I have been coming here for years, and in general the employees are very kind and the car is clean. On my most recent visit, however, I was totally tricked by the manager into paying for something I didn't even want in the first place. I pulled up, he said the gold special didn't include a carpet shampoo (it does), and then told me for $90 total he'd do the seats and everything. I said no, he pushed saying the car was too dirty for a regular wash, and I finally agreed. after I paid, the lady at the front said my wash was only $90 because I had used my Buy10, Get 1 free. Coupon ($37) for the main wash. I told her no, the guy at the front said it would be $90 total. Just then he walked in and scoffed saying, "no, it's $90 just for the seats." I told him at the time when he offered it he didn't even know I had a $37 free Wash in my account and that I felt tricked. He said "tricked?! Psh." And walked away. I joined the "frequent wash club" a couple months ago and have been getting the car done about once a week since then. Car looks GREAT but I was even MORE impressed by the quality of their service. I lost a credit card about 6 months ago, had NO idea where I lost it. Last week, when I picked up the car, there was my credit card on the console with my key!! Let me first say I love this Carwash I've been coming here for years, with that being said I came today and asked do they still honor free car washes if it rain the next day, in this case it rained the next several days, so I asked Daniel will they still honor the free wash, he then said up to three days I was trying to explain to him it rained for the next several days so I couldn't come back he kept saying only three days I kept saying but it's been raining all this time he starts getting aggressive and says let me call my manager he was very rude. I would've paid no problem I was just asking how does it work if it rain pass three days he calls Noe the manager over who could see I was clearly upset at this point I explained to him how rude Daniel was he said in return he should've just called me. Noe took care of me immediately and was very pleasant. I still don't know if its honored if it rain pass three days. After years of being a loyal customer, yesterday was my last time taking my car for a wash at this place. Two stars only because they've done a fairly decent job cleaning my car, but I had a terrible customer experience the past two times that has completely turned me off from returning. When I went in March--after months of letting my car go unwashed--an employee convinced me to get a service package that was double than what I normally pay ($70 with tip). And despite being unemployed, and conveying as much to him, I agreed to this frivolous expense after excessive cajoling from him. When I went back for another wash yesterday, once again they tried to push down a $100+ service down my throat, which was really annoying (who can afford to routinely pay this much for a cash wash? While unemployed, at that). But even worse, when I walked in to pay for my service, the guy at the register pulled up my account and accused me of not paying last time (in March). He claimed their cameras captured a car with my license plate number leaving without paying. I quickly pulled up the transaction in my credit card statement to show him that I did, in fact, pay, but he told me to step aside and wait for a manager--while a long line started forming behind me. Needless to say, I'm getting frustrated and now embarrassed at the scene this was becoming. When the manager arrived, she gave me the same story about their cameras, even after looking at my receipt, but ultimately agreed to remove the note from my account. No apologies or acknowledgment of their mistake from her or the guy who initially helped me. I almost considered not tipping the cleaners, but didn't want to be petty. I know for certain that I will not be giving my service to this business anymore. My advice would be to beware of this shady place. read more

I just moved to Palo Alto to attend law school and I am SO glad I found this car wash. I try to take good care of my car, it's my baby. I rarely trust anybody besides me to wash it. With that said, as a student living on campus I don't have access to the supplies I would need to wash my car. So, I decided to roll the dice and try out Auto Care. The reviews looked solid and it's super close to campus so I figured why not? WOW! I was shocked. Truly some of the best work I have ever seen and at an incredibly reasonable price. EVERYTHING is hand done, the washers bust their tails to get your car out (in perfect condition) incredibly fast and the employees are super friendly. This place has it right. Here's a great example of what I'm talking about: I recently enrolled in their frequent washers program (it's free). This program alone should be enough to give them 5 stars. You simply enroll by giving your name/number and after getting your car washed 10 times your 11th wash is 100% FREE, just make sure to tip your washers because they do a great job. Anyways, when I enrolled in this amazing program I had already been to the wash beforehand but had not enrolled until my second visit. Without even having to ask Blanca, the friendly front desk attendant, not only credited my account with my first visit but also gave me a $10 discount on my wash. There must be something in the water up here because your cars come out cleaner and the employees come out nicer. I am cancelling my subscription for discounted car washes. First they started trying to upsell me from the basic carwash, that was fine. Then they got more aggressive, annoying but okay. Then they started questioning my judgement by going with "basic" wash. Now I was reconsidering using them. Then apparently they decided to force me into a more expensive wash by doing a crappy job on the basic wash. But my experience told me, even reliable companies have a "off" day. But then the next day I brought another of my cars in and they did an absolutely unbelievably bad job on my interior. No one does that bad and gets any more of MY business. read more

