I had been a Porsche Burlingame customer for nearly 20 years, purchasing several vehicles from the dealership and having many of my Porsches serviced there over the years. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me disappointed enough that I ultimately ordered my new 911 Carrera elsewhere. I recently looked at a used 911 Carrera they had advertised for $116,000. I spent about an hour and a half at the dealership inspecting the car and working with salesperson Michael Chang. Michael was professional and spent considerable time with me. I made what I believed was a very reasonable offer of $113,000 plus tax and fees -- just $3,000 below their asking price -- and was prepared to purchase the car. Management declined the offer and didn't make a counteroffer or any apparent effort to bridge the relatively small difference. What surprised me even more was seeing the advertised price subsequently increased from $116,000 to $120,000. Every dealership has the right to price its cars however it chooses, and I certainly don't expect special treatment. But after nearly two decades as a customer, multiple vehicle purchases and years of servicing my Porsches there, I expected there would at least be some effort to put a deal together. There wasn't. For me, the disappointing part wasn't the $3,000. It was realizing that a nearly 20-year customer relationship apparently carried very little weight when it came time to make a deal. read more

I'm sharing this because it's happened more than once and the pattern is concerning. Two years ago, my car was stolen shortly after being serviced here. Recently, just two days after another service visit, my car was again targeted for theft , this time the attempt was unsuccessful. Same day my credit card was also used fraudulently. It was the same card used at the dealership. I'm not making accusations, but the timing and repetition are alarming. Customers should be aware and take precautions after servicing their vehicles. What started off as a decent purchase of a CPO Porsche at Porsche Burlingame turned out to be a pretty poor experience marred by a sales and business office team that doesn't stay accountable to customers. It's now 7 days from the expiry of my CA temporary registration and tags ie almost 3 months since the purchase date, and I've still yet to get any info on when I will get my new registration and plates, nor when the title will come in. I've been given the runaround by Porsche Burlingame for the past almost 3 months, with the business office and sales team telling me that they don't yet have the title from the previous owner and are just waiting on him to get the title processed at the Nevada DMV (apparently because he hadn't). No timeline on when I'd get it, no follow-ups from Porsche Burlingame ever regarding my situation. Always me doing the asking, and only sometimes getting a vague reply, if I can reach someone. If Linda Wong from Porsche Burlingame's business office (handling DMV stuff) is representative of how the dealership works, then I'd suggest you take your business to the other Porsche dealerships in the Bay Area. Just before Linda Wong hung up on me over the phone today, she told me that she hadn't replied to my email asking about the registration expiry because she was hoping to get the title stuff settled so that she wouldn't have to explain stuff around registration expiry. She literally ignored my email and concerns because she couldn't be bothered to explain the situation. She then hung up on me after I asked why she had to do that. This just caps the runaround and lack of transparency and accountability that I've been experiencing from Porsche Burlingame since purchasing the car. I won't throw him under the bus, but my Sales Advisor was also a lot easier to reach when I was looking to buy the car than he is now, which is a tad disappointing. I was hoping that he was a real one. At this point, I still don't have any information on when I'll get my registration and plates, nor how my registration expiry/extension will be handled. I've already paid all requisite dealer and DMV fees 3 months ago, yet I'm left hanging and wondering what's going to happen. Service Department review - Took my 991.1 in because there was a loud grinding noise coming from the PDK. There was obviously something wrong with the PDK, however, I paid for them to tell me that the sound was normal after keeping my car there overnight.... Anyone hearing the sound would have been able to tell you it is definitely not normal. Anyways, after paying them to tell me that the sound was normal, I took it over to Porsche Stevens Creek when I had the time and was told the PDK needed to be replaced because metal shavings were found in the PDK fluid from a possible synchros failure. This place is complete garbage so save yourself some time and trouble by not going here and by finding a competent dealer or an Indy shop that specializes in Porsche's. read more

Quan took me through the whole Fidelity contract and made sure I understood what I was buying and even offered a complimentary service inspection before I bought the warranty. This review is concerning Porsche Burlingame, but more specifically, the salesman Cesar Caceres. Cesar was one of the most unprofessional salesman I've ever had to deal with. I made an appointment to come up from San Jose to test one of the vehicles, which Cesar was well aware of, only to be told after driving an hour that there are no test drives without agreeing to a sale before hand. At no time was this mentioned before I drove all the way up there and wasted 2 hours of my time. Cesar could have mentioned this in one of the many emails exchanged, but he decided his time was more valuable than mine, and didn't even bother. If I am going to spend $100k+, you better believe I want to try the vehicle out before signing anything. I ordered some Porsche Merchandise on line at Porsche.com and thought it would be like any other online order but sadly it was not. 7 weeks after I placed my order with no word on delivery I call the number on my Paypal receipt and turns out I have to engage with my local dealership to get my stuff. I ordered a hoodie ($150) and a baseball cap ($45)...The parts department of this Audi dealership tells me he have the baseball cap but hoodie is on back order. Would have been nice to learn this 8 weeks ago. Even though the shipping was $28 I asked if I could come and get the hat and wait for them to deliver with hoodie he said fine come down. I drove all the way down from SF to Burlingame as planned and while there were several people in the parts dept, the only person who can hand me a hat is out and I would have to wait for him to return. I thought by ordering this merchandise online I would avoid dealing with unreliable people but unfortunately that is not that case. I just bought this Porsche in Palm Springs but I will be servicing it in Marin since Rector Motors is obviously unreliable and no one there cares about wasting your time. read more

Brought my 911 in for a recall and it went smoothly. Chris was nice and communicative and it was a pleasant experience. My review is going to be based on their complimentary multi-point inspection that they "did". Basically everything was green and it all looks good so I thought my car was in great shape. Saw one of my dash screen was changed to the G-force view so I swapped it back to my map view. That's when I came across the TPMS and the readings were 24 in front, 51 & 36 in the rear. The paper they gave me read 34 front, 37 rear. Now I have no faith that they actually checked anything including my battery health, which I had gotten a low battery notification last week through Bouncie. It also stated my tire treads were evenly worn at 8/32" when they were at least half work already. I've always had the suspicion that dealerships don't actually perform the "150 point inspection" or whatever multipoint inspection for car sales. This really just confirmed it. read more

The service department is okay. They changed it so now you have to be there super early for the loaner car, latest is 7:45am according to the rep today. As a Porsche owner they usually they try to pawn off an Audi first and you have to ask for another Porsche which is annoying. It doesn't matter if you're the first person there in my experience. I've brought my car in 4 times for the same factory sensor and they cannot fix it so it just chimes all the time with low tire pressure even though the pressure is perfect. Oh well, I'm looking forward to switching to a nicer car maker later this year. read more

They never make you feel that you have to buy a car from them( worst experience when it comes to shopping for a car since it's a pretty big financial decision and I hate pushy salesman) Nedal here is amazing, he is very knowledgeable on all the products here they have.
