My husband and I purchased a vehicle through Autoland back in June. We were told we HAD to purchase a protection plan per the contract. We, of course, did this as we really needed to get this vehicle purchase complete. Our salesperson, Mark Dao, told us it was for 24-hour road service, tire service and replacement, paintless dent repair, and windshield repair and replacement. But the first time we called for our windshield, we were told they only did repairs. It's a scam! I'm so very mad that they require you to purchase a protection plan that you can get the same stuff for 1qtr the price and it is better. All I can say is DO NOT use Autoland!! First of all, they sell me a car for not bad of a price, but I found out why!!! Parts of the engine were actually glued and not safe at all! When I would accelerate the car, the check engine light would come on and the car would die!! I took the car to Glendale Hyundai, which they were helpful and wonderful. I contacted Autoland and the car had to be taken back down to San Diego to have it fix and that was over $2000.00 , not to mention time consuming and a bother to me!! When I got the car back, it was still doing the same things, at least the glue was gone!! Autoland did help me at first, but I had some family emergencies and had to take my son in for medical treatment and my work was very busy!! So it took me a while to get back to Autoland, for them to help me and they said after 3 months, they could not help me anymore and I stated that I could get a doctors note to prove what was happening! Well, that was the end of my relationship with Autoland, they were supposed to give me a car in proper working order, which it was not and they are lucky nothing bad happened to us or anyone else!! I had to take the car in so many times to get it fixed and with other items that should have been done before they handed the car over to me! I missed work and lost money over this issue and also to find out in the end, the under part of the car is missing and that is over $500.00 to get the part and put it on!! Even if Autoland is working with your bank, STOP, think and go elsewhere! I would give them a negative review, but as you know I can't!! read more

I needed to find a car to replace a car from an accident, my bank suggested Autoland whom they work with. Lauren Simpers was my agent and she was AWESOME! I told her how much I wanted to spend, what type of vehicle I was interested in she sent (via email) cars for me to look at. I had an injury from the accident so this meant a lot to me. Once I perused the list and chose the car it was delivered to my bank within 2 days. The paperwork, both for the car and my loan (thru OC credit union) took 30 mins and I received a beautiful car with NO HAGGLING!! Our liason Tom Hopkins through Schools First branch in Fountain Valley was amazing! We had been looking and decided to try our luck with Autoland, it made the whole experience so worth it!! Not only did we find a car we wanted but Tom did all the talking to the dealership and had the car delivered for us! Paperwork was so simple and we avoided all of the bogus charges the dealer adds on during paperwork time. This car was the same price as a previous vehicle we looked at by ourselves from the same dealership but it was almost $1000 less at signing because of all the bogus fees the dealer tried to force on us! I purchased a car through Autoland in January. The process was easy - both buying and selling our 2 used cars. However, I was very disappointed in the sales price which turned out to be higher than the MSRP which came in the packet they gave me after the sale. Even more disappointing is the recent letter received from the LA Police Department. It was an Investigative Report about damage to one of the cars we traded in. This would indicate that we had not been removed from the title. So disappointed in this company. read more

Be careful when dealing with this company. Completely mislead! I was told by Jason B. that if anything was wrong with the used car that I purchased through them, he would take care of me. Within 3 weeks of the purchase, the car left my son stranded on the freeway. Jason's story then changed. He stated he was not responsible for the car that he "brokered" for us. We are now out $1,000! The car had another $1,000 issue and he once again took no responsibility. I get that it is a used car and things will happen....but he reassured me several times that if there were any issues with the car, that we are purchasing the car through him, not the dealer, and that he would take care of it. I went to the dealer out of desperation and April at Timmons VW in Long Beach has been bending over backwards to help me! Good to know there are people out there with a conscience. Unfortunately Jason at Autoland is not one of them. read more
