I bought these awesome switchback LED lights for my turn signals. I couldn't install them myself (trust me, I tried) so I called a few shops and talked to Lightwurks who said to just stop by on Sat. Luckily Andrew was able to take care of it for me. I dropped it off around 12 or 1pm and I came back around 4pm and it was done. Basically they tapped my driving lights' power and installed resistors too. I was really pleased with the install and they didn't charge me an arm and a leg. In fact it was right at the bottom of the price range that I was quoted when I called a few other shops. I'll definitely be back and what's awesome is that it's very close to my GF's house. I'm not sure what I'm going to do next on my car but I'll definitely price check product and install with ASP. read more

He informed me to turn it into Alpine since I'm still under warranty, but he also enlightened me how I can still use my iPod's USB setting to play my iPod in even better quality. We were on the road when we had some issues with our electrical system. We stopped by Auto Sound Performance and they spent an hour with us trying to determine the problem. They were extremely nice and very good at what they do. It was going to take longer than we wanted to stay in Town to fix the problem so they educated us on what we needed to do to be able to stay on the road. After all that time they didn't charge us anything. These guys are the last of the good guys in the auto repair business. I wish they were in my home town. I came across ASP (auto sound and performance) after my little brother messed up the motor on his Acura RSX... I had been getting engine repair quotes from all over the Bay Area when a friend of a friend suggested ASP to me. I was told they were recently under new ownership and were doing everything from stereo installs to total engine overhauls... I was referred directly to Vlad and Andrew and called simply for some advice on what to do... Andrew suggested that instead of a rebuild maybe a used (better condition) engine would be cheaper and easier to acquire... I asked for some quotes and comparisons and in a day Vlad called me back with quotes on engine rebuilds and some engine replacements. Lets just say the prices were far cheaper than those of some other reputable shops I had went to in the past!!! After talking it over with my younger brother I decided to give ASP a shot and called them back to arrange a time to bring in the car... since the engine was pretty much done we weren't able to drive it so Vlad even arranged to tow the vehicle from our house to ASP. The process took about a week or so from the time I started to talk to them to the time they called me to pick up the vehicle... This included finding the parts necessary to repalce/repair the car and all the labor... Overall we are very satisfied after dealing with ASP, they made a nightmarish situation go away fairly easily not only because of price but because of service... Quality work for a decent price!!! EDIT I went back there for 4 tires on my car just this past month!!! Cheap prices on tires!!! Gave me some options of name brands and cheaper tires... Mounted and balanced on the spot with an appointment. Also got an IPOD integration for my car so the IPOD now plays directly through my factory stereo!!! no modifying at all!!! read more

My brand new Mercedes-Benz CLA needed parking sensors to be installed. Nick, Ray and Vlad were awesome to work with. I ordered the 8 sensor system - 4 on front bumper and 4 on rear bumper. After the installation was done, Nick found that 4 sensors weren't enough for the front so I left the car overnight there. They installed 2 more sensors to the front without any additional charge! This was a labor intensive job for sure. These guys are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing. Nick's customer service skill was also great. Just realized that the beeping sound is a little too loud on the sensor buzzer so I gave Nick a call today. Going there next week to get it adjusted. ASP will go beyond to help their customers! Do not go here. I went here to get a bulb change for my bmw they end up over charging me 260 and took my whole bumper off while working on my car on the side of the street. Went in at 1130 picked up car at 630 then to find out they didn't put my bumper on straight had to go back and when they took off bumper to fix it was still crooked and they scratched the side of my fenders close to corner light. So after a few months the performance of my equipment is still as it should be however the disassembly of sections of my interior required for installation was apparently pretty extensive and I'm not happy about how it was reassembled. If the interior panel clips break when you remove the panel, replace them or give me the opportunity to pay to have them replaced. Since installation Ive had several screws fall out from stripped sockets and an unrelenting rattling caused from broken panel clips that werent replaced. In hindsight I regret paying so much. My previous review was meant to be sarcastic obviously. read more

