I can't say I'm fully satisfied with my purchase or customer service. 2/3 phone calls made to inquire about the car were met with "meh, take it or leave it" energy. When I ended up deciding to purchase, my sales rep was cool and he did loan me a vehicle to pick up the check from my credit union, so that was nice, but I feel that was closer tied to closing the deal vs courtesy. As far as the vehicle I purchased goes, I had to bring the car back due to the battery being faulty and the car not starting multiple times. The manager seemed a bit irritated and felt as if he was rushing to get me back out the door once they replaced it. The vehicle also has a headlamp issue where the assembly needs to be replaced. I thought the issue was connected to the battery but apparently it wasn't. Called the manager and he kind of made it seem like I should be glad they even took care of the battery "for free", and couldn't do anything about it "other than look at it for free" since it's not connected to the power train. Buying used cars is always a gamble, but I kind of feel like at the price point I purchased at, I shouldn't have these issues. It'd also be appreciated to have a more considerate post purchase experience regarding the functionality of what they sell vs the indifference. read more

Isaac was very courteous but took me 3 separate attempts to get full out the door price (1 week lost). Their deposit policy is $1k refundable hold for 7 days. Upon asking if I could place a larger deposit to reserve the vehicle till my flight in for the test drive I was told: "You can do up to $5k on a debit or credit card. You can probably do around $2k a couple weeks before your arrival date." I agreed with his suggestion with my flight booked for 4 weeks away. When I reached out 2 weeks prior to my flight to place my deposit I was told the vehicle was sold by another salesperson. Seems like there is minimal communication between staff. In hindsight I should have just placed the larger deposit since it's refundable but I don't understand why a dealer would even recommend waiting to place a deposit if buyer is interested in placing. read more

Just horrible customer service honestly worst I have ever experienced everyone that I spoke to at this dealership sounded miserable and would just hang up on me despite the fact I'm trying to buy a car from them and make it as fast and easy as possible. Dealership also listed this car where it said it had no accidents until i asked to see the carfax and it showed it had a moderate accident. When I asked if they know how bad the accident was and what part of the car was hit I was told "idk if you want me to make up a story I can otherwise just accept that it has an accident" then I was hung up on. Keep in mind I had gone through every step besides signing the lease and picking up the car before I even found out there was an accident and then was hung up on. read more

I was ready to buy a car from this dealership. Their price was high (overpriced) but they agreed to lower it a little. We allowed them to pull our credit, I asked for the contract prior to paying the deposit. They didn't disclose their added on fees. (nor was this mentioned anywhere on cargurus) But be warned they charge $695 dealer prep fee + $300 in additional add on fees! I have never seen this high of dealer fee, and I am a former banker and have bought several cars, from different states. I live in California home of crazy fees, and we paid only $80 in fees here from the dealership. If you look at the contracts (pic posted), you can see this fee was essentially just added back to the CASH PRICE of the car. So be advised you will pay $695 more for the car than they are telling you. We just bought the exact car that was a year newer with less miles two months ago and paid $3,000 less than this car would have cost out the door. (Plus their interest was 25% higher, even though we have excellent credit) Since we felt this was unethical, we decided not complete this transaction. They also wanted the unsigned contract back, and claimed it was needed for "auditing" purposes. As a former banker never does a audit ask for unsigned forms from a uncompleted transaction. I am guessing they just want the evidence of their excessive fees back. Really disappointed in the whole process and outcome. I would not buy from them in the future. Huge waste of time. read more

