Dennis at Auto Body Spa had my car at the shop for over a week, refused to work on it, saying he needed documentation from my insurance company; even though my claim was already approved. I told him if it goes over I will simply pay the difference. He harassed me with long phone calls everyday while I was trying to work. THEN AFTER 10 DAYS, CALLES ME AND SAYS HE IS NOT GOING TO FIX IT AND I NEED TO COME PICK IT UP. THREATENING TO CHARGE ME FOR STORAGE of the vehicle; I said, I hoped you were actually working on it. I had to go pick it up, walking from Daly City, and take it to another shop- probably a blessing (if so much time had not already been waisted.) I brought it just up the street to Sunny Auto Body. The rep gave me a more fair quote, not over charging me because I am a woman, like Auto Body Spa did. Sunny Auto Body was much more professional and TOLD ME AUTO BODY SPA PROBABLY DIDNT WANT TO WORK ON MY CAR BECAUSE THE TYPE OF DAMAGE IS LABOR INTENSIVE. I honestly cannot believe what happened and how it was handled. I am not surprised Sunny Auto Body is double the size of Auto Body Spa. If you bring your car to Auto Body Spa, maybe they won't fix it if they don't feel like it. Hopefully I can get my car back soon! My commute to work is about an hour driving time. read more

I had a friend recommend this body shop to me. Therefore, when the lower front bumper of my BMW 335i was crunched in a slight mishap involving a ditch, I took my car by there and spoke to Dennis who gave me a quote that surprised me. I was thinking a couple of thousand because I knew the whole front of the car would have to be repainted and I would be without my car for a couple of weeks. Instead, the quote was less than $1,000 without parts and he said he could do it in 3 or 4 days. I was very happy to get my car back in 4 days looking better than before the mishap. The color match was perfect and Dennis kept me informed about the parts he needed to order. Instead of replacing the fog light, he repaired the bracket and replaced the bulb which was $100's cheaper than ordering a whole new light. I was much happier with Autobody Spa's level of service and professionalism than German Motors Collision Center where they took months to repair the same car after it was rear-ended a few years ago. And Dennis noted the backend of my car repaired by German Motors Collision Center was a slightly different shade than the rest of the car, but the new front end that Autobody Spa fixed is a perfect match. I took my Altima in for an estimate after it had an unfortunate run-in with a parking garage column. I was hopeful that it could be fixed without extensive bodywork and Dennis gave me a reasonable estimate for a repaint job. He seemed like someone I could trust so I went ahead with the repair. Although the price went up after they had a closer look, I am very satisfied with the amazing work they did on the area which I had expected to still have some imperfections, but turned out flawless! I picked up my car yesterday from Autobody Spa and all I can say is wow, it looks like a brand new car! I received several quotations for the work needed and not only was Dennis sensitive to the fact that the fix was going to be out of pocket (vs. insurance claim) for my dented door, he also agreed to install a broken fog light (I had a new one shipped directly to him) for a very small additional cost. Dennis has to be one of the most honest and straightforward guys I have ever worked with. After getting an outrageous estimate from Sunny's body shop, I decided to get a second opinion here. Boy am I happy that I did. A mysterious dent appeared overnight on the rear quarter panel of my girlfriend's car. It looked as though someone either drunkenly fell on or kicked the car. Pretty nasty and over a foot in diameter. The shaped of the dent looked like it could easily be popped or sucked out. I took it to Sunny's and the only option they gave was to remove the panel, repair the dent, sand, re-paint, and the price would be well over $1000. RIDICULOUS. I took it to Dennis around the corner and he provided TWO options. Completely re-do everything for near $1000, or try his best to pop the dent out for $45. I went with the $45 option. It took him under an hour, and the results were pretty spectacular. I will definitely recommend this place to others. read more

He is incredibly nice and honest, and does good work. He is super diligent and thorough, will give you a good explanation of the options (e.g., do you want to totally fix the problem, or just the symptom - like change the motor of the window or just pull the window up and leave it there if it's not working - so you can decide what you need for your car). Never take your car here. I wish i could give lower than one star. I crashed my car and brought it directly to the shop. My insurance company sent an evaluator out it inspect damages, the same day; THE SHOP OWNER SAID HE DID NOT HAVE MY CAR. It was sitting at the shop for over a week before they even started working on the repairs. The work was terrible. Not happy with the end result.
