I have been going to this shop for years, but I hadn't had service done during COVID until now and didn't realize that the business is anti-mask. They have a sign up reflecting this and Robert Drake was not wearing a mask. I've included a pic below of an erroneous statement (making the social media rounds) posted in Autobahn. A quick fact check reveals: An image circulating on social media erroneously claims that the total number of deaths in the U.S. in 2020 was significantly down compared to previous years. The meme -- which implies COVID-19 restrictions weren't needed -- actually uses an incomplete figure for 2020 and makes a flawed comparison. A report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has estimated that from late January through Oct. 3, there were an estimated 299,028 excess deaths -- meaning deaths higher than what would be expected during that time period, based on previous years. Two-thirds were estimated to be directly attributed to COVID-19. But a popular post shared on Instagram and Facebook is erroneously claiming that the total number of deaths was actually down, significantly, in 2020 compared to years past. "The Stats - Why We've All Had Our Lives Stolen From Us in 2020," the meme is headlined. It then lists "US Deaths Per Year" from 2015 through 2019, and compares those figures to a figure for 2020 (as of Nov. 16) to suggest total deaths are actually down this year. On Instagram, the post was shared with a caption suggesting that the media has misled on the COVID-19 pandemic. But it's the meme that's misleading by using an incomplete figure for 2020 to make its claim, as well as an erroneous number for 2019. It is incredibly disappointing that a business would show this lack of concern about the well-being of its customers. Facts are facts. Lives are saved by wearing masks. I have three previously healthy family members (one in her 20's - a nurse, one in her 40's, and one in her 60's) who suffered through COVID and now have permanent lung damage. Even if a person recovers, the long-term effects of this illness are nothing to take lightly. And the long-term effects aren't just lung-related - other organs, including the brain, can be damaged as well. Any reasonable precaution that we as a society can take to avoid spreading this nasty illness should be taken. The nurse relative referenced above is exhausted by all of the folks who come through the hospital with COVID who die refusing to believe they have the illness - it's always something else, they say - bronchitis, pneumonia, whatever. The denial wears her out. The most American thing we can do is stand united against this illness and wear a mask.

Robert was able to diagnose the problem, physically showed me the issues, and sent before and after photos.

Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.

I ended up needing more work done and while it was expensive as cars are it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gia the manager was also just pleasant to talk to and very communicative overall. She even offered to let me come around the desk to type in my credit card number for privacy which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. Overall my experience was great and my car feels better! He said he could break it and replace it. BUT he said the tire was fine. I told them it goes flat. He then said he saw a small hole. I asked if they could patch it. He said yes for $10. So that's what I did. I paid & came out. I asked if the other guy had tightened the lug nuts that he had loosened because he was now working on another car. The other guy said yes & that I was good to go. I had been driving my other vehicle but decided to drive my car for my work commute. I felt like something was wrong. My car started shaking uncontrollably. I pulled over twice on a little highway. The 3rd time, I was too scared to continue. I called a tow truck. Had it towed to my mechanic. The tow truck driver looked at it, along with my mechanic. I was missing 2 lug nuts and the others were loose. MY FREAKING TIRE WAS COMING OFF!!!!! The outcome could have been terrible. Blue Flame didn't tighten them. A tire and rim coming off on a highway could have been catastrophic. Needless to say $354 later, I got it fixed. Which could have been avoided if they would have done it right. BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE! IN & OUT TO MAKE A QUICK DOLLAR!!!

Side glances between mechanics I saw when they got another victim to try and make me pay $25 cash to just take my tire off with a special key. I just had roadside service no one asked for a special key and they wanted me to pay it in cash not in the office. The manager I spoke to later was as helpful as a hole in a parachute. Run, run far away from this business. They are not trustable.
