Love the car. Car lot not so much. They were supposed to replace something on my car. 3 weeks later I had to call them to get it ordered, I guess they thought I'd forget. Because I failed to look at the battery when I bought the car I ended up having to buy a battery for a car that I've only had 3 weeks. It was so corroded it must have been the original. You would think that they would check those things out before they sell you a car. Yes that's my fault I should have raised the hood and looked at the battery. Told me Capital One, whom I had a 30-year relationship with, had denied my application and secured me financing thru Ally at a 6% higher APR & $125 higher monthly payment. Capital One snitched on the dealership and sent me a letter stating although I was approved, the dealership would not agree to terms of the loan (specifically add-ons I did not ask for, and the dealership presented as $0 included items). Took car for first oil change after purchase and Nissan populated $1,367.75 in maintenance that had not been done. I've only owned the car 4k miles. The dealership did not disclose that the 105k services that were due 15k miles ago were never completed. read more

Bought a Nissan Rouge from the dealership Oct. 17th, by the 24th and less than 400 miles of me driving it a check engine light came on. Ran to O'Reilly for a diagnostic and then contacted the dealership about the issue and was able to get it in on the 28th of Oct. The issue was the catalytic converter and some computer piece that were going bad. They agreed to fix the issue per their warranty that covered the issue. Then came the waiting 2 1/2 months to get the vehicle in to have it serviced and fixed all while it was this excuse or that excuse for what they didn't have or what was delayed. I tried to give them some grace as it was a used vehicle and I understand sometimes things are out of our hands. But then they get the vehicle on the 12th of Jan., it takes a little over a week to get it fixed and I was fine with this as I'd rather have it fixed right than fixed quick, so again I gave them grace with the extra time and issue. Then came Jan 21st. I first got a notification email that my tow mechanism had been activated around 1:30 p.m. Around 2:15-2:30 pm I received a call and they left me a voicemail. I returned call after finishing clients around 4:15 p.m. to news that my vehicle had been involved in an accident. I got a few details from their service person and then spent the next week trying to get more information. Having a bad feeling, I spoke to my lawyer who advised me that if I dont believe I'm getting the truth to refuse the release until I had what I wanted (pictures, insurance information, police report). They repeatedly told me they couldn't get pictures, that the police report was through the Herculaneum PD and then gave me the insurance adjusters name (but no company or phone number so no way to contact them). I contacted the towing company (the one piece of information they did correctly give to me) and was able to get pictures, insurance information, and the address of the accident including the correct PD which was Pevely, not Herculaneum. I spoke to their GM after he called and asked why I had retracted the release and I made it very clear that The "head on collision wasn't just that, but they had rolled my vehicle". A detail they just happened to leave out on top of the lack of insurance, incorrect police department to have me looking in the wrong place, and the tow company had pictures the whole time. I lost money dealing with this dealership and their unethical and immoral ways of treating and dealing with a customer due to their own negligence and incompetent ability to be upfront and honest. I gave them multiple chances and opportunities during the almost 3 months I did actually have the vehicle and they proved exactly why they shouldn't be trusted by anyone. I gave the benefit of doubt with the check engine light, the long wait to actually get the issue fixed, and then trusted them to at least be honest about the accident that was their fault and they failed at all three. I would strongly advise against buying or doing any business at all with them at all. read more

We walked in at 9:40 test drove two vehicles and had a deal agreed upon at 10:45. We then sat until 3:45 5 hours until finance came to get us. My husband is diabetic and had no lunch and was shaky . You have a vending machine and water. Seriously in Columbia Mo they have popcorn machine and other things out like a breakfast bars out for their customers that are free. I saw sales personnel running their legs off and selling a lot of vehicles for you. Yet it all bottle necks at finance. I was so upset by the time we were to finance I did not do any extended warranty through you. I did all that in Columbia. I got a much better deal too going through the dealership. Sales man was nice but didn't exactly show any features of the new pickup I purchased. It was a 2022 gmc sierra 1500 denali. Haven't owned it a week and had to replace all four rotors due to rust causing a strong vibration when braking. The salesperson wasn't in any hurry, I sat there for nearly 5 hours and