They did a good job getting it clean, but said... if in the next 2 days you see that we missed anything bring it back and we will redo it. Been coming to Auto Pride Redwood City for over 20 years and I am going to be trying someone else. The last car wash I had was very poor. Dash and door we swiped with a rag, but didn't swipe the entire dash, floors inadequately vacuumed, windows not rolled down to clean the entire window (about 1/2 inch of the top of all the windows filthy which you only see when you roll the windows down), debris left in the cup holders and the dashboard light panels and stick shift area not touched (crumbs, dust, etc. left). These guys did good. A friend of mine complained that my car smelled like sweaty dudes and that's when I knew my car was due for a good washing. One of my friends recommended me to Auto Pride and I'm glad I took him up on that. After waiting in line, you drop your car off and tell them what package you'd like. I ordered up the basic wash with an express seat shampoo detailing. That came out to $80 that was well spent. My car came back looking shiny on the outside and not smelling like sweaty dudes on the inside. This is a good car wash. Definitely use a coupon and be warned they will try to up sell you to a higher clean job but not pushy. Your choice. Staff is nice and hard working. The only thing about this place is that I'm not sure that they are that thorough. Majority of the time I have to point stuff out or to be honest, I just shy away from saying anything. So it's been a little hit or miss but I tell you it maybe my fault, I wait a mighty long time to wash my car and they can't get everything. Some pluses....clean and great store to keep you distracted and even spend money because its full of impulse buy cute stuff. They have coffee outside as you wait. Do go and DO TIP on your way out! I'll be honest. I'm a ducky's fan. But I've been warming up to auto pride since it's now right down my street. Service has been hit or miss the last few years but I was pleasantly surprised on my last visit. No hard up sell during the intake. Very nice friendly lady in the office who even brought my dog a cup of water. (I always enjoy browsing their Merch -great place for birthday cards and gifts). And they did a great job on my car. Michael even offered to take off some red paint marks from my cars bumper. So that was a nice bonus! User tips: try to go mid day mid week if possible. And use the online coupon for 5 bucks off. This place has been here for so long! I remember coming with my parents to wash their cars and it was always a fun experience! All the workers are very polite and nice and work amazing and fast. Today I dropped a Vanilla Latte on the passenger seat and I freaked out as a I tried to clean it myself by buying a $15 spray that didn't do anything make stain my seat even more... Story short, I went in and I told the guys there what happened, I thought it was going to be expensive and they were not going to be able to do just one seat... Went to Auto-Pride at ~4:30 pm today and at the end of the service, a New Zealander (Michael?) came up to show me to my washed car. I had seen him doing some final cleaning so I was looking forward to a well cleaned car. When we got to my car, I pointed out a spot on my clear film bra to ask if that might be able to come off - he tried to clean it with a little solvent but was not able to get it off. At that point, he rattled off how "when you eventually sell it back to the dealer, they will remove the film and it won't even have affected the paint." I had just let the comment go at the time as I don't think he even realized how condescending and sexist that comment was. I would bet that Michael would not have said that to a male who was picky about the cleanliness of his car. I see in the other reviews that many are really happy with his friendly service and I am glad that he is providing good service to others. But if management reads this, they should let him know that such a comment is offensive, especially in this day and age. Overall, my car wash was ok. There were some other dirt marks on the paint that I had to ask another attendant to help me clean off. And once I was inside my car, I noticed adhesive on the inside of the driver side window left from the tape that held the work order. Rather than trying to get another attendant's attention, I just cleaned it off myself when I got home. read more

Finally got the time to take my car in for a wash today. I like Auto Pride Woodside Rd the best of all in the area. They consistently do a good job. Today was no different EXCEPT an awesome guy named Lee gave me exceptional service. When my car was done I ask him in passing how I could get some paint scrapes off as I keep rubbing up against a steel post when turning into my garage. He said give him a few more minutes and he could use some kind of solvent or something on it. He got it almost totally out. I bought the $44.99 package and added $20 for the seat cleaning/conditioning. First there were so many misses on the exterior, on the interior, the drivers seat still showed so many water marks and the middle of my back seat wasn't even touched. It had pieces of brown stuff sticking to the leather. The sunroof is a nightmare, no way could you consider it cleaned. I showed the guy a bunch of stuff not done until I was so late for my appointment I had to go. A very messy job and paying $65 is a lot of money to me! read more