This place is an absolute joke; sales, finance department, management, and their technicians. I made the mistake of purchasing a 2011 BMW 328i x-drive. Despite doing extensive research on the vehicle and taking it for a test drive, my fiancé and I discovered several issues with the vehicle the VERY NEXT DAY. Serpentine belt was damaged, oil change hadn't been done, software updates where never performed, a bent wheel, etc. These were interesting findings being that our sales associate had originally gloated about how all their vehicles are inspected and maintained by their technicians. Because i lived over 2hrs away, we decided to take the car to a local BMW dealership; especially since it still had the factory warranty. 3 days later... $900 worth of repairs were needed on the vehicle in addition to the purchase of a new wheel .. LUCKILY, the vehicle was still covered under factory warranty and all repairs were done by BMW CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS. I expressed my disappointment and findings with the original sales associate and management, their response, "just bring it in." I thought to myself, "Why in the world would i bring my vehicle in to an establishment that is all smoke and mirrors?" NO THANK YOU. In addition to all the ridiculous needed repairs, the vehicle tow cap piece was missing when i purchased the car and our sales associate promised to have the piece mailed to my home address. 2 weeks pass, no piece. After a quick phone call, the piece was finally mailed to me... BUT IT WAS THE WRONG COLOR. I requested that a new piece be mailed to me WITH A COPY OF THE BMW INVOICE, the sales person was extremely displeased with my request of a BMW invoice and become extremely defensive. I can go on and on about this place because there were several other issues, but do yourself a favor and purchase a vehicle from a certified pre-owed BMW dealership not these quack jobs. My experience with Auto Showcase of Carol Steam was great. My wife and I found the exact car we were looking for there. It was priced 1k less than other dealerships were asking. Miles had the car waiting for us when we arrived, and gave us the keys for a test drive. We drove off with our new car in under two hours. This surprised us, as the the last car I bought at a different dealer took 6 plus hours from start to finish. We where offered coffee while we waited for them to finalize the financing through wells fargo. My wife loves her new car. We will definitely look for our next car at Auto Showcase of Carol Stream. My wife and I just purchased a 2017 Audi A6 from Auto Showcase tonight. The car was for her. The experience went well until we had to complete the paperwork. After negotiating the price down $800, they snuck in a $695 "dealer prep fee". My fault I guess for not making a stink about it but she was really excited and I didn't want to ruin it for her. This is the nicest car she's ever had. This fee was never mentioned and is not listed any where on their website. I'm kind of suspicious if this actually is a fee they charge everyone, or if they tailor it to the negotiated price. As $695 to basically just wash a nearly brand new car seems excessive. We have purchased 7 vehicles from Auto Showcase in the last 7 years, and they have ranged from SUVs to luxury sedans to sports cars. Every one we have purchased has been an excellent car. We have never had any issues with them whatsoever. Which is why I am baffled as to where these negative reviews are coming from. The customer service is great and the entire staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about their inventory. The quality of the inventory is fantastic and there is a wide range of vehicles so chances are they are going to have what you are looking for. There cars are also priced very fair. In fact, one of the vehicles we bought from them we kept for a few months and sold it for 3K more than we paid for it! Also, I want to point out how great the Service center is there. Their techs are knowledgeable and won't try and tell you that something "has to be done" unless it really does. Not pushy at all, fair and honest. That's why we get all our cars serviced there; even the ones we didn't buy from Auto Showcase. All in all, Auto Showcase is a great place to buy cars and get service work performed. Our salesman is Mitch and he is great, but I have never heard a bad thing about the other salesmen. Whenever we go to shop for a car, Auto Showcase is our first stop. Bought a car from AutoShowcase Carol Stream online. I was completely disappointed with the condition of the car when it arrived. I quickly informed AutoShowcase of my disappointment through email and phone calls. The rust on the undercarriage was so bad that I will need to have the floor boards replaced. Took the car in for inspection and as soon as the service agent put it in the rack, one of the shocks blew. (All four shocks had to be replaced). The tires needed to be replaced, because the cracking was so bad it was a safety issue. The car required$1500 worth of repairs in the first 90 days and will require a minimum of another $500 to fix the floor boards. I bought the car on-line, which was my mistake. I would never have paid $9500 for this vehicle, if I had inspected it in person. However, I did ask about the condition of the vehicle in my initial conversations with dealer staff. I was reassured the car was in great shape. In the end, I asked the dealer for $2000 back and they gave me $750, but also made me sign an agreement that I would not come after them for more money. In the end I paid 8,750 for a car that I believe was probably worth $6000, at most. I've dropped another $1500 to in the last 90 days to make much needed repairs and make it safer to drive. A positive part of the experience with AutoShowcase Carol Stream was Mitch (the guy I ended up working with) the sales guy. He seemed responsive to my concerns and issues. My impression is that he did what he could to correct the situation. Unfortunately the car had been shipped from IL to me in Colorado, so I didn't have much leverage in getting money back. I've changed my rating from one star to two, but only because of the Customer Service I received from Mitch. Regardless, I will not buy another car from Auto Showcase of Carol Stream, IL. read more

Absolute joke. You know the saying "Don't trust a car salesperson?" I swear this location is where the saying originated from. When it comes to buying a vehicle, you want to purchase something that you are comfortable with and comfortable in. I had a drive of over an hour to their location. Called in, made sure we were still set with the appointment and that I was able to drive the vehicle. Was told yes. Upon arriving, the vehicle was in the showroom. Unable to be taken out for a drive. I was also told I'm not able to test drive the vehicle until I purchase it. Pause. "Can't test drive the vehicle until you purchase it" Let that logic sink in for a second. Aside from them wasting my time and gas, the sales-associate I dealt with is a complete laughing stock. He showed me the car and that's literally it. Didn't give any details. If anything I feel like I had to force a purchase by dissecting him with questions about the vehicle. Look's as if him and his co-worker weren't on the same page. One told me the car had 1 owner. The next told me the car had 2 owners....beyond sketchy. Personally, a place where you buy a car especially one with greater value should be a place you feel comfortable in. The nice cars in the showroom definitely do not overtake the uneasy feeling you get from the workers. read more
