Horrible service and product this shop!!! Never come to this dishonest shop!!! They installed a nonfunctional parking sensor to our Mercedes SUV and cost $850!!! We found it doesn't work after paying the bill so they asked us driving back in one week and tried to adjust it. The next weekend, my husband spent the whole afternoon staying there and they couldn't fix it so the sensor still doesn't work functionally!! And they said they were going to order another one but they never called us back!!!!! However, we tried to dispute the payment but it failed. Because my husband did pay the charge in person before realizing the sensor is a crap!!'Also, they lie about how crappy the sensor is to the credit card company and said it's just we aren't satisfied with the product!! I bought some illuminated door sills for my new Ford Fusion from the Ford Dealership. I called around to several Ford dealerships (Stealerships) and they quoted me $300 for installation. Although I am somewhat of a gearhead, I did not want to risk breaking a brand new car. I searched on Yelp and called around to car audio installation places since the installation work only required running wires from the map lights to the door sill through the A and B pillars. ASP came highly recommended and they were helpful on the phone when I scheduled my appointment. When I arrived on Saturday on time for my appointment, the shop had just opened up and the installers were not there yet. My wife and I had to wait a half hour for the installers to get there and for them to get gas for a car that was out of gas and blocking access to their garage. Thankfully we did not have anywhere we had to be. Vlad was very helpful and friendly and apologized for the delay as they had their company party the night before and people were trickling in. The front office person Nate was genuinely concerned that the staff were arriving late, checking outside for them and calling them since there were waiting customers. About an hour and a half later they called to say they were done. The installation job looked great, they put the stock parts back in my trunk, and the installation was less than half of what I would have paid at the stealership. They left some dark marks on my light colored headliner, as I am guessing their pry tools may have been dirty. Update: I am truly satisfied with the work done on my SUV. Ray was the tech scheduled to work on my SUV, and I tip my hat off to him. He did an amazing cleanup job. He took the sea of spaghetti wires and cleaned it all up. After the install he also diagnosed and was able to troubleshoot the issue with my headrest TV's and get them operable again. Anytime you need anything ask for Vlad and he'll point you in the right direction as to what work needs to be done without any of that unnecessary BS that I've received from working with other stereo shops. If your unable to catch up with Vlad you can also talk with Bo. Bo has industry knowledge and too, can assist in getting you the right service necessary. I just picked up up my car from them about an hour ago after having an amp, lc2i, and sub (and all the wiring bits that goes with it) installed. The sound improvement is like night and day, especially with my Audi's base sound system. (It's officially called Audi Sound System, and the it definitely deserves the acronym). There's finally some low end in the system, and it's tuned just right so the bass isn't overpowering or boomy, but adds a nice punch. Also, they don't try to upsell you on anything. I was asking whether I should go for a dual sub box instead of the single or maybe start looking at the next level up in sub sizing, and they told me that it wouldn't be necessary and wouldn't be the right fit for the car sound-wise. I drive a 1998 BMW 528i and while it's getting a few years on it, it still looks good, rides good and now it sounds good (again). When the front driver's side high end speakers went out, I was faced with the question of how much money to put into a car with a relatively low book value. I met with Vlad and Jason for an initial inspection, set an appointment for a few days later and within an hour, Jason not only got the high end speakers working again he also got the tweeters on some aftermarket coaxials I'd installed wired up. I finally had a day off to install my new Pioneer headunit but after taking the center console apart, I learned that the factory harness was actually removed when the previous owner of my car had the current, aftermarket unit installed. After seeing the Yelp ratings for Auto Sound Performance, I didn't hesitate to give them an opportunity to do business. I called for a quote and they told me I can swing by so they can see how much work needed to be done. When I got there, they told me what needed to be done, and they gave me the same price as what they quoted over the phone. They were actually able to do the job right then and there, and I was in and out in an hour as they estimated. ASP wanted to charge 18+ hrs of labor for what took a local shop less than 3 hrs to do (see picture in photo album of side by side comparison of estimates). They also grossly over charged for a flatbed tow costing $400.00!