Things started off poorly when I arrived for an appointment that I had scheduled in advance and was told I didn't have one. After showing voicemail messages and phone records confirming the appointment, it was acknowledged that I did have one, but I was informed that several other vehicles would now be ahead of me. Over the next several months, with my approval, additional work was added beyond the original estimate. When I finally received the vehicle back, the bill was nearly three times higher than the original quote. Unfortunately, the vehicle immediately developed a severe oil leak from the valve cover area. I was instructed to bring it back, but no tow was offered or suggested despite the severity of the leak. I checked the oil level and attempted to drive it back to the shop. The engine failed and locked up just a couple of miles away, requiring me to have it towed in. After discussing the situation, we agreed that installing a rebuilt engine would be a fair resolution. I agreed to pay $500 for labor and another $500 to add wiring for the oil pressure and generator warning lights. Nearly a year later, I received a call that the vehicle was finally ready for pickup. However, it barely made it a couple of blocks before I discovered the brakes were dragging badly. This was especially frustrating because brake work had been part of the original repair request. The shop kept the vehicle for another couple of weeks before I was able to pick it up for a third time. At that point, I was informed that the newly installed engine would carry absolutely no warranty. After all the time, money, and frustration involved, I ultimately sold the vehicle just to recover some of my expenses. Throughout the entire process, the attitude and communication were overwhelmingly negative and only seemed to worsen over time. What's particularly disappointing is that I used this shop about 17 years ago and received excellent service. I later learned that the mechanic who performed that work has since passed away. Sadly, the quality of service I received this time was nothing like what I remembered. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. I would never want someone else to go through what I experienced here.

After looking at a couple different shops based on reviews, we went with Advanced Automotive to do…read morea pre-purchase inspection of a vehicle we were interested in buying (2017 Suburban Premier). After a few hours they called and went over the couple issues they had found and should be replaced which they were very nice and helpful. They found that one control arm had some play in it and should be replaced, the brake vacuum was bad, and one of the window switches auto up didn't work. After taking this to the dealer they fixed the issue and all was well. After driving 100 miles back home we noticed the car didn't handle any bumps or turns very well. We took it to a local mechanic where they found the following wrong with it- Self leveling shock system (air bags and shocks) torn and blown out- $1500 Compressor for shocks burnt out and hasn't been operational for a long time- $1000 Upper passenger control arm causing stability issues and creaking (needs replaced and alignment)- $950 We paid $199 to have them check the important components of a car before buying. Now we are stuck with a bill totaling over $3000 on a vehicle with less than 150 miles from us driving it. Do not take your car here for pre-purchase inspections. These are all common failure points for this vehicle with this many miles as confirmed with multiple other trusted local mechanics in our area. The least they could do is refund this inspection fee to help cover the cost of repairs of a car we wouldn't have bought in the first place if due diligence was done as we trusted it would be.

On my way to work about a month ago, I was driving on I-205 S in a torrential downpour. It was…read moreearly, and very dark. Suddenly, I hear a horrible sound and seems to be coming from MY vehicle! It sounded like something had gotten caught underneath my engine and was dragging along the concrete. I pulled over to investigate, and from what I could see in the dark and rain, it looked like the lower engine cover (skid plate) had come loose while I was driving and had been dragging. This cover was DESTROYED. At this point, I'm thinking "well, it's 5AM, and I'm halfway to work. I can drive home and destroy this thing more, or drive to work and destroy this thing more". I went to work. After making some calls, I finally got in touch with Tyler's Automotive. I explained the situation, and they said they could help me out. I drove over on my lunch break (scraping all the way), and they were able to take the skid plate off. It was in PIECES. They said they could order the part, and that they'd call me with a quote later on. I got the quote, and we made an appointment for a couple days later. I had made an appointment for 11AM, and arrived 5 minutes beforehand (again on my lunch break). They took my keys, and someone went out and started my car. It sat there idling for about 15 minutes before anyone got in it and drove it into the garage. All told, it took 45 minutes and $240, but the skid plate was replaced. I was thankful they could take care of everything, and grateful to have my vehicle back in action. I gave 4 stars due to not being taken care of at the scheduled appointment time. Since I only get 30 minutes for my lunch break, I needed this to be taken care of quickly, and I had been told they could do it in less than 30 minutes. That being said, I'd still recommend this shop. They were friendly and helpful, and they did the job quickly once they started.

TA was able to identify the 'short' and fix the issues for less than $500. Appreciate them listening to me and working with me solve the problem vs just trying to sell me something I didn't need. I recommend this shop to my friends and family.

I asked him to explain but received a generalized non sensical answer. I paid cash, got the truck but the next day, all the same problems happened again. I called a dealership and asked if they could program the new FCM, they said, no problem, bring it in. I called Accurate Auto and said I want a return on the $300 for the programming. All sorts of excuses, more time needed, etc. I had no more time, my move was already delayed so I stuck to my guns. Eventually I talked to a manager and he agreed to refund the $300. Next day I went in and asked for the money and was told it had already been refunded. I asked how so? "To your card, see?" And Keenan flipped the monitor around for me to see. I asked "Whose card did you put this on?" "Yours!" he said. I said, "I paid cash" as it also shows right here on your monitor. Long silence. "Oh well I don't know where we keep cash." I pointed to the cash drawer. "This is out of my wheelhouse" he says. Then lots of to-ing and fro-ing to the office and back. I could hear the murmurs as they decided upon their next excuse. Meanwhile a customer sitting behind me said she was having doubts already about the place and that did it, she was getting her keys and car back right away. Tech-guy-turned-cashier comes back and tells me there is no cash and I would have to come back the next day. And no, they couldn't put the credit on a card. Manager Mike then steps out of the office and demands that I refrain from bad mouthing their business to waiting customers (as a second person in the lobby proceeded to tell me his experiences). I ignored Mike's comment because I didn't want to hear any more blathering and lose the focus of this trip. Besides I certainly didn't have to. Accurate Auto displayed their inadequacies all on their very own without any help from me. The next day Mike very cordially gave me the $300 cash. I then took my truck to a dealership where it was reprogrammed successfully for $225.
