sweet time to come out and repair it. Today is a Saturday, and their corporate office is closed, so there is no opportunity to contact the owner, Bob Scharaga, to register a complaint. We contacted Wendy in the Irvine office, who, in my opinion, is a completely incompetent and indifferent. She could care less about customer service. All Wendy did was tell us that she had no technicians available to fix the problem, and we would have to call the corporate office on Monday to resolve it. All she did was make excuses and pass the buck. We left a message for the manager of the Irvine location because he wasn't man enough to take the call and talk to us. It's been 20 minutes, and he hasn't had the courtesy or professionalism to return our call. Now we're stuck being unable to drive the car over the weekend. This is totally unacceptable. I'm not holding my breath for the owner to contact us either. I think the glowing reviews on here are either fake or have been paid for. read more

The job was done with detail and precision and it took him only 45 minutes!. It came out great. The other company wanted to charge me separately for disposal, clean up and sealant. The price they quoted on the phone was the same as on their website (about $200) Luis, the installer, was professional and quick and was on time. Repair took about 45 minutes. Exceptional! I tend to go my own way rather than use the Insurance Co.'s "Preferred Provider" suggestion as I equate this status with low budget service to offer the discount. In this case it was AAA, and I was rushed into an initial contact with All Star centralized scheduling and was Definitely not impressed! Fast forward - made my own calls, received a few quotes and they were all over the board price-wise and scheduling - back to All Star. When I looked up the Irvine office, the first thing that got my attention was the name Juan, who was only referred to as professional, efficient, knowledgeable and thorough. Called back, scheduled an in-shop install insisting on Juan and Juan alone. Did get some push-back from scheduling, but decided to show up and if he was not there - just go elsewhere. The rest is history. Neyra, the super friendly front office girl, was not only expecting me but had it highlighted all over my work order that I wanted only Juan to do the install. Juan met (or exceeded) all reviews I had read, Neyra was an equal in office compliment to the service and the install was done flawlessly - even for ultra picky me! The price was competitive (on the lower end), the service was as good (better!) as any you would find at a boutique ultra pricey Newport Beach shop, and they were fast - the best of all worlds. i used all star glass for my front windsheild replacement i claimed thru my insurance. they came out to my workplace to install it and were done within 45 minutes. i paid my low deductible and that was it. the windsheild is holding up great. my wife is using them now for her car that needs a windshield replacement. i would recommend them and use them again. read more

Install was on an 06 xB. Big frickin windshield. I walked into the Irvine location for a quote while a Smog Check was being done next door (Super Smog). The office staff was very friendly and efficient in providing a quote. I finally got around to making the appointment (online). The price was quoted the same. I requested PPG glass (now PWG) as I have had good luck with that manufacturer in the past. They said no problem. Juan was my installer. He showed up on time within the 4 hour window I was quoted. He was very friendly, professional and efficient as all paperwork was in order. he took the time to explain that PPG is now PWG. Not needed, but obviously a nice touch and great customer service willing to educate. Everybody I have encountered has been courteous, professional and focussed on the customer. That is rare today. I would recommend them in an instant and have. All Star Glass are all stars in my book. read more

