    I had a great experience with Safelite. My window was chipped and left a huge crack that required the entire window to be removed. They work with insurances so triple A was able to set the appt for me at 8am on a Friday. They are extremely busy, but I did see walk ins and they would accommodate if able. Jerry took my car and evaluated it to make sure everything was set. They said it would take about 2-3 hours and they were done in 2! The whole procedure was just seamless as they also needed to change my rearview mirror and recalibrate. Gone are the days when this would cost just a few hundred bucks. Like everything these days it is pricey and I'm just thankful we have insurance with a good deductible that would handle this for us. Thank you safelite for doing an incredible job! I say this with much respect but I hope I never see you again, but if I do I know I'll be well taken care of.

    Toddler damage

    Anyone thinking about this service, be careful getting replacement glass here. They use 3rd party glass and we've personally experienced how easily these things break in literally under a month. My toddler lightly bumped his head on top while getting in his car seat and the glass cracked immediately. Safelite wouldn't do anything for warranty due to impact. When asked about the glass quality, they assure its OEM quality but also said they've even had instances when glass cracked when someone hit a fly. Hope anyone (including the owner), reading gets some value out of this review. Lesson learned: Pay more and go OEM to save duplicate time (half-day) and cost (850)

    Absolutely unacceptable experience at Safelite Irvine -- avoid at all costs. I had my windshield replaced at the Safelite Irvine location on Friday 4/18 and was met with incompetence, dishonesty, and blatant disregard for quality or accountability. When I picked up my car, no one mentioned any issues. I paid my $200 deductible, got my keys, and went outside--only to find the rear view mirror sitting in my center console, completely detached. I looked closer and saw a chunk of glass missing from the windshield where the mirror should've been. I brought the mirror back inside and showed Tony (assistant manager) and Ilce (receptionist). They seemed surprised, and Tony claimed maybe I had adjusted the mirror and it fell (I hadn't even gotten in the car yet). Then he said the glass must've been defective and I'd need to come back for another windshield under warranty. As if that weren't enough, on the drive home I noticed damage to the dash trim around my nav screen--likely caused when the mirror fell. On Monday 4/21, I received a call from Jerry (Irvine manager) who told me the real reason: the technician overtightened the screw, which broke the mounting bracket and took glass with it. This was the first time anyone admitted the truth. Jerry then claimed Tony had already explained all of this to me on Friday--which was a total lie. When I confronted him, Jerry tried to backtrack and was rude and dismissive. Both he and Tony were unprofessional and dishonest. Thankfully, the Westminster Safelite location was professional and corrected the windshield. But even they pointed out that the wiper blades were missing their end caps, which were removed and never replaced by Irvine. Poor workmanship, no accountability, and a complete lack of professionalism. The Irvine team handed me back a damaged car and hoped I wouldn't notice. Avoid Safelite Irvine. Period.

I reached out to check on the warranty and even though it wasn't covered, they still took the time to come back out to my house and look at it. They spent about 20 minutes inspecting it, sealed the crack, and did everything they could to stop it from spreading, all at no extra charge. They were honest about the situation, explained everything clearly, and genuinely tried to help instead of brushing it off. They even made sure my car was clean inside and out before they left. What really stood out was the customer service. These guys actually care and treat you like a person, not just another job on the schedule.     Rating: 4.75/5 I…read morerecently had my Subaru tinted with Llumar FormulaOne "Stratos" series at Tint Plus, and overall, I'm really happy with the experience. From the start, the initial call was helpful, and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The manager was great--he was patient, informative, and really took the time to walk me through the options. I opted for the higher-end Stratos series, with 70% tint on the windshield and sunroof, and 30% on the sides. I went with the 30% on the sides for a good balance between looks and function, though in hindsight, I might have gone with a 40% or 50% just to reduce the chance of being pulled over. But that's a subjective decision, and I can still see fine at night with the 30%, so it works. After having the Stratos for a while, I'll admit that I didn't notice as much of a difference as I expected between it and a high-quality ceramic film. If I were to do it again, I'd probably consider going with their regular ceramic for the side windows and keep the Stratos on the windshield and sunroof, where it does feel like a noticeable upgrade in terms of heat rejection and clarity. There were some small air bubbles in the tint, particularly on the sunroof, but I gave it a little time. When they didn't go away, I gave the shop a call. They were really accommodating, and the manager had no hesitation in bringing me in to replace the sunroof tint. I appreciate how they handled this--it's hard to get tint perfect every time (unless you're working in a clean room), but they were eager to make sure I was satisfied, which goes a long way in my book. One minor hiccup was that the price I was quoted online was a bit different than what I was told in the shop. The website has some helpful details, but it showed a car sunroof (rather than a small SUV), which resulted in a higher price. Not a huge deal, and I understand that things can get mixed up, especially with a newer website. When I brought it up in-store, they gave me an upfront quote that was just a little higher than expected (maybe around $70 more), but they were clear about it, and they also offer a nice military veteran discount. I didn't push them to honor the online price because I felt the situation was understandable and fair. Another nice touch was that they use professional software for invoicing, which I didn't see at another shop I've worked with in the past. It adds a level of professionalism that I really appreciated. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, with a waiting area and a restroom. I liked that they had a display showing all their tint options, plus a helpful booklet with examples, so I could see how different tints would look in my car before making a final choice. When I came back for the replacement tint, I was told it would take about an hour. However, I didn't hear anything for a few hours, so I called and was informed that the job was actually done and ready. A small communication hiccup, but no big deal--just something to keep in mind. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect 5-star (4.75 out of 5, though I did round up) review is the small price discrepancy, the initial bubble issue, and the slight difference I noticed with the Stratos compared to ceramic, but considering how quickly they addressed everything and how great the overall experience was, I'm still very satisfied. They truly care about customer service, and I'd definitely recommend Tint Plus if you're looking for a quality tint job with fair pricing, professional service, and great attention to detail.