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had a car die out on me on side of 280 freeway in Palo Alto and had it towed on a flatbed for $125, ASP charged $400 for an IN-CITY tow. Not only did they grossly overcharge, but they were the ones who volunteered to tow it without disclosing tow fee. I also specifically asked for certain repairs to be made and without my consent, they went ahead and added on repairs I did NOT ask for. After receiving the gross over-estimate and additionally tacked on repairs, I decided not to go with them, this is when Andrew decided to charge me $400 for tow and $90/day storage, totaling over $1700! This is going to be a long review but I feel it's important to illustrate my entire unbiased experience here for anyone looking for an honest review. I used to go here way back when it was Auto Sport Performance, the customer service, prices and quality of work back then was really good. Haven't had the need to go back but fast forward to now and I see it's under new management. This place is a shell of it's former self. I called last weekend because one of the factory HIDs bulbs on my Lexus was going out and called to see if they had a replacement in stock, they did so I headed over. Front door was locked but they were in the garage, talked to them and they asked me to pull up to the front and they would be able to get to me soon. We waiting out front, and they all went in to eat. While waiting some dragon lady I assumed worked there asked us with and attitude what we were doing blocking the drive way, I let her know we were told to wait there. Eventually they asked me to pull into the garage and I spoke to the tech and he said it would take 10-15 mins to replace them. He did and asked me to go to the front desk to pay. Same dragon lady at the front desk, asked me again with attitude what I needed, I told her I just had my bulbs replaced and wanted to pay. She asked me how much was I quoted and I was never quoted ( I did my research and just the bulbs bulbs are anywhere from $40-$50 for the pair). She went to the garage to talk to I assume was the manager to find out how much and came back and told me $200. I knew that was way too much for parts and labor and asked her how much they were charging me for just parts, she replied "No idea" and made no effort to find out. Another worker asked if they installed the entire HID kit, I let him know it was just the replacement bulb as my car comes factory with HIDs. He went back to talk to the manager and he came back and quoted $120 for parts and $45 for labor. Still being charged double. I've seen the brand they gave me sell for $70 for a complete HID kit, this was just the bulbs and their posted hourly labor charge is $90, guy spent 10 mins at the most including smoke breaks. (That's another thing I noticed, they smoke inside the garage, while working on customer cars.) Dragon lady writes up the invoice and attempts to add it up, he tells her to add tax and she throws the pen down possibly frustrated at her own inability at simple arithmetic. This lady was a straight up cunt, I don't know if they're actually paying her to work there or she's just screwing one of the worker's there, either way she's not doing anyone any favors. It's partially my fault for not getting the quote before hand but I assumed I would be treated fairly. Lesson learned they would rather try and f over a customer once then treat them good and gain repeat business. And If ASP is reading this and want to steal my credit card info in retaliation for the bad review, feel free. It won't be hard to track since it's the only time I've used that card all year. read more

Unfortunately I cannot do zero stars because that is was this business equates to, a "ZERO". Terrible customer service and scammers. This is not the ASP of old. Where to start, hmmmm. All I wanted to do is find out the price on McGuard wheel locks for my new car. I looked it up on Amazon and they were round $30 with shipping. I figured I'm passing by this place on the way home, would be convenient if I can just buy them here if the price is similar. I walk in, two Caucasian guys come in from the garage. They see me and just keep talking, no acknowledgment. Finally one goes behind the desk and asks me what I need. I told him the locks I am looking for. He says he needs to look it up. He can't find the part on the computer. I gave him the exact part number but he said he can't find it. He told me to bring my car around to the garage, his tech needs to look at my lugs/bolts to be sure. I bring the car around and am standing there for around 15 minutes, techs no where to be seen. I hear a car peeling around the corner then going full throttle, screeching to a halt in front of the garage. It was the techs coming back from a "Test Drive" of some customer's car!!! If that ain't a red flag I don't know what else would be. I told the tech the exact product I needed. He brings over a socket wrench and takes off my center cap and FLINGS it to the side. Yes FLINGS, which I later realized he broke one of the clasps. He takes out a bolt and goes on with this BS about how they are bolt lugs, yada yada. I cut to the chase on how much. He said they had to special order as it is not a common part and with installation will be $125. What!!! I told him it is round $30 online and I can install it myself. He told me that I would be risking it trying to install them myself. I love how he tries to up-sell the justification of buying thru them. No Thanks and I left. Like the shark warning signs at the beach "DO NOT ENTER". read more

Ray installed the Dice Media Bridge, with Sirius hook up, and bluetooth microphone in my 2002 3-series. The system works flawlessly and uninterrupted Sirius reception. I love my stereo upgrade! Ray completed the install in about 2 hours as I waited in the showroom. The work was done back in June. For a fussy beemer owner like me, I was glad to see that the install is seamless. The 3-star rating is from the sales person that was watching the store. I had my install done on a weekend when Vlad was out of the office. The guy that watched the store was, bluntly, a complete jerk - not to me at least. He attended to both walk in and phone customers and showed decent customer service skills. Not the best, but decent. As soon as the person would leave the store or he'd hang up, he'd cuss or complain about them. At one point he tried to "level" with me by telling me the customer that came in was the stupidest person ever. In my career, I've never had a chance to provide customer service to the public. I can imagine how difficult it is dealing with customers and I truly admire folks that provide very good service. Having said this, this individual really needs to display at least half of a normal person's decency when around customers. Cussing and yelling around the office really puts this business in a bad light. It's unfortunate because Ray did such a great job at my install. I have heard of ASP before but