last month, I was traveling in Oregon and on the way to the airport for an early morning flight. Unfortunately, I hit something in the road that was very loud and within minutes my car lost all the tire pressure. I was able to get off the freeway and luckily there was a Les Schwab right there. While I was certain my destiny was doomed and that I would miss my flight waiting in line, the manager rose to the occasion and had one of his crew, cotton, take off the tire, plug it, and put it back on before I could even get someone to talk to at the Rent-A-Car company. Do not go to this Les Schwab. Been using Schwab for years and this was the worst experience I have ever had with a Les Schwab. Picked up a nail in my tire and they claimed it was unrepairable and tried to sell/rip me off with tires. Claimed my car was AWD and needed all 4 tires (my car is selectable 4x4 and the front tires are fairly new) I asked them to put the spare on and when they were done they threw everything in the back instead of placing the tire back correctly, which ultimately damaged my wheel. On top of that they charged me. I understand they are a business but I have never been charged for this before. Went to the Oregon city location and they patched me up no problem for free. Please go the location in Oregon city and stay away from West Linn. read more

The pushy, guilt-trippy sales thing isn't my style. I have a slow leak in a tire and I took it to my local Les Schwab (Happy Valley location) last week as they were closing. They put some air in it for me and offered to patch it the next day. They said my rear tires were decent, I could replace them if I wanted, but they've got a decent amount of life in them still. They did advise I replace my front tires ASAP as they were dangerously worn out. I went to this location (West Linn) the next day and asked that they replace my 2 front tires and patch the back one with the leak. Mike told me all of my tires looked terrible. He said I needed to replace all of them and I could just "apply for financing." To be clear - I can afford it, but I was already told by another professional that it simply wasn't necessary, so I chose to skip it. Upon picking up my car, I was guilt tripped for "not even applying" and was told the back tire wasn't patched, apparently because I'll "need to come in again soon anyway." How disappointing! So now, I have 2 brand new tires and 2 decent tires, but I am still dealing with a tire pressure light and inevitably causing more damage by driving on a leaking tire just because they didn't want to fix it for me, even though another nearby location has assured me it's a quick patch fix and a new tire isn't necessary. I'll be swinging by after work to ask them to put some air in my tire so I can safely drive back to Happy Valley, where I can get it patched by more trustworthy staff. I'm sure each store makes commissions on sales and on financing applications, so I'll be sure to have all of my future services done in Happy Valley to credit them for their customer service and honesty. read more

I've been a loyal West Linn customer for 25 years, so it saddens me to leave this review. They've clearly lost their way. I took my Lexus in for a brake job, and after picking it up the car screeched like a train coming to a stop. They told me this was normal for the first week. After three weeks, they finally let me bring it back and decided different parts were needed to fix it. They kept my car for nearly a month. When I picked it up, the brake screeching was worse than before. The worst part was the manager telling me I should take it somewhere else to fix it. When I asked for a refund, he refused, saying they had already spent too much money diagnosing the issue. I never had this screeching problem until after they worked on my car. I would have been better off never bringing it in. They've lost all my business--if I'm going to get cheap service, I might as well go somewhere with cheaper prices. read more

I admit it, I am biased. The first time I pulled into Les Schwab with a flat tire, They came running out to help me, fixed my flat, and didn't even charge me a dime, despite the fact that the tire in question was another brand. Of course, I understand that this is their strategy, but it is a highly effective one - - I have been a faithful Les Schwab customer since that moment. I currently mainly use this shop in West Linn, simply because it is the most convenient one to my house. But this is where I buy my tires, often where I have brake work done, get snow chains if necessary, and all that good stuff. Love me some Les Schwab! This is the second 5 star experience that I have had at the West Linn Les Schwab! This time I discovered a huge screw in the tire of my horse trailer. I hustled down to drop it off for fear that it would be flat if I waited until the next day. When the work was complete they called and I went down to pick the trailer up. To my surprise, when I was checking out they said that they had removed the screw, it had not punctured the tire and there was NO CHARGE! More often than not I have not been charged for the service that I have received from Les Schwab in Lake Grove Oregon. Honest appraisals, careful work and fair prices!! Have to give les Schwab a bad review. Bought battery from this store 3 years ago , car needed few jump starts recently so asked them to check it and they said it's good so won't replace. Took car to dealer , dealer says car charging system is good but battery is dead. Lea Schwab tech still stuck to their guns, long story short, I spent $500 between two car shops getting car tested for parasitic leaks until another les Schwab shop finally agreed to replace battery with pro rated warranty. I was in a dire situation (car wasn't drivable) so gave in and got the les Schwab battery , but next time on, I will goto Costco. read more

The good people at West Linn Les Schwab really saved my day! I had been on the road for over an hour in stop and go traffic when my brake pads suddenly gave way to metal on metal grinding. Not only did it sound terrible the brakes were sticking, making it difficult to drive. I asked google for the nearest Les Schwab and was relieved there was one at the next exit. They got my car up right away and I had new brakes in 45 minutes. Regular driver complain of braking distance/time needed is slower/longer that normal. I drove 2005 compact SUV to Les S on 8th Ave in W.Linn. Brake guy (Brent S) inspected & did quik testdrive. We both said brakes seemed OK. Les S did NOT try to upsell at all. I told Brent S. I'd pay to bleed/flush brake fluid as not done for 40K miles (car-maker says to never replace just inspect!!) Once dissembled, Brent S discovered one of four rod/pistons was stuck, thus still braking but less so. His labor: fix stucked part, flush&install new fluid theuout, inspected all brakes (4 discs) & front end, and rotated tires. Overall, very satisfied that brakes 100% there for our grandbabies! Also, Brent S is to be commended (&payraise) for his patience with my frustrating questions and his teachings abt my brake dilemma. read more

