I had to have the front bumper replaced. It required ordering all of the parts that are attached, repainting the bumper on my BMW and then resetting all of the electronic BMW parts. I am so impressed with this shop as they are all so kind, professional and customer service driven. The work was done as promised - wow!! Once i paid, they had my car waiting and it was hand cleaned, and tires shined. I would highly recommend this shop. They do all of BMW's body shop work. Quality work and hassle free. On October 21, 2022 Autohaus K&H Houston, Inc., located at 2815 San Jacinto St, Houston Tx, 77004 returned my car after repair of a dent in the passenger side quarter-panel. To repair the quarter-panel the rear lamp must be removed and re-installed as indicated on the bill. During the repair the rear lamp was cracked. Geico Insurance has provided pictures of the rear lamp before and after the repair. Geico refuses to pay for the damage to the rear light because the crack was not associated with the incident that caused the dent; the crack was damage done by Autohaus during the repair. I have requested Autohaus to repair the lamp at their expense, and the request has been declined. read more

The guys from the body shop came to my rescue, and when i told them I was on the way for service anyway, they handled everything for me. Otto at the front desk is very kind. I absolutely am in LOVE with this place! Shout out goes to Ab and all the guys that worked endless hours to restore my vehicle to a safe, drivable, and beautifully stunning condition. My 2013 VW beetle R- line convertible looks and especially drives like it did before my unfortunate collision. From the moment it arrived to their shop I have been informed every step of the way. I was quoted a final price before they started any work and even though some unforeseen Extras popped up they stood by their original quote. I added a new windshield because why not. It was cracked and their price was best I've ever been quoted. The warranty on the work is lifetime! The suspension is wear and tear so not lifetime, but 1 year or 12,000 miles. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! My BMW has been in their shop since 12/28/17 when I was in a car accident. It's now April 11th and it's still not ready. Every week they need a new part. I spoke with "Otto" today and he said that the last part they needed came in today and my car will be ready this afternoon. I sincerely doubt that because I've been hearing the same thing for over 2 weeks. It's always something with them. The original repair estimate was just over $10.5k, several supplements later and we are almost at $17k in repairs. At this point I'm seriously aggravated. I have this gut feeling that something is going to go wrong down the road, like a leaking window or road noise. I will be glad when this is over and done with. Needless to say, they won't be receiving any business from me in the future and I will be putting them on blast even more if something goes wrong down the road. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. They're ridiculously expensive and don't really know what they're doing. I took my VW in after some sensor lights came on and my engine wasn't getting power and they told me I needed a new battery, connectors, a new fuse box...blah, blah, blah and all this other car stuff that I don't understand. They kind of talked in circles and confused me and guilted me so with hesitation I agreed to let them fix it...for over $500. EPIC FAIL on my part, I know. $500 for a battery? Ummm, I probably could have fixed it myself for $60, but I'm pretending that's not true. Just call me Queen of Denial and lets call it a day. They actually wanted to charge me an extra $1,000 for some other stuff, but I declined for the time being and asked if they could just fix what was most pressing, which was getting those sensor lights off and getting power to my engine. So after a couple of days I got the car back, with a shiny new battery, fuse box, connectors and blah, blah, blah all this other car stuff I don't understand. Labor charges were redonkulous...and I was also charged an arm, leg and scalp for diagnostic tests and this and that. I was trying to let go of the fact I was charged so much for a freakin' battery and just move on with my life. My car was working and I was happy. Besides, you live and learn, right? Wellllllllllll, I'm driving down the street today - just a few days after getting my car back - and I'm having the same problems I originally took the car in for...problems they said they fixed by giving me my new diamond-encrusted battery...i mean, just regular battery. I called and let them know and they asked for me to bring it in again. Why? So they can charge me even MORE redonkulous amounts of money to not do anything? No thanks. Because this repair shop is so convenient I've given them a fair amount of business over the past decade between routine maintenance for my cars and body work. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when I took them my Audi S8. They damaged the wire housing doing routine maintenance and it took a lot of time, energy and back and forth to get them to own that they in fact damaged it and then to get them to replace it at their own expense. They kept trying to claim that despite them damaging it, they shouldn't have to pay to put it back the way it was when I gave it to them for routine maintenance. The last straw for me, I had some minor work done to my ML550 wheels. What I was told would take 2 days turned into a week and still no vehicle. No one bothered to call to provide updates and no reimbursement was made for being without my vehicle for over a week. Because I had a holiday planned and had to get a rental car, this minor repair ended up costing a lot more than expected. I would simply have waited to repair the scratches on the wheels if I'd have known it would have take a week! They were unapologetic, unsympathetic and offered no reimbursement for my expense for a rental car. Due to the lack of customer service I would warn anyone from taking their vehicle here for even a minor service. The customer service is just unacceptable, no matter if you're talking to Marcus or Auto, no matter if you've been doing business with them for a decade. read more