I found my car Friday morning with a smashed window, and called over 10 places trying to get it fixed ASAP and all told me I'd have to wait until Monday. I called All Star and they said they'd send someone first thing Saturday morning and they did. They came to me and fixed the window in under an hour and they cleaned and vacuumed up all the glass shards that were left from my old window. My car's windshield had a little star in it so I called them to come out to my house and fix it. Juan kept in touch with me about running late due to traffic and gave me the option to reschedule; it wasn't a problem for me but I appreciated the consideration. When he arrived he looked at it and asked me how long it had been there. After he found out it had been the same for about 9 years, he told me it might be better for me to wait as it probably wouldn't get any worse. All Star Glass Company definitely deserves more great reviews! Setting up an appointment was easy peasy. They do get booked quickly so call ahead if you want a weekend appointment. The receptionists were friendly and helpful! They verified that our insurance would cover the cost of the glass we wanted as well as calling me to let me know the order had been placed and to remind us of our appointment the day before. Juan did the actual replacement and he did a fantastic job! He went over molding design on the vehicle so I knew exactly what to expect upon completion. He was extra gentle with our car and finished the work in under an hour. He walked me out to show me the final product and gave me time to make sure everything was perfect. The glass looked impeccable with no damage to the vehicle (he even vacuumed the inside!). Spoke with Juan the manager, regarding a chip in the windshield that the rental car company was considering holding us responsible for. Even while knowing we were not going to do a repair, Juan spent a considerable amount of time looking at the windshield. He analyzed the amount of chips vs the year of the car and the miles driven. Verified it was virtually impossible to get that much damage on a 10 mile trip from the airport to the hotel. He was courteous, professional, and honest. read more

They replaced a cracked windshield in my F250 in February; there was no problem with leakage, but 3 months later I noticed a slight problem with the molding, which was not properly seated on the upper corner of the cab. I called on a Friday to see if they could send someone to look at it, but because of a full schedule none was available so I made an app't. to drive my fully loaded truck and camper to Irvine to get it checked Saturday of the next weekend, which I was reluctant to do. Meanwhile, the very courteous lady in the office suggested that I call Monday to see if someone had the time to come see it; lucky for me, Juan V. had some time at the end of the day. He took one look at the situation and immediately decided that the glass was not set correctly, and that he would be back the NEXT DAY (!) with a new one, and that it was fully covered by warranty. He and Joel cheerfully finished the job in about 45 minutes, taking extra care to see that it was done perfectly. As I see it, that's prime example of GREAT customer service! read more

The woman in the office called every day to update me on the delivery of the windshield and when it would be installed. I was so impressed with their customer service. Was quoted $310 on-line and when I received the call to setup the appointment they proceeded to tell me that I needed side molding for my Ford Flex -- at an additional $123/each, bringing the total to $610. Quickly declined and called a competitor who indicated these were not necessary and they could be re-used from my existing windshield. And if they were to charge me that they would be only $40 from the manufacturer. Nice try All Star Glass. read more

The only reason I gave it one star is because of the technician. I worked directly with the sales woman who came to job. I told her exactly what happened to my windshield and the quote I received from Safe Light to replace a dealer windshield. She said ahe could get me a much better rate because of the relationship with my work. After several emails, I never got a quote, but someone contacting me to make an appointment claiming I had Geico insurance. They again asked for my VIN number, even though I had already provided it to the sales person. Finally the sales person made an announcement for me and got me a quote. I went to the shop and my windshield was replaced with a non-dealer windshield, which is not what I asked for in the first place. When I asked for my old windshield back and my money back, the same sales woman who did not get my request right on the first place, contacted me back instead of her manager. She was aggressive and angry. The first thing she told me was that she had documentation and I told her , " I know. I told you in the courtyard when you came to my job that I wanted a quote on a dealer windshield". She argumentatively said my boss was standing right there and heard our whole conversation and you never inquired about that. I told her that I was not going to argue with her. She had already argued with me and given me a bad attitude. I asked for my money back and my windshield back. She said she would call me back. I never heard from her. I find it odd that in the middle of so many people in the courtyard of my job, her manager would have time to eavesdrop on our conversation. I have been sales. I have done her job. She is a terrible salesperson without listening skills and follow through. This company did not correct things for me, as a consumer. I also found it very odd that they do not use desktop computers. My payment was made with my debit card which was swiped into a swiper connected to the clerk's cell phone. 2 weeks later my debit card was cloned and the thief withdrew $400 from an ATM at the Santa Ana post office. Talk about a shady, mom and pop run company without any assurance to the consumer and NO ONE at any time confirmed that I was paying for a non-dealer windshield. It was not until my windshield was installed that I found out and why would I ask? My request was for a quote on a dealer windshield to begin with! read more
