My boyfriend had been looking for a Mazda Miata for a while before he finally found the "One" with John. He previously owned a Miata and never forgot how much he loved driving his toy. With his birthday right around the corner, he saw the picture of a 96 Miata that John was selling. It had a clean title, really great condition both inside and out, and the stick glides in and out of gear with ease. For being over 20 years old, this Miata is in excellent condition. Looking online at other Miata's for sale especially in the early 90's, they are crazy expensive and not even in good condition. When I got an oil change for the Toyota 4-Runