Came here for the first time and purchased a gold package. Customer service was great. Friendly and helpful. The gift shop Had a pretty big selection as well. Waiting area was comfortable and they also had complimentary coffee. The result of the wash was just ok. $250 for the exterior and interior. Reasonable price but let's talk about the experience. This is my first ever car detail too. Interior. First impressions looks wow, but as you get really close you notice it wasn't rubbed/scrubbed throughout. Not sure if that's included in a detail? I mean they did a great job making it look really dark and "polished" looking inside but when everything dried up, it dried up showing marks and you can see in the light some areas could have been really deep cleaned. For example, my seats- of course still wet, dried up with like this white chalky/rough finish. My media console could have been wiped better too. Little blemishes through out my car I found. Exterior. The outside does not look as good as it could be. I know that when you pay the $250 the exterior is just a wash- but seriously the 76 down the street gets my car looking even more sparkly than what they done here today. I would have thought they would have done a way better job too considering it's hand wash. As I picked up my car I noticed lots of smudges and wipe marks but the manager basically told me I should consider in the future getting a exterior detail which is like $200+ and that would basically get it looking the way I want it. (My car is so old to care for that, but it's nice to suggest, although I'd pass) either way, for a car wash for the exterior I'd rather go to the 76. They also forgot my car mats which they apologized for and gave me a free wash. Nice gesture and service. A little disappointed on the inside and the outside don't know if I'd recommend this place to anyone or come back. $250 is a lot of money these days, and to pay that much and not really have a great great experience is a bit sad- , but these people work really hard. I've been bringing my car to Auto Pride Car Wash in Redwood City for nearly 6 months now. I took advantage of the ' Unlimited Wash Plan ' . That allows me up to one car wash per day for about $50 a month. (Recurring payment of course). Reality is, Im not going to wash my vehicle that often.. However, I have that option. So I am finding myself driving to Auto Pride once a week. One average wash cost about $30. So it's actually a really good deal. And I love deals! They vacuum, hand wash, hand dry and wipe down the interior with such perfection that I always leave them a tip and drive away satisfied. I live local to this place so that's why it works for me. I spoke with the attendant and specifically asked them vacuum this area cause it was Broken glass from a broken window. First time here and not pleased. I went for the Platinum as I hadn't had a good car wash in a while. I had to point out multiple obvious coffee spots on the dash which were easy to remove, my cup holders were left filthy, they put mats back in haphazardly and backward, I found several spots of bird poop on my car after, the general interior vacuum missed a lot of debris, and I dont know if the trunk is included in vacuuming, but it should be for a $40+ car wash (they either didn't do it or did it incredibly poorly). They finished too quickly to have done a thorough job. They tried to upsell me on other services when they don't even do adequate work on the basics. They clearly rushed and weren't even very busy! I have a relatively new car that I've been washing myself at home. After the rains it was dirty so I brought it here for an exterior only wash. They ran it through and when they returned it to me, it still had dirt all over it, and in obvious spots. I pointed it out to the guy that handed it back to me, and he suggested I run it through again. I took it back into the now much longer line, and when it was my turn and I explained that they hadn't cleaned it the first time, the guy told me that the dirt wouldn't come off unless they used a brush. I told him that most of the dirt left on the car just requires soap, water and a little rag to dry it off, but the other areas just needed a bit more scrubbing with a sponge. This is what I do at home all the time. They ran it through again and watched this time. They don't scrub at all! They should point this out before I pay for a car wash. It's not worth $20 if I have to go home and wash it myself anyway. I will not be back! read more

For the price you pay, there's no better car wash in the area. The attention to detail, front to back is well worth their price. What would take me 2 hours to do, they do in about 30 minutes including wait time on the busiest of days. The free coffee while you wait is also a nice touch! read more

Honestly, this place can be a hit or miss. BUT if you notice something isint done right, you can let them know, and they will fix it. I have decided to come to Auto Pride over Ducky's because Ducky's isint hand wash and I was starting to notice swirls and small scratches in the paint. Grrr! By coming here, I avoid the paint getting damaged. I have a monthly platinum pass now because it makes more sense considering how often I come. Having previously been a monthly member of Auto Pride, I used to have a lot of trust in this wash. Previous staff cared about specific customers and didnt have to be instructed by customers to double check every wash and ensure the vehicle is clean. Something is changed in the last few months and care or quality can no longer be expected from the staff, even from long time or well paying/tipping customers. I made the mistake of giving them a 3RD chance about a month after I had a professional detail done, and could not regret this decision more. On top of having to go back and clean the car myself at home, they left terrible scuffs and swirl marks making it seem as though my car had not been serviced in a year. Thats unacceptable for a $40 package. My detailer (which I'd previously spent $400 at) can do an Express wash for $60-70 and absolutely would never come out looking like this. At Auto Prides $40-$50 price point this quality is not acceptable. Because of their crap service, I will definitely now need to take my car for a new detail and paint correction in the next few weeks. -Water marks -Surface level paint scratches -Swirl marks -Tire dressing residue all over rims -Still wet floor mats were draped over seat onto floor -clearly visible that no hard surface on interior was cleaned If you're taking in a daily commuter that you really just want relatively clean when you pull into work, by all means throw these folks 20 bucks once every 2-3 weeks. But if you genuinely care about your car and its appearence/care, dont bother bringing it here. You will definitely regret it. read more