This place is tucked in between old downtown West Linn and I always find the wait time to be less than across the river in Oregon City. Many times, it's still true to the commerical! You park and then run out to your car and ask you "what can they do for me today". We walk to the door and they open it and then proceed to the counter. The work I had done on my car was fine; however, the workers at this location were appalling. While waiting in line a customer made a joke about "being raped by tire prices", and I'm unsure if the Les Schwab rep was "I'm laughing to make the customer happy" or genuinely laughing at this rape joke, either way it was uncomfortable and unprofessional. In addition, when I went in back to be shown something on my car another, older, man asked me if "I had been driving my car in braille" completely and utterly unprofessional. Eddie, the person who worked on my car, I hope the name on the paperwork is right, was fine. He was completely professional and kind. His older coworkers need to learn some manners. Just because I'm a young woman does not mean you get to talk to me like that. read more

Okay, so I'm not a fan of Les Schwab because of a bad experience with a different store. But this location is close to work and I was having trouble with my brakes....to the point where I almost blew through a stop sign, so felt a bit at the mercy of the old saying, "location, location, location." My boss has been taking his vehicles here for years and had nothing but good to say about this store so I figured it was worth a shot. I drove over very slowly and dropped my car off. They quickly called with a diagnosis that was much less costly than I had anticipated. However, when I went back to pick it up they told me that they had mis-diagnosed the problem (and it was exactly as I suspected...a worn out master cylinder) but they weren't going to charge me for the work they had done that day knowing they were going to have to repeat it the next day when I brought the car back. Old Goldy is running like a champ now and stopping on a dime so for that I'm thankful. Though they may have misdiagnosed the problem originally, they made the situation right, charged me exactly what they quoted and were quick to get me in and out. The low tire pressure light popped up on my car a few Saturdays ago. One tire did look kind of low, so I figured it might have a leak. I drove up to Les Schwab and they waved me into the bay. I explained the situation and they checked the pressure on all the tires. Turns out, everything was just fine and it was probably just due to the temperature change (cool morning to hot afternoon). I asked how much and was told "no charge"! I really appreciate that no one tried to talk me into a service or product I didn't need - it was just friendly, professional, fast service. We were told our service would be "a couple of hours". After five hours of other people who came in the center after us were leaving with their task completed we asked what the delay was, we were told for another hour that we were the next in line. It became obvious that because our request for service didn't require a payment from us they intentionally placed other customers before us. We had purchased a full new set of all terrain tires the previous year, so I considered us paying customers. Wrong! My husband and I grew up in Central Oregon when Les Schwab began building his business and legacy. This tire center in West Linn will never represent that vision of Les Schwab. Came to the West Linn Les Schwab for a new battery. I bought a battery for the same car before and they had the battery I needed on file. They ended up putting too small of battery in and when I went to another les schwab, they said the price wasn't much different at all. So it feels like they gave me an inferior battery for the same price and even had the correct battery specs on file too while doing this. I feel slimed by you West Linn Les Schwab. Oh, I also had to pay $100 for a mechanic to tell me that the battery was too small. read more

Paid almost about $1000 for snow tires and rims and was told all i need to do is bring them in and they would put them on at no charge. Snow is coming so I bring car and tires w/rims in to have them put on (maybe a 15 minute job for them) at 3:30 as they close at 6 and am told sorry we aren't accepting any more jobs there is nothing we can do. I guess all those commercials they used to play about how they go above and beyond for their customers are a thing of the past and now its sorry we can't help you, but thanks for the $1000 you spent on our tires. Hi, I wanted to extend a big Thank You to the amazing team at the Les Schwab Tire Center in West Linn OR. In the past two weeks I've had to bring my car in for a tire repair. Two tires have had leaks and the tires are not that old, (purchased new in January 2022) from another dealer not Les Schwab. The customer service provided by the team has been outstanding, both times the repair service was provided for Free. That's Free no charge to me at all. I must admit I felt a bit guilty the second time kinda hoping they would bill me just a little so I wouldn't feel like I was taking advantage. But in today's world that we live in where everyone is charging through the roof on everything just to get bye it's sure nice to be so well taken care of. I wanted to give the service guy a tip but he said that can't accept tips so I thought a glowing yelp review would be just a good. Well Done team, you now have a customer for life. We have trusted Les Schwab for many years with all of our vehicles because they provide consistent, efficient, and quality service. The West Linn location is fairly new to us, and we are happy that they continue to meet the company guidelines of professionalism. One of the amazing things about Les Schwab is the complimentary services they provide: flat repair, battery charging, brake inspections, and on and on. Today, we brought in our truck for brake service due to an intermittent warning light. Truthfully, they could have taken our money and replaced the brakes per our request. Instead, they honestly told us that the brakes had plenty of room on them and advised us not to spend our money needlessly. Instead, they topped off the brake fluid and adjusted the emergency brake. AND, even though we wanted to pay, they changed us ZERO. I'm certain they know we will return when we need other services, due to this goodwill gesture. I have also had a BMW serviced here at this location, and they were also as honest as the day is long. I felt the pricing was fair and did not expect that BMW parts would be cheap. I note an unhappy customer or two here, but seriously, people! Fixing modern vehicles is expensive no matter where you go. Knowing that complex vehicles have complex components, I would rather spend my money at Les Schwab knowing that they have helped me save money in the past.