I came across them again on Yelp while looking for a car shop. Reading some of the bad reviews I was reluctant but the good outweighed the bad so I decided to give it a shot. * I first took my car here for an oil change. It was quick and reasonably priced so I took my moms car there as well for her oil change. We now come here regularly for oil changes. * I took my moms car here for brake service. I noticed that they did have a few cars there being worked on but I dropped off the car anyway and came back in only a few hours to pick it up. Sweet! * An accident caused my moms side mirror to break off needing a replacement, so I came back to talk to Andrew with questions on choices and prices. He priced it out and I compared it to 2 other shops and they were the lowest. * Had a nail in my tire and took it here a month ago to have fixed. Stan fixed it up fast and replaced my spare with it and have not had a problem with it since. Reading these negative reviews below seems as if people may be expecting too much. I mean the most important things you want in a car shop is, good work, good price and knowledgeable workers who know what they are doing. I guess you can say I was a first time reluctant customer but now I guess you can call me a regular customer. Andrew even lets my son feed their impressive salt water fish tank. They are like my distant family members I see every 3 months or 3000 miles :) If they did not provide good service at a good price do you think I will still be going here? I have a BMW 745i and when I wanted to lower it, many shops told me it cant be done and its gonna cost a lot. These guys told me it will be done in a couple of hours and they will not have a problem, and guess what?!?!? they didnt charge me an arm and a leg!!! and NO PROBLEMS!!! I had my car tinted there and I also had HID foglights installed. I also see a bunch of high end vehicles at their shop all the time being worked on. So I wanted to be able to listen to my Ipod on our long drive to Omaha. First stop, Circuit City....boy, was that a mistake. They actually told me to go buy a part somewhere else and bring it to them so they could do the install. That's how I found these guys. The next day, I had a new Pioneer CD deck installed, everything worked fine, I loved it. I came home with my new toy and said something to my husband about wouldn't it be great to have GPS for our big 1600+ mile trip and to not get so lost after we moved...next day, I had a new Pioneer GPS and an anti-theft device to play with. We are on the road and loving it! The tuner can preprogram the strongest stations wherever we are, so my husband can keep up with Terry and the gang on NPR. Yeah, the Ipod...it is integrated into the system and now I have a reason to get a phone with bluetooth so we can do the voice control thing. For those not born with a mouse in their hand, we are doing our best to stave off technological senility. Vlad and his team will make sure you are satisfied and then some. read more

Drew came highly recommended by my service manager Dean at Serramonte Lexus, he was the one got me a new Work Equip replacement wheel from Japan when I damaged my previous Lexus. So now that I have a new set of 20'' wheels for my new ride, naturally I turned to Drew again for installation. His price was very fair considering I've contacted over 10 wheel shops around bay area, and I was able to get an appointment during the same week. The shop could be little hard to find and the parking is the small alleyway next to shop. The whole process took about an hour, and I was seated comfortably on the couch they provided. They also had free wifi so the waiting was a breeze with an iPad on my hand. Tires were mounted perfectly without a scratch and I came out a happy customer once again. This place was recommended to me by a friend. During the whole process with repairs and insurance drama they had been very helpful and informative. One of the partners of the shop Drew is particularly experienced and knowledgeable about the mechanics of the repairs, the parts and ordering parts, as well as insurance compliance etc. I now no longer drive that vehicle because I've moved on to the different car, but nonetheless i still trust my car with this shop. I am still a customer and whenever i have any issues this is the first place i would go to. I would recommend this shop to my parents, friends,and anyone who has any questions about their car or even anyone who wants to add other accessories to their cars. Came here cause it had the best reviews in Yelp for stereo installations and I'm glad I trusted yelp this time around. I came in two days prior for estimates and made an appointment with them. Vlad was the guy who helped me, very friendly and professional about his job. Once my car was in the garage I just played the waiting game. They have a French bulldog you can play with while you wait. Vlad told me it would take about 2 hours to finish, but it ended up being almost 4. I had a complicated setup so I didn't mind. Don't let that scare you away though, I'm sure if you have a more simple setup compared to what I had, it shouldn't take no more than 45 minutes. Overall, I highly recommend ASP. I'll just start off by saying these guys rock! I have a 2015 Subaru Forester XT and had ASP install the top of the line Pioneer NAV (AVIC-8000NEX) for me. Because the car was so new there was very little known info about the install. Adding to the complexity of the install, the Forester has a built in mini-display on the dash that is used for the backup camera (which is way too small to see) that I asked Vlad to see if he can mirror with the NAV's larger screen. After seeing everything torn apart, I jokingly asked them if they were going to be able to "put Humpty Dumpty back together again?" After lot's of research on the Subaru forums these guys were able to flawlessly install my system exactly how I wanted it. Now my ride has front and rear cameras displays that mirror in reverse and the bluetooth mic is hidden where the stock one was. To top things off, ASP gave me the best price in town.