barely made any progress till I said I was about to leave. I understand these are pre-owned vehicles but this truck only had 33 thousand miles on it. Update : I was contacted by consumer rep from this place and was told bluntly "I shouldn't of made this review", he was completely disrespect and had the tone of saying i'm a moron BUT offered to make things correct by refunding the $600 for the new rotors. I had to already replace and then said I can change my review to 5 stars and say and I quote " That this place is awesome or whatever". Well, if they wouldn't try to screw people over from problems they are REQUIRED by law to complete an inspection beforehand so that isn't happening you can keep this 1 star and shove it. After some useless conversation back and forth, they asked for pictures of the rusted out rotors which I provided and the ONLINE RECEIPT of what I purchased (from autozone in farmington MO). Of course, with any "hard-assed" consumer rep that wasn't enough. After attempting to drop a few braincells myself to be able to get on their level still wasn't enough. I live nearly 2 hours away from the Farmington Autozone (Called and they said I'd have to go to the exact store to get a physical copy). Yes, this isn't Autocenters fault but I do not understand why I need a physical copy of what I purchased when the online receipt shows 1.) What exactly I purchased 2.) Itemized Amounts for each item 3.) The Grand total amount Still again, this wasn't good enough. Since I've already pissed off the "big wig" of this location persay, once you walk into the door they say they have no wiggle room with ANY of their vehicles. The sales person, Charles said they list their vehicles as low as they can. As far as what I acquired, I'd say It was a decent price range minus the rust but as far as anything else I'd look around first before making the choice to go with these guys. I can say I will never return to any Autocenters again. If you got screwed like me, good luck trying to get refunded for what you had to replace because I bet the next thing out of his mouth would have been "the physical copy isn't good enough". Not only me, but my brother was also a huge Autocenters fan. Don't know if it was shitty luck or what but every single newer vehicle he has purchased as some issue with it. Purchased 2020 model with very low miles. Old saying, if its to good to be true, it's probably not true. Was told that on vehicle history wholesaler put "structural damage". When we went to drive the vehicle, all the doors and hood were open. Open door concealed "structural damage" to front fender that causes it to rub on door when opening or closing. When I got the car home discovered that the hood was out of alignment and the rear bumper had been secured with two drywall screws that are rusty. Also, 3 small dents in trunk deck lid. Called the salesperson, Nolan Keckley. No answer, his day off. Emailed him with photos. He responded with email. He said we discussed the "structural damage" being on the title which is true. He did say he was not aware of any damage. He also said that some the sales people believe that the wholesaler will make an entire lot as "structural damage" as a way to protect the wholesaler. Since the car drove well and didn't pull when braking I ASSumed it was okay. Before we left I asked about the inspection. He said it had just expired the day before. The inspection sticker said January 22, 2022. We're in September 2022. Took car to Maaco and estimate is $1,600 at this point to fix fender, blend door in and adjust hood. Hope it doesn't grow as they pull things off and inspect what's underneath. Estimate doesn't address dents in trunk lid or why there are drywall screws being used to help secure the rear bumper. Was told by Jake the finance manager that they would mail me my title and paperwork. Received call from Zoe that they cannot do that unless I live more than 50 miles away or pay the UPS fee of about $25. She had no idea why Jake would say that they would mail them. My advice, is look the vehicle over very carefully and maybe take to someone you trust to look at before you buy it. To me this experience was no different that buying a car from an individual. They are not even BBB rated and I wish I had checked first. Do not trust this place! I am upset at myself that I went there twice, but the second time is what sealed the truth. I bought a truck a few years ago on a rainy day. It drove fine and I bought an extended warranty. They "guaranteed" the truck was looked over by their "mechanics" and nothing was wrong with it, it drove fine. They refused a carfax and said they don't do that there. I pulled one myself and found it has been in a small rear end incident where the bumper had become dented....................... When they evaluated my trade, they tried to say they couldn't take it because of emissions testing, ignoring the fact that in Missouri a 10K lb GVWR truck does not require emissions. So they did their test drive and came back with a typed and printed notes of their evaluation of my vehicle, saying there were fault codes showing for some steering problem on the vehicle (yet there were no instrument warning