Wish this location had an exterior only/fast pass lane like the Palo Alto location. Even if you want exterior only they make you wait for cars in the other lanes to get vacuumed before you can take your car through for an exterior wash. I've been going to this car wash for many years. But today when I got my car washed. As saw the workers wiping down and cleaning car. I literally had bird shit that was easy visibly seen on passenger door. And they just wiped around it like it was nothing. I basically had to point out to them that they missed a spot WTF! Then they missed several spots on top of my car that I had to point out too. Then I requested that I wanted lemon air freshener in my car which was stated on my ticket. Then as I was trying to flag one of the workers down for the matter, another car wash employee honked at me to move my car which not only I found was rude and disrespectful but very unprofessional. Like excuse me? I know good and well you didn't just honk at me? How dare you!! I would think they would find it in their hearts that if a customer didn't get their services met to allow them to bring up their concern and not honk at them to move. After years of having my cars washed at San Carlos Auto Pride, I decided to have my 7 year old blue car professionally detailed. I'd been told blue is the hardest color to maintain and I wax my car at least twice a year, but thought I'd see how it turned out after I let the pro's have at it. I looked online at Mobile Detailers to have it done while I was at work, but both places had a fairly long waiting list. Then I remembered, Auto Pride does detailing, so I went over, talked to George about what Complete Detailing ($325) involved, and made the appointment. I dropped my car off at 8 am and picked it up at 5 (it was ready earlier, but I forgot to leave my phone number). Anyway, boy was I ever impressed! I had a few deep scratches (front bumper and trunk), that they magically managed to minimize on the bumper, and almost completely erase on the trunk! And when I got inside, it looked like a brand new car! Yeah, I've been to Ducky's down the road, but Auto Pride seems to do a better job. As to their being slow, yes, you can have a wait on the weekends (I've waited 45 minutes, but it's a great time to look over the card selection. I've found some of the best birthday cards ever at Auto Pride) especially between 10 am-2 pm in the summer, but they're moving through a lot of cars in the heat with no shade in the drying area. I promise, they move faster than I ever could! Have a cup of their free coffee or water and chill. When your car is done, take a walk around it; if there's anything you don't like, let them know; they'll fix it. read more

A while back, I came to get my car wash and was disappointed in the result (there were still bugs on the windshield, mud on the tires). I was in a rush so I didn't have time to ask for a rewash. I emailed them, and they told me to come in and talk to Lee. When I came back and asked for Lee, he was extremely friendly and apologetic. They rewashed my car for me, and even applied exterior dressing to the plastic trim of my car for free. They really went above and beyond, and truly impressed me. Interior cleaning is far from decent unless you ask them to go back and clean in more detail. They leave obvious stains in visible places. The mata are not vacuumed properly either. BE AWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT I was there on Saturday July 3rd I pulled up and took off my ray bands sunglasses placed them in the compartment with another pair of sunglasses. Got off the car and paid for the car wash. When I got back in my car I put my child in the car seat and as I was pulling away from the car wash I reach over to get my glasses. The cheap glasses were still there but my ray bands were GONE... I immediately made a U-turn and talk to the manager. They implied I had misplaced my sunglasses but I was 100% sure where my sunglasses where when I got off my car. I told him one of your employees had taken my glasses. This is totally unacceptable. Manager then proceeded to point out that they have a sign saying take your valuables. I was there to get my car wash a establishment that offers a service not at a shady back alley to have to worry about getting my stuff stolen. This place should have been an honest respectable place where people can bring their cars to get washed and not having to worry if their employees are trustworthy individuals. Auto pride didn't take responsibility of their employees actions. I will no longer be supporting these kind of theives and will be making a complaint to the BBB. Sunglasses can be replaced I understand but not the sentimental value. Those sunglasses were a gift from my wife and not just a gas station pick up kinda sunglasses. They did a good job with the exterior and I had my mats washed as well which was great. The general wipe down of the dashboard and cup holders is never good enough for me. I have found the little nooks in the center compartment and cup holders are still dirty after their cleaning.