This used to be my go-to place since 20 years! Not anymore! They regularly race their prices (not that others don't do this)! But it would be nice after paying for a FULL carwash, actually getting a FULL carwash! Many times I drove off thinking my car is clean, but finding huge spots that weren't cleaned at all. One time the passenger door had a huge spot that was simply not washed! The other time my sunroof was dirty from the outside. The interior often is just not probably cleaned and spots not touched. One time they forgot to put back one of my mats and last time I was there, one of a plastic protection piece of my cup holder was missing. I called and asked if they found something. The lady was very friendly, promised me to call me back but she never did. So I guess, it's JUST missing then... So annoying!! I am not a picky customer and always leave an appropriate tip for their workers, but I will not support such a careless attitude. I don't expect my car to look perfect after the car wash but when I need to start cleaning missed spots after coming from an expensive carwash - what is the point? And the rims on the doors - I don't think they EVER saw water or have been cleaned in any way by them. Very disappointing! The staff however always is very friendly, and I like their little store but that's about it. But the carwash is not done how it should be when someone cares. Listen people, it isn't worth it. I hate writing reviews but this place is worth the few minutes to tell you you're gonna leave here regretting it. I've lived in RWC all my life, and the people who go here I'm guessing don't know a whole lot about car washes. But if you care about your car, getting your money's worth, and your meticulous about details, then go elsewhere. You're going to end paying $50 for the same work for a $10 car wash. In a nutshell, this is as good as a gas station car wash. These are one of those places that don't care about you (or your car). They don't care about being thorough or doing a good job. They just want your $$. There's no difference between the gold, platinum or whatever plan they have. You think you're going to pay $5 for something extra, and you tell yourself that "it's only $5" while you sit in your car and wager your options and say "why not", but no what they don't tell you is they remove something (ie. carpet shampooing) when they want you to think you are getting more. So it's not an upgrade. They're just trying to pinch every dime out of you. I never even thought of writing a review for a car wash gift store, but even I can tell they insanely mark up everything in there. I even overheard the Manager not honor someone trying to return something when they sincerely weren't told how many days the return policy was. I mean, come on...this is a car wash gift store! What kind of Manager does that?? But the person at the register is super nice, but that's the only positive I got for this place. Look, we Yelp because we want to know if what we're getting is good, whether it's food or a service, and if it's worth our money. These employees are the best! I have an unlimited pass and I'm here weekly-dusty on the farm. They do an awesome job on my car and are a pleasure to work with. Michael is great and the woman who works behind the desk is just lovely! To that end, I am sad that we can only get $5 cash back from our card for a tip. I went to Auto Pride because it is conveniently close and I had gotten coupons in the mail for discounted washes. I should preface this with the fact that my car was in a dire need of a wash, so there was a massive improvement before and after taking it to Auto Pride. However, the job they did was mediocre. I paid for a Silver Special wash, expecting it to take 40 min to an hour, which is what equivalent packages at other places take. Instead, it took only 30 minutes for them to finish with sub-ideal results. There were water streaks on the passenger side window and the rear window. They also hadn't completely finished drying the car, so water dripped onto my clothes and hands whenever I opened any of the doors. I ended up having to wipe the windows myself to do a final dry of the car and to clean away some of the stains. On the plus side, they at least have a decent seating/waiting area with complementary coffee. The employees there were really friendly and polite, and the facilities seem to be in proper shape, so it's unclear why the work that was done on my car was sloppy. Very hard working and polite team here, but their process is too fast and this creates risks for your paint. I've come here a number of times without major issues (you have to accept that some spots may be missed, it's not a full detail, it's a car wash), but today both of my mirrors, front light housing, and my hood were badly scratched during my wash. Because this is not a true hand wash; they run your car through an automated system and begin toweling by hand afterwards, they clearly either started too early, did not wash thoroughly enough before toweling or simply do not clean their towels - and ended up etching deep scratches in my paint in multiple locations. My car is low mileage, garage kept and has an OptiCoat Pro ceramic coating. Wasn't enough to protect it. If you don't want major risk, wash your car yourself or go to a touch-free. At least minor swirls on your clear coat and be corrected; etches have to be repainted. $38.99 for a Silver wash will now cost me $2,000+ for paint and a new 3M wrap for the hood to restore the car. By far the best car wash to come to in the Peninsula. I always get amazing service when I bring in my car for a wash (my commute is 60 miles daily so my car gets dirty pretty quick). Always glistens as I leave the wash. Michael always ensures my car is clean and tidy inside and out whenever I come by. His customer service and professionalism is phenomenal and I really appreciate how he mentions to always hold on to the receipt because if your car gets dirty for any reason, you bring the car back and you'll get a complimentary wash!