lights on the dash at all, NONE). I went ahead with the purchase though something felt very shady. A few days later when it was dry, I noticed the new to me vehicle was leaking oil. I called them and their first response was "did you buy an extended warranty?" They did not want to fix the truck that they guaranteed was solid, let alone their scam ads for "lifetime warranties." Fast forward about two years and after countless upgrades and dealership repairs on this truck, I take it to them in perfect mechanical condition to trade it on another vehicle. They do their test drive and again, come back to me with a typed and printed sheet with someone's notes on it saying this truck also has a steering fault code in it......SO TWO DIFFERENT TRUCKS TRADED INTO THEM ARE SHOWING THE SAME CODES ON THEIR "SCANNER?" I don't think so. They ALSO tried to fault me that the truck I bought from them, that they tried to HIDE from me had a "minor rear end collision." I am willing to bet if someone started a class action suit against them they'd go out of business. They lie about faults on vehicles to swindle people into accepting lower prices. These are some of the worst cons I've ever seen at dealerships. Both times I came preapproved from my own bank. Their salespersons will try to sell water to fish and do not care about what you are trying to do, they will say whatever they need to for a sale, its pretty horrible really. Both times they held my paperwork and would not send the payoffs for my previous loans until almost a month or more later and my temp tags expired. Them holding the funding also caused me to have to make extra payments on both vehicles. I called them multiple times to find out why they weren't sending my payoffs and they blatantly lied to me saying they were waiting on the bank, and then told me they sent everything three times to the bank yet when I called my bank, the bank (USAA) stated they had received nothing each time. read more

Do not waste your time at Herculaneum Auto Centers. We went to test drive a used car last month and it seemed okay except for the alarm system randomly going off during the drive. Kinsey said the car had NO PROBLEMS. Well she lied. We got the car inspected and it needed a $1000 in labor and over a $1000 in needed parts. Our warranty was a scam and did not cover a single thing. When we called asking how it was just inspected and none of this was fixed they said they take their cars to local auto shops and that the auto shops would not have any reason to lie about things needing to be fixed. One of the biggest problems was the GAS LEAK. The car literally could have exploded. We noticed the gas smell after parking it in the garage a couple days after purchasing the vehicle. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOT!!!! All cars are brought in from auctions, detailed and stuck on the lot for sale at a huge markup. They have no shop, If something is wrong with the car they just band aid it and try and convince you to buy it. The salespeople are nice but they don't know anything about the vehicles they are selling. How could they? (500 or more on lot) Nor do I think they really care. Once you have purchased the vehicle they wont be so nice anymore... They issue 60 day temporary tags, which are not even legal in Missouri. I suppose they do this so it gives them time to locate the title. They will want more for the car if you don't finance through them. They will not ask you to roll taxes into the loan if finance through them. Their 100k mile powertrain warranty that comes with the car is not worth the paper its printed on. If you do have a transmission problem they wont honor it and make you sue them to get anything done. read more

Went to purchase a brand new car , the Msrp was 23,000, said there was no room for negotiation on the price. We said fine we want it. Salesperson said she would arrange for us to speak to the finance person to see what kind of terms and payment they could arrange. We said no thank you we had arranged financing through our credit union, it was all ready to go we just needed a purchase order to go back to our bank to complete the transaction . Her face dropped and she excused herself and went to speak to the manager. She came back a few minutes later and said she could not sell us the car for the price we had agreed on ..... they needed an extra $1000. We asked if we had come in with cash would they have done this, she said yes, it's in the fine print on our website. Of course we did not agree to this, left went out in the parking lot and called the other dealer we had found the car available (just a different color) , asked if that was their policy if you have your own financing.... she laughed and said absolutely not. The workers were very friendly and worked with me to get the truck that I wanted. I originally had 3 stars but after getting it taken to a shop because of many concerns, I am already having to pay a couple thousand to replace the timing chains and water pump on a truck I just bought just a couple months ago. Plus, the tires that were on it when I bought it are the wrong size and make a grinding sound everytime I take even a slightly sharp turn (which luckily isn't causing any physical damage right now, it's just annoying). I would not recommend buying from here. Like I said, the people were very kind, but it's disappointing that there are so many issues so soon after buying. While our salesman, Ryan, was great to work with, the overall experience was terrible. We are not from the area. I sent over detailed photos, info and everything they would need to give me an estimated trade in value to see if the drive there would worth it. I was told $22-23k trade in value. We were offered similar or more by a few local dealerships but the specific vehicle I was after isn't available around here. My husband and I both took off work, drove 8 hours total, sat and waited for 2+ hours for them to come out and offer me NINE THOUSAND LESS! Before giving us the insulting offer, they RAN OUR CREDIT! We filled out the paperwork on it which I never do before knowing my trade value but they had already told us our trade value would be between 22-23k which we were fine with AND THEY DIDNT BOTHER TO MENTION IT WOULD BE FAR LESS. Not only was the offer insulting, they tried to state false reasons why such as "it needs tires" but I have receipt proof that I just put tires on 6 months ago and they're still great. They stated there was a transmission issue which worried us as we had no indication ever that there was an issue so we had it looked at by an auto and a transmission shop-- both stating that the transmission is perfectly sound. To have someone drive that far and turn around with an offer like that was insane. On top of it all, the vehicle we went to see was filthy inside and appeared to not have been detailed despite them having it on the lot for a bit. I began reading reviews after we left and wish I would have before making the trip because they play this game often. I bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue from them on July 31st 2021. Since that time I have replaced intake manifold, Engine, water pump. Head Gasket, all belts and fluid associated with this SUV.6 weeks in shop for intake. 6 weeks in shop for Engine current in shop for catalytic converter. This car out of pocket has cost me 4100. Fortunately Nisson is taking care of catalytic converter. I call them before I even had car 30 days to complain. They would never return my calls. We went in to purchase a vehicle and right off the bat John Piel had the worst customer service. He was not friendly, sociable, nor at all made you feel welcome. It was the true "you are just another sales" feel. He gave me an offer for my car and when I told him I would pass, he replied "we can buy your car all day long for $18,000". They ended up offering me more which I appreciated but John's reply was just not called for as we were in no way rude about the initial offer, just kindly declined. I had full intentions on buying the new vehicle but the more we sat there with him, the more unfriendly and rude he was. His snarky comments and demeaning behavior was just not necessary. The LAST DEALERSHIP YOU WANT TO GO TO.. I've past this dealership all the time, and seen they had a lot of cars to choose from. Unfortunately, I sent my stepson and wife up to buy a car because his car was unrepairable. When they came home to show me the car the dealership recommended, it has been wrecked in the front, glue was holding the grill in and the emblem was cracked. At that time, even with me just having spine surgery, I got ready because I didn't want them to take advantage a woman and a kid. When we arrived, I mentioned the car had been wrecked, then they brought out another car that had multiple damage to the paint, with I might add, a bunch of dust so you couldn't tell the paint was messed up. After the all that, they brought a car up that was dirty so you can't tell all the defects, and promised us that the car would be detailed to perfection. Needless to say, after we had been at the dealership for hours waiting on the finance department, they let us know that it had been in accident and the airbags deployed. We looked over that, simply because they was about to close and my stepson needed a car to go back and forth to work. We finally left the the dealership and got down the road and turned the radio on, and no sound. Called the dealership and they said, No worries, we will get it fixed. They set up and appointment at there cheap shop, and even after making an appointment, they kept it for 2 days, because they didn't have time to get it in. Since there 2 dollar shop couldn't fix it, and being almost a week, the dealership said we didn't purchase the extended warranty that wasn't offered. Beware what you buy from this place, don't be like us, make them wash the car before you sign the papers. The top of this car hood, roof, and trunk is literally scratched beyond repair. So, I would pass this dealership up , and waste your time. Definitely, DONT FALL FOR THEIR LIES AND MISGUIDANCE. experience was decent, but shortly after purchase I learned that their warranty is horrible, invest $20,000 of my hard earned cash into what seems to be a nice pre owned 2015 Cadillac, signed a paper agreeing to maintenance inspection, oil changes, and