I bought a car from Auto Union in May. I have had back to back issues with it. Clearly vehicles are not fully inspected.

My initial experiences with them started out favorably- I needed a radiator replaced on my truck…read moreand they had it done in about a week. However, the water pump started leaking, and I took it back to Cartime to have it replaced- that's when the problems really started. I went through a colossal ping-pong game with them to get the water pump replaced, and it still never happened. The owner claimed he was ordering the part and lied about it- first he said he was buying it online, then he said he was getting it at a local parts store. Nearly two weeks elapsed before he even claimed to have the part-and I still don't know if he was telling the truth. I insisted on paying him for the work that had been done on it in diagnosing the water pump problem. The owner said it would be $150 and he only took cash- a huge red flag. When I asked for a receipt after paying that amount, he said he would text it to me on my phone. That never happened. The hours they post were not accurate; they would close early and were frequently unavailable for me to check on the status of my truck. When I'd call their number, it would just ring- no voicemail, no return calls. Nothing. All in all, they held my truck for nearly a month and never did anything to it. There was always an excuse- their mechanic didn't show up to work, their garage didn't have adequate heating, always something. Then, the owner has the gall to post a rebuttal on social media saying he didn't charge me for the time my vehicle was on his lot- even though it was there due to his own incompetence. And he also made it out as if he were doing me a favor by not charging me for the antifreeze that was put in my vehicle- even though I paid him $150. Their ethical conduct andcustomer service is beyond horrible-PLEASE pick any auto mechanic shop other than this one if you're in the Lebanon area.

If you're going to schedule customers, you should actually be prepared to help them when they show up. Instead, I left frustrated, inconvenienced, and feeling like my time didn't matter at all. Using Car Gurus (I live in Denver, CO), I found my car at Next Ride Auto Sales. A bit worried I don't have any friendlies near Nashville that could stop by and "put eyes on it", I called and spoke to Eddie and from that moment on I couldn't have been happier with my decision to buy the car. Every detail he told me about the car was correct, up to the minor scrapes on the inside of the front passenger wheel well which for me weren't even worth knowing about. Eddie was always available to me, answering every question I asked him and even picked me up at the airport when I flew in to buy the car. Lots of people who sell cars out there, but the ones you can trust implicitly and with 100% confidence are few and far between. Even on my ride home when it started to rain and I noticed an issue with the wiper blades (and was planning to address it myself), I get a call from Eddie checking in on my progress with my drive across country, and before I could say a word he told me he remembered he didn't get to the wiper blades, it was his bad and told me to stop anywhere and get it addressed and he would PayPal me the money. If you need a car, get it from Eddie. These guys are the absolute best!

Great deal and no-pressure sales!…read more Drove from West Nashville and was definitely worth the drive. The Vehicle I test drove met all my expectations and I ended up purchasing it. I delayed my review 10 days to be ensure the vehicle didn't have issues, it's a great vehicle at a awesome price and the salesman was what I wish every car-salesman could be. Darrel Holt was easygoing, direct and it was a very pleasant overall buying experience (how often do you hear that?). Very happy with the vehicle and the buying experience. I will definitely go back to 231 for my next vehicle purchase.

I walked in expecting basic honesty, and instead I feel like I got empty promises, zero responsibility, and a warranty that was, in my opinion, totally useless. I bought a 2017 Jeep Wrangler, and the problems hit almost immediately. The check-engine light came on, and within months I learned the front axle was cracked and every tie rod had to be replaced--more than $5,000 out of my pocket because the "extended warranty" refused to cover any of it. A few months later, the oil pump failed, then the transmission failed. Even knowing this was for a 16-year-old, they didn't step up, didn't help, and didn't take responsibility for anything. Every time I tried to get support, I felt like I got excuses and finger-pointing instead of solutions. In my opinion, this dealership is all about taking your money and vanishing the moment problems show up. Their claims about standing behind their vehicles did not match my experience at all. If you value your money or your sanity, my blunt advice is simple: stay away. Don't stop, don't think twice--just keep driving right past them. I would never want anyone to go through what I did.

Defective Van; Refused to Honor Warranty…read more I purchased a 2015 Dodge ProMaster from Wholesale Inc for ~$31,116.76 on March 30, 2019. I was given a 30 day warranty on the van. The van was defective. While traveling for 60 minutes on the interstate, the van lost power and had a max of 30mph. Multiple check engine lights appeared on the dashboard. On April 22, 2019 at 10:06am, I texted Breanne Carver of Wholesale Inc that the van was defective. Her response was to make a claim on the Wholesale INC 30 day warranty, but they do not fix anything on site. She advised me to take the van into the Dodge Dealership to start the warranty process. I did. The van has been in the shop since April 22 (103 days and counting). On June 18 at 3:37pm, I texted Breanne Carver to make a claim on the warranty. She did not respond. On June 18 at 4:31pm, I texted Jamie Sniderhan to make a claim on the warranty. He denied my claim. I reminded him that I started the claim with Wholesale Inc within the 30 day warranty. He has not responded. I want them to honor their warranty and correct the damages that they have inflicted. I want to be made whole as if we never did business together; specifically, remove 5 hard inquiries from my Equifax credit score. Buyback the van from me, paying off the loan to the bank that financed it. Reimburse me the interest and payments made on the van.

I could stop there, but let's not…read more I had believed that the price was fair for this car UNTIL (see the photo) the list of repairs needed was sent to me. Asking questions, especially on vintage cars is the only thing one can do remotely. Remember, 6-hour drive to get there. Those pesky questions revealed a car in piss-poor-shape, not pristine. I had made plans to visit and look over the car. No promises were made to purchase, but based on the information I knew at the time, it looked right to buy. So, I reserved a trailer close to the shop in the event I'd buy the car and I'd have it ready to move the car. Funds were made ready, so as not to delay the purchase. That's called consideration. The hotel was reserved because in either event I buy or walk away, I needed to stay the night. The "rug being pulled" was the sudden pulling the car off market. It'd been there available months, listed on eBay and now it's off market. Why? To get the list if repairs done. That's great, who can complain about that unless one had an appointment scheduled to see the car. Which I did. Oh, and you had months to get the car in the shop to repair. Be proactive and not reactive. I don't know what world these people live in, but when a business is "by appointment only" they should either not confirm the appointment if the car is not ready to show or honor the time they have set. I don't know how anyone else feels, but reserving a trailer, filling out all the info, supplying the ID requirements, speaking to the rental place on the phone is time consuming and not time well spent. Making a hotel reservation and planning the route (I-40 was closed at the TN border) also takes time. The transfer of banks funds to be prepared. Then to cancel after all that effort. Yeah, Jeff pissed me off. The lack of consideration for anyone other than himself is appalling. If answers take time, then you get back to the customer and simply state, "we are STILL working on it", verses crickets. How the hell do I know you're actually doing something when it's been days since you've said you'd get back to me. Overall, I was very patient. Even Jeff thanked me for being patient as he had duties to perform at his church. Well, there comes a time when being patient ends. Call me old fashioned or vintage, because I believe in great service, having consideration for others and honesty make a sale. All I need to do is show up and make a decision. The rest is on the seller to make the sale. This business failed on at least two of these beliefs, consistently.
