The service department is where your new Ford will spend most of its life, so do it and yourself a favor and go to a different dealer at the very least. Went in for a diff leak and they told me it was a vent leaking. It was not the vent leaking but the gasket. I spent $200+ to get the vent fixed -and the issue was the gasket. I took the car to another shop and it was obvious the leak was coming from the bottom seal of the diff. read more

Purchases a 2017 Mazda CX-5 from this dealership back in July. I was told that they had factored into the price the cost for new license plates for me. The gentleman that was taking care of me told me he would put the MO temporary license plate on my car and that in a few weeks I would receive an IL temporary license plate and then my real IL license plate. The MO temp plate expired on Aug 9 and 3 weeks after that I still had not received a temp plate from IL. I called the dealership and told them I never received new plates and they said they would call me back after they look over my paperwork. They called me back two days later saying I had paid $120 to transfer my plates and they had no record of me getting new plates. Huge miscommunication on their end. When this happened I took my paper work to my personal bank to make sure my plates were actually good to go. My banker discovered they had over charged me on the IL tax. She called the dealership and told her no we did not over charge her. Later that night they called my banker back and told her that yes we did over charge her by $600. They told my banker they were sending the $600 to the bank I received the loan from to put towards my principal. My banker called me and told me all of this and told me if I wanted to the $600 to go to me and not the bank to call the dealership. I called the dealership and told them I was disappointed that I did not even get a phone call asking where to send the money or an apology for over charging me by so much. I asked that they please send the check to me so that I can determine where to distribute the money and the lady on the phone was so rude and lazy and said that since she already sent the check to the bank she couldn't do anything about it. Very Rude Unhelpful Unthankful Would NOT recommend purchasing a car here. They did not even send me anything in the mail for purchasing my car nor offer disounted oil changes/services. read more

Buyer be warned if buying a used vehicle from this place. They 2 ways of selling used cars, front lot and back lot and I've bought from both. Back lot is their wholesale cars which are cars they really don't wanna sell to customers but will just to make a buck or break even so they don't have to send to wholesale, these cars are as is, with no warranty, no inspections and probably have problems. Front lot would be cars they wanna make money on and should be in good working condition. I bought a car off the back lot for my daughter which had inspected and just needed tires and one other thing which was a simple fix for me, score good deal. Then went back and bought a truck off the front lot which has turned into a complete pile of shit. Within 6 months have nothing but problems, found out after a few weeks a steering drag link was bad, then realized the truck had NO parking brake, couple months later front brakes were completely shot( needed pads and rotors ), o2 sensor went out and now the greatest the main computer has gone out. After further inspection by me and another shop find out the vehicle had been a flood which was not listed on carfax. Now after 2 months several tows and a replacement computer ( which has gone out ), there is something causing a problem somewhere else causing the compete to burn up. Oh a computer is 3k to replace. DO NOT buy a car from these con artist if they don't offer a warranty, no warranty means they're selling you a piece of shit ! read more

I just purchased a 2009 Ford Edge from a small dinky car dealership. I asked the dealership where I purchased the vehicle at if they had the key less entry code for the car they said no they didn't. I looked in the manual and it stated if I called a ford dealership they can look in the computer system for it. So I decided to call Reuther Ford and spoke to a gentleman in the service department. I explained to him I just purchased the car on Thursday 12/22 and I would like to get the key less entry code. The gentleman stated it would cost me $60 to get that information because he would have to plug it into a machine to get it. I think since i just purchased a car they can at least help me get the code but no they want to charge a car buyer a ridiculous amount for just a 5 digit code. while i was in a ford forum to see reviews a customer actually told me where i can locate my key less entry code. I did locate my key less entry code that is located in the FUSE box by the left foot of the break. I tried that code that I found and it work. Reuther Ford knows about this and still wanted to charge me .. NOT GOOD BUSINESS on their part. I would never take a car or buy a car from that place. I need another key and they wanted to charge me $150 for that as well.. OUTRAGEOUS price.. VERY disappointed read more