other inclusive additions discussed, when my co-signer made it up there the next day to sign off on their end of the paperwork due to conflicting work schedules, came home and said they never gave her that and it wasn't included in our carbon copies of the paperwork, shortly within a month after purchase it breaks down on the side of the road due to faulty parts within the coolant system, costing me well over $900 in repairs and towing, with none of it covered by warranty, would not recommend them, sadly. After the initial repairs discussed above the vehicle began to overheat again, when notifying the dealership they agreed to look at it, to which they believed it was a warped engine block due to the head gasket they replaced and didn't disclose to me prior to purchase (even when asked for service history at time of purchase). The vehicle had then been in their care for the better part of 2 months, they said they fixed the issue by replacing an O2 sensor, I drove over an hour to get it just for it to overheat as soon as I got home, I took it back the next day, to which they had it another 3 weeks, they tell me they cant replicate it yet again, I come in to get my vehicle and request service records of the gasket they had replaced so I can go to a reputable service center and provide work that has been done so that they can accurately diagnose the problem, when arriving to request my records and ask why the huge mechanical failure they repaired was not reported on the Carfax/Experian AutoChecker, the manager Kurtis said "I don't know what those are or whats supposed to go on them" and then proceeds to tells me "That's none of your business what we did to it before purchase and I don't have to give you those". after an argument about the records I go to leave in my car, when I approach it, it now has parts of the door handle BROKEN off and missing, service history from other shops and paperwork in my backseat STOLEN as well as huge scratches all over the hood, the managers response? "Well it's been sitting here for awhile those things happen", I drove home and immediately pulled into my local Cadillac dealership as my car overheated to seek a remedy from TRUE professionals. This place, and this manager, are the definition of what a Sneaky Car Dealership is all about.. Purchased a 2018 Ford Edge 9/9/22 upon completion of the paperwork I was told that I would need to set up an appointment at one of the local shops for an Emission and Safety test (mind you I live about a hr away) Within 24hrs the check engine light came on. Took vehicle back the following day & was told it's probably the gas cap. On 9/12 the vehicle started over heating, decelerating while driving on the highway & eventually shut off. The following day the salesman came to pick up the vehicle and give me a loaner car. Picked my vehicle up on 9/19 was told all the appropriate repairs were made. Less than 24 hrs check engine light was back on. 9/27 I returned the vehicle once again given a loaner car. 9/29 I was told my vehicle was ready to be picked up. I am not for sure how they managed to get the check engine light off and have this vehicle pass both the safety and emission test within a 48hr period of being in the shop. 10/1 picked my vehicle up given paperwork showing an emission and safety was done on 9/29. 24hrs later the check engine came back on. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact the GM but he has failed to respond. Buyers beware this company has a F rating with the BBB. read more

I purchased a vehicle 3 months ago. Buyer beware as they say! I realize why the customer chooses this type of dealer, I get it, but that doesn't mean we don't deserve a safe, dependable vehicle. When the dealer does their inspection, their only goal is to get it on their lot and sell it. They don't care what is wrong with the vehicle, nor are they interested in fixing any issues one may have after the sale!!!!! My vehicle needs new rotors, it has an electrical short that causes the dash lights to flash off/on, the steering wheel makes this "awful, loud" rubbing sound when turning. DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS STEALERSHIP. A few years ago My fiancée bought her first car 2018 Altima from this dealer. Finance manager flew through paperwork and said and I quote, "don't stop me or I'll mess up" and didn't explain a single page of the documents. The only reason we continued is because her hand me down daily driver had an engine failure and was very high mileage vehicle so we were stuck between a rock and a hard place. The salesmen was very condescending and the other staff shot the shit the entire time we were there while we sat for 5 hours to complete a process that frankly could've been done in 3 MAX. Roof of vehicle was covered in stains from what appeared to be an exploded soda or ketchup perhaps? Was told that dealer would contact us to set up a deep cleaning to deal with issue and this only made obvious water marks all over ceiling. Car was a COMPLETE lemon and on top of everything a customer who the day before purchase a Dodge Ram truck was back already complaining of issues. Biggest regret purchase of ALL TIME. read more