Had an accident and decided to, after a wrecker driver recommended them, bring my Mercedes to the closed "Mercedes certified" body shop. Insurance paid for the work. Worst paint job ever. Cracked within a year. Peaking off. Bad job. Customer services was moderate. They had to redo it once because it just looked bad. Warning** if you have an expensive car, don't waste your time. They will not do it justice. Too many other "good" quality shops out there to deal with this poor excuse for a body shop. Horrible. STAY AWAY. If my car is redone right. I'm pretty pleased with the service and customer service Autohaus gave to me. The only reason I stumbled across this place is because I received a letter from them for a complimentary oil change and I needed an oil change for my jetta. Otherwise I would not have checked them out. They did however charge me $40 since my car required synthetic oil. It looks like they run about ~$90 for synthetic oil changes. I didn't mind paying since I was already getting a complimentary oil change redeeming the letter I received. Ida was very prompt in getting back to me with scheduling my oil change and Markus was great about giving me quotes on the phone and answering my questions. What I like about Autohaus is that they're conveniently located near downtown and offer a shuttle inside the loop. So you can drop off your car while you're at work. They gave me an estimate on some bodywork that I wanted to get fixed and even cleaned my car (Car wash and vacuum!). Their customer waiting area has coffee and some gossip magazines, computer with internet and a TV. I'd come back here for another oil change. The entire experience was pleasant and quick. read more

My car was brought to Autohaus due to an unfortunate accident and the wrecker who towed my car was affiliated with this garage so this is where my car ended up. During the drive to the garage the tow truck driver Mike really talked this place up although I told him I hadn't made any decisions about where to fix my car and I was leaning towards getting it repaired at the Lexus dealership if the insurance company didn't total it out. I was still pretty shook up from the accident. Due to the time of day and location of the accident I wasn't able to tow my car to the dealership so this was my only option. When I got to the garage, I called my insurance company, filed a claim and arranged for a car rental from the Autohaus garage. I signed a general waiver when I left my car there releasing the garage from any liability for loss or damage to the car. In this waiver there are also statements about repairs with a no dollar amount or estimate listed. I never made any agreement to have my car repaired there. Tony gave me his card and told me that I could reach him directly given that this happened on a Friday and the receptionist wouldn't be there during the weekend. Saturday morning my adjuster called me and we agreed to get the car towed to the dealership and I was told I needed to call Autohaus to release the vehicle. I called the number Tony gave me and there was no answer. There was no one available all weekend. So at 8 am Monday morning I called, spoke to someone named Ab and released my vehicle. I asked him if I needed to sign any paperwork and he said no, a verbal confirmation was all that was needed. I then made arrangements with my insurance and Lexus to have my car towed on Tuesday and repaired. I received a call from Ab that day. When I called back I was told that he was out, there was no issue and the release was fine as scheduled. Tuesday I received another call from Ab and when I called him back he told me that the insurance repair inspector assessed my car and were going to total it out. However he was asking me for authorization to do a "tear down" to see the extent of the damage. I told him no, that I needed to speak to the insurance company first. After I spoke to the insurance company I was told that the cost of a tear down would fall on me and they had not made any final decisions about my car. They were confused because the Autohaus garage was telling them I wanted to leave the car there. I told my adjuster that wasn't true and I had made arrangements with Lexus. After speaking to the repair inspector she said the same thing, that Autohaus was telling her I wanted the tear down on my car and my to be left with them. She apologized profusely for any confusion. By Thursday my car was still at Autohaus accruing more storage fees and now a tear down charge that I never authorized. When I called Ab and asked them how this happened if I released my car on Monday, he backpedaled and could not give me a straight answer. I ended the call and told my insurance to remove my car as soon as possible. I then received a call from Tony and he accused me of authorizing them to do repairs when I signed the waiver on Friday. I told him I never agreed to any repairs, just to have my car held there until I spoke to my insurance. I also reminded him that my car was released on Monday and when Ab asked for my authorization, I said "no". He continued to debate with me and I told him I felt harassed at this point. Even though he called me, he said I was the one harassing him. I ended the call. I obtained a copy of the waiver and showed my adjuster that there was no agreement or dollar estimate for repairs or tear down. My car is now at the dealership. My experience with this garage is a reflection of their ethics and service. Autohaus is a business that tries to trick and gouge insurance companies and their customers. I am writing this review to warn other consumers who are put in compromising situations after an accident. read more