Well, well, well. All these 5-star reviews seem rather meaningless after the experience I had here last week. Short version: I ended up going to Best Buy, bought an Alpine and had it installed the next morning by the Geek Squad. All done within a 24-hour period of leaving ASP. BB/GS provided a flawless, quick and professional service all the way around (a review on this experience will be forthcoming, and I highly suggest checking this option out before even bother to contact or visit ASP). Long version: Spanky B's 1-star review of this place was very much like my personal experience there, and yes, the place is a mess. I arrived and had to ask everyone there "Excuse me, do you work here?". FInally an employee said he did, and would be with me in a couple of minutes. About 10-15 minutes later, he's finally available to ask how he could help me. I wanted to get an iPod connection into my OEM stereo and inquired about my options. As he went to check on the computer in the main room, it took him about a minute to tell me that my options were both via a FM hookup, totally unacceptable as it does not meet my needs. I asked him what head units he had in stock that would work in my car and was rudely interrupted by an older gentleman who came in, came right up to the counter and began speaking in Russian to the guy that was helping me. For the next 10 minutes, I was completely ignored as this conversation went on right in front of me. Not even an "excuse me" or "pardon me", much less any type of apology. After the 10 minutes, he walks out the front door with this other guy and says "I'll be right back". Well, well, well. Guess what? I won't. Ever. read more

The good: Great bunch of guys. Good customer service. Now.. The bad: Let me stat by saying that these are a good bunch of young guys working there. The problem is that it's a very unprofessional set up. The place has a ratio of 50/50 of customers and friends hanging out at the store. If you have an older car and not a expensive new car, than this is a good place to go. If you want a high quality and professional install on your new car ($50,000+) than I would suggest you go somewhere else. I took my BMW to a schedule install and to my surprise the work was done out in front of the store in the street! Also, they parked my vechicle tight between two cars while one of the techs worked on it. One of the car had to leave and it had to do a bump and grind on my bumper to get out! To add insult to injury, that car belonged to a friend of one of the workers at the shop. He just happen to be "hanging out" and had to leave. They do have a garage to do installs, but it seems it was used as a garage for their own cars or their friends. There was actually an PG&E service truck parked in the install garage area for the entire day! I believe they do good quality work and know what they are doing, but the manner that the work is done is very inefficient. Even though it was small, there was a definite scratch left on my dashboard from the install process. This place would be perfect. Great crew, lots of knowledge but they do not put care in way they handle their customer's car. First, do all your work in the garage install area. Second, this is a work area, don't let friends "hang out." And third, take as much care into protecting your customer's car from damage as you would in installing a stereo. There is potential here, they just have to up their game if the want move their business to the next level. Unfortunately, I will not be going back or telling my friends to go here. read more

I tried to talk him down the amount, especially since additional parts that I didn't purchase on my own were required but he insisted. Absolutely awesome. I've been pretty happy with my stock Toyota stereo, but I finally decided I wanted some navigation and bluetooth capability and was referred here by my friends at Dan Perata Training (see my review). These guys walked me through my options and because I'm a true Gen-Xer 90s girl I wanted a CD player (every once in a while I like to bust out my old Smiths CDs and sing loudly while barreling down the freeway), so they ended up guiding me to a cool Pioneer. Installation took an afternoon and included a tutorial on my newfangled contraption and I was rolling back home listening to Pandora in no time. Couldn't be happier!!! I first came here just to check it out and shop for prices for an HID KIT for my IS250. I was surprised to find out that their prices are just as competitive if you buy them online plus shipping. I was going to install them myself but for the price they would charge for installation with 1 year warranty was too good to pass up. I felt I was treated like I was VIP. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted and asked how I could be helped. I have to say that their workmanship is top notch and clean. Vlad and Jason really takes care of their customers and goes out of their way just to make sure each customer is satisfied. With that great experience, I've decided to come back for some LED's for my IS. I've purchased a few sets for my interior, parking lights, vanity, dome lights, reverse lights, etc. And the quality of their merchandise is very good! Also, there was a set that I wasn't too thrilled about and wanted something different. I took them back and told them my problem and they had no problem exchanging them for the ones I wanted. That alone says alot about how they value customer satisfaction. Most places won't even exchange them, you would have to buy a new set. They are very knowledgeable and won't screw you over just to make profit. Here is why, I've asked them numerous times that I want HID for my High Beams. Many other shops would just say yes, especially if the customer is willing to pay. But they steered me away from it because it will just be a waste of money. I'm better off sticking with OEM halogen. They said because the high beams are rarely used and if used, they are only on for few seconds. Since HID's need time to warm up to reach their full light output, it would be useless. Now this is why I've given these guys 5 stars. After about a month or so of having my HID's that I got from them. I was not too happy about the light output. I was just going to buy new 55w ballasts to replace the 35w ballasts mine came with. I inquired about the prices and explained to him the situation. And to my surprise Vlad told me to just come by and he will swap/exchange them for me for no charge!!! How amazing is that?!? Now that's what I call customer service!!! If you want quality merchandise and workmanship topped off by great customer service, then this is the place to go!!! I will surely be a repeat customer and will recommend them to everyone I know. read more