Hi, I was treated very disrespectful by one of your employee, I am kind and respectful person and I really am Waiting to talk the management to get better understanding what I have done wrong. I kindly asked the customer in the car to move a bit so I could drive to external wash lane and when I came to the register I got lectured that I have no right to ask people to move their cars. I wonder what I have done wrong? I didn't mean to cut lines, but I guess that the assumption was made. Guess I should have read some of the other recent reviews a bit better.... I got the Platinum wash today for $44.99, and am leaving two stars because yes, my car is cleaner than when I brought it in. Unfortunately, it's not much more than that. I chose the Platinum wash because it was their "highest package offering ultimate protection of your car's paint, rubber, vinyl, and leather." It had been a while since I washed my car, so I wanted the most inclusive wash. I was told the wash would take 30 minutes, so went to pay and got comfortable on a bench to wait. About 10 minutes later, I was being waved over to my completed car, which was a red flag. I checked my receipt, and sure enough, I had paid at 4:40 pm, and it was 4:51 pm when I was called over. I didn't wait in line before paying, so the maximum amount of time it could have taken me to get to the register would have been generously 3 minutes. Important to note on this - the person checking out behind me purchased the cheapest package, and his car was done at the same time as mine. When I got to the car, there were still smudges all over the trunk, so I asked one of the guys to wipe it off a little better. I checked around again, and found a few more smudges, so again asked him to wipe those. I quickly checked around the rest of the car, but didn't want to be that annoying nitpicky customer (in hindsight, I should have been). When I got to my next location (approximately 1 mile away from the car wash) and parked, I noticed that there were still TONS of marks and dirt all over the car. I spent about 15 minutes when I got home cleaning them off myself. TL;DR: Not worth the $45 + $5 tip. At best, I'd recommend only getting the very basic wash ($24.99) as they seem to do the same service no matter what you pay. That said, I'd recommend the Shell gas station car wash at Middlefield and Shoreline over any of Auto Pride's services. read more

Today was my first time going here. I got the Premium option, as It had been quite awhile since I'd had my truck properly cleaned. It took less time than I expected. Once I had time to inspect the work, I could easily tell why it had taken less time than I thought. I'll attach a photo of one of the rims on my truck, which still needs to be cleaned after a trip to this car wash. I don't think I'll be going back. To put the cherry on top: I asked for no air freshener, but got it anyway. Auto Detailing is something that has DETAIL IN THE NAME. They are fast, the wait is never too long which for me is key when running this errand. Staff are pretty friendly. I mean what do u expect from a car wash. What's also nice is my wheels are hard to clean and they do a decent job. I actually drive it around the block to splash out excess water. Then I drive it back and they wipe down the wheels for me again. Not many car washes would do this. Lastly. Get the vip card. You get a free wash after 10. They have locations outside as well for you to sit in the shade while you wait, and they have generally done a good job with our cars. The first sign of trouble was the fact they managed to finish cleaning my car in the time it took me to get a coffee from a neighboring coffee shop. It looked clean enough from the back so I naively drove off. When I got home I discovered there was still a bird shit on the hood and the wheel arches were filthy. It looks like they just vacuumed the inside and sprayed it down with a hose. I can't imagine how bad the cheaper options would be. Never ever ever go here. read more

I paid for their highest level of cleaning and it still had many dirty areas all over. There were multiple services included that I had to remind them about before they actually did it.
