Major tip coming your way! So my car is definitely a rock magnet. Every time I'm in the highway and pass by large trucks 3/10 times something comes flinging my windshields way and it's weathered many cracks over the 13 years I've had it. Anyway my car had the largest crack ever and it was spreading so I figured it's time to finally replace the windshield before it shatters while I drive or something. Left the top 2 businesses some voicemails and yelp messages and Roberto responded first so I scheduled an appointment due to fear of my windshield shattering lol The company though having a listing here for the north park area is mobile so they can come to you u just make sure there's enough room for theIr van (pictured). Process was quoted to take 45 minutes but ended up being more than an hour. Then you caNt drive your car for 4 hours and can't take off the tape for a day. My biggest disappointment comes from the lack of communication afterwards. I was concerned because it started raining and it's effect on the glass glue so texted the same number i used to book the appt and NOTHING back after 4 whole days. #ghosted The window appears to be fine ... in the big scheme of things. read more

I never write a review until I've done business with a place three times. However, I'll make an exception for Roberto, because I'm hoping I won't have the glass smashed out of my passenger side window twice more. That being said, if it does happen again I'll know where to turn. After waking up late and dashing out the door only to find my car broken into (and getting over the initial shock that the clearly drug-addled thief somehow overlooked my priceless collection of Pokemon cards) I started the search for a reputable auto glass repair shop who could come to me at work. With more than a handful of five-star reviews, Roberto made the cut. He was kind and courteous on the phone, called back promptly and came over within an hour. He worked quietly for about another hour, showed me that the window was fixed (good as new!) and wrote up the total: $135 before tip (which was generous). He even hung out and chatted about growing up in the neighborhood, his upcoming birthday and his kids, as well as gave me a contact for a wholesale plant grower he knows (I manage a retail nursery). All in all, I couldn't have been more satisfied with Roberto's quick, prompt, skillful customer service, fair price and upbeat attitude. He went above and beyond - more or less vacuumed the whole interior of my car and even picked little shards of glass off a roll of tape that had been sitting in the center console! Took a rock to the windshield on Thursday while travelling over the Coronado Bridge. By the time I got to work, the crack was 6 inches long. My insurance company would not replace it without paying the $500 deductable. I made some phone calls to local companies and got some okay prices. My cousin had used Roberto a couple months ago and was please with the work. I called him and he was in my driveway that afternoon replacing my windshield and only charged $150!! He did excellent work and is very professional. I highly recommend him and would use him again if I needed a window replaced. On a side note, alwaysbrian a left a very unhelpful comment. My E36 BMW M3 was ravaged by an out of control projectile flying through the air on I-15S. My poor OEM Windshield finally met its match and began to crack in multiple places. I researched various options for my cracked windshield, such as getting it repaired, replaced with aftermarket (i.e. safelite), or replace with OEM. Since I love my baby so much I decided to go for the ultimate accoutrement and replace the windshield with OE quality glass. After a quick search on the forums, Pilkington glass is what I was looking for. I called up the local Pilkington distributor and they recommended me to Autoglass by Roberto. The name itself speaks quality... I mean the man's name is his company, so he must stand by it right? It's akin to "Fine Hair by Fabian". Anyway, I call Roberto and he was both grateful and honest. He volunteered up plenty of information and past experiences with similar makes and models that immediately had me feeling comfortable about doing business with him. Communication was top notch and he was able to get to my car within 2 hours. They did ask me to pull up into a shady area, but can I blame him? Anything to ensure that the work is done with care and right the first time. All of the parts were replaced with OE parts, and he and his assistant took care in making sure things were done right. I also made sure they didn't work hungry by buying them lunch :) I do work at a fast food company after all... least I could do. The car looks great, time will tell whether the weather stripping holds up, I'll be sure to follow up in a month or so. The windshield has all the original tinting and looks just like the factory version. Oh, and did I mention that the price was fantastic! Highly recommend! His work is quick and perfect. Very accommodating. My windshield got a chip from a rock that quickly turned into a crack across the driver side. This is nice not to have drive to a shop and then wait. My wife's 2003 Honda Element needed windshield replacement due to a crack. The finished product looks like new and doesn't make any noise (creaks or air flow). OK, so I subtracted one star because the technician was late which forced the service to be moved from home to work. Yet the technician did call in advance with notice of the delay and again, the service was excellent. Roberto may seem a little "out there" at first but after doing business with him I would say this is just one of his many good qualities. I needed to have my windshield molding replaced and no other shop wanted to help me. Roberto came to me the next day and knocked the job out quickly and cheaply. He also fixed my grill for me and patched up some of my sagging interior fabric while his glue set. Above and beyond in service and personality! My car was broken into and they smashed the window. I called Roberto and we met the next day to get my window fixed. My VW is a difficult car to work on (even by VW mechanics) so it took them a while to get it back to functioning. They took apart every piece of the door to make sure all the glass was out. Unfortunately, the next day I couldn't open the door from the inside or outside. I texted Roberto and he came to my house.
