This location sits directly beside an Auto Zone, but since Advance Auto advertises the free battery testing and replacement services, I choose Advance. The associate was incredibly helpful and attentive. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how he talked around the core fee and how it works. You know how you catch someone in a lie and they take detours instead of providing a straight answer? He was honest but very indirect about it. The math on the screen told me everything I needed to know. The core refund is just a wash, not a discount on the price of the battery, i.e., they added $22 to the price of the battery and then took the $22 off. Anyways, he replaced the battery very quickly and we were promptly on our way. As easy as it is to change a battery, I still hope they never stop offering this gratis service.

They had a battery in stock and I agreed to purchase. The young man was about to replace ; however a store manager would not allow him to replace. Her excuse was that due to the year and model of the vehicle that they could not replace it. It had been replaced by an Advance Auto Store employee in the past. I refused to due business there and went to another Advance Auto Parts location were it was changed without any issues. I arrived just after opening time around 8:30am, needing the parts I was assured they'd have.... well they didn't, BUT Parker (the clerk helping me) requested the required 8 pieces from another of their locations (I assumed). It took the full relayed 3hrs for them to arrive and they were worth the wait. $10 & change vice the $26 & change the BMW dealership quoted! By far the WORST Junkyard I have EVER been to. I enjoy trips to the local yards but I couldn't wait…read moreto leave this terrible place. Upon arriving you walk into a little trailer, where there were 3 young girls (not hot btw), that offered no assistance, and all seemed to just completely hate their jobs and know nothing about cars. Pay your 2 dollars and your in. The website claims they have 1200 cars onsite, this is complete and utter lie, there may be 200 max, and along the treeline is stacks of crushed cars. Are they counting the mountain of already processed/crushed cars as available parts cars? I don't know but still not even close to the claimed 1200. Over half of the cars are sitting flat in the dirt! Not set up on welded spares wheels, so if any of those cars you need suspension parts, transmission, diff, or access to anything under the car it isn't possible, and they won't pick it up, move it, or pull the part for you. What is the mindset behind this??? The cars in NO sort of ORDER What-so-ever! Every yard I have ever been to has some sort of field order, They are placed in designated sections of some sort like Imports, Domestic, Ford, Honda, Trucks, Vans, etc... This place, NOTHING, you have to walk the entire yard to see what they have! Luckily you can walk this entire dump with essentially no stock in about 4 minutes. You'll see a Saturn beside a Van, beside a Boat, beside an Oldsmobile. Makes no sense. The selection of cars is the worst I have ever seen. I needed some 98-2011 ranger and explorer parts. there were 3 squarebody rangers there from the early 80's, and that is it? Seriously? I suppose the other good junk yards buy all the usable cars and Pop's only gets the leftovers that no other yards wanted to buy. The ford ranger sold 100's of millions how in the heck does a junk yard not not have a single one, NOT 1???? I have been going to ChesterfieldAutoParts (CAP), my whole life, and they never have any less than a dozen rangers and a few dozen explorers. I did see a dozen Saturns. Who the heck still has a saturn let alone fixes those piles of junk. The plastic body panels explode into shattered bits in anytype of accident and they all just get totaled never fixed. Google pictures of saturn accidents, they are hilarious. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME going to POP's, what a waste of my time. They should just close the doors now and stop embarrassing themselves.