It took nearly 2 months for them to get it fixed and there were MANY times I was told it would be done and then when that day came it was always something else that was "broken" or they had the "wrong part." I have been taking my Mercedes vehicles to K & H for the last 10 years. They have always given me quality, fast service at a fair price. Many times I have arrived without an appointment and one of the mechanics always seems to find time for me. My preferred mechanic is Bo, but all of them have worked on my cars. They are all certified European auto technicians. They offer a luxurious waiting area with TV, computer and coffee. The owners are a bit cold when it comes to customer service, but the mechanics make up for it. They all go out of they're way to make sure you're happy. I've been to every Mercedes repair shop on San Jac, but these guys are step above in quality and they will beat the other guys price. read more

Markus and the entire staff were very freindly, straight forward, and knowledgeable. I was given several options in regards to the best way to repair the vehicle. The Control Unit was out when I arrived, and I was told it would need replacement. After they reset the unit, it came back to life. I was happy that they were honest and did not simply say, "sorry we have to replace it." I had a common issue with the model of Mercedes in which wires are crimped when the trunk is closed. While only 4 of the 14 were cut, Autohaus extended all 14 wires to ensure I wouldn't have this issue again in the future. Reasonably priced compared to the dealership. I am sure you can find a cheaper repair shop, but you get what you pay for. The team definitely knows what they are doing. If you are taking your 70-150k vehicle in for service, don't cheap out. Thanks to the entire team at Autohaus K&H. Anybody reading negative reviews check out the shop for yourselves and speak to the staff there. BTW, they were open to me bringing parts to save money if I felt that was the best option for my vehicle, they did not pressure me in any way. Someone side swiped me and I went to this shop to get an estimate for my repairs. When I got there they was so welcoming, very detailed, professional and trustworthy. So I let them complete the repairs on my vehicle. I was working was abb(Such a sweet heart) he took me to enterprise got me a nice reasonable renter care until my car was finished he explained to me everything what will go on with my vehicle while getting repaired. However, more parts was needed cause the repair time to be delay and me having to keep the rental more then expected. Due to abb going above and beyond I was able to keep the rental car until my vehicle was ready(NOTHING BUT GOD)!! Abb is a very understanding and wonderful person he made my experience the best. Worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I am a very sensible person and do not usually get upset over things but this was ridiculous. I got my car back after waiting 17 days!!! They had told me a week before "it will just take one more day"...and I still waited 7 more. But this was the worst part- When I went to get my car the guy told me "sorry but its dead" "we need to jump start it" When I asked why they said the insurance agency refused to pay for it. I said ok, but why didn't you call me. He then replied "I called you several times but there is something wrong with your phone." (I checked all of the missed calls and voicemails and he never mentioned the battery). Then he told me that I needed to make it to an autozone quick because it was going to die. I said What?! I'm on my way to work...are you telling me I won't make it to work? and he said Yes you better go now! I asked where the nearest autozone was and he said he didn't know. So I called into work and had to get off....literally prayed to Jesus that I would make it to a place with batteries and I went around the corner and there was a National Tire and Battery! I reported this repair shop to my insurance and told them about the experience...but I hope no single female ever goes there ever again...or any person. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with this shop. The manager, Tony, tried (unsuccessfully!) to add a $150 "administrative" fee to my bill. He said it was for doing paperwork and making phone calls. I had never heard of such a thing. My insurance company had never heard of such a thing. Moreover, it turned out that he had never actually done any paperwork or made any phone calls. He simply let my car sit in the lot outside for 6 days. He never did an estimate for the repair work, nor did he contact my insurance company regarding the damage. He charges $20 per day that a car is in their lot, so I think he was just trying to accrue storage days to pad the bill. I can't speak to the quality of their repair work because I had my car taken to another repair facility. I can say that the shop manager was unethical, arrogant, and showed no sympathy for my situation. I would avoid this shop in the future. Here is an UPDATE! How exciting! So, someone sent me the following message in response to my review: My car is being currently repaired for body damage at AutoHaus K&H, how did you get your car out of there? It has been like 42 something days and my car is still not done. My response: I had my insurance company pick up my car. They also warned me that some places will let your car sit to accumulate storage days and that in some states you may actually forfeit ownership of your car if it sits unclaimed in a lot for more than 30 days. The representative did not know if Texas was one of these states. Either way, they have an incentive to keep your car there and can essentially hold your car ransom until you pay their bill.
