In terms of the work, Sal and his team did great. This was the second rebuild of my transmission…read more(Ford F-150 with 345,000+ miles!), and it feels as good as new again. In terms of the timeframe, that's were I docked the last star. Initially Sal told me a week (I was moving in about 3 weeks), and after a week he hadn't even looked at the transmission. Second week he started telling me they were having trouble getting parts, which is something he should have said when I asked for a quote/dropped off the truck. Many, many phone calls later I threatened to show up in person, and suddenly the truck was ready the next day. Funny how that happens. He asked for me to bring the truck back before I left town with it, and he did a check up on it and told me some very good information, showed me temperatures, and so forth. Sal is very good at what he does, the place just sucks with time. In terms of price, it was a bit more expensive than some other places, but it's definitely not a task you want to be cheap on. You get what you pay for. And I think my 2007 truck has at least another 50,000 to 100,000 miles left in it! (Also, rebuilt transmission is way cheaper than a new truck).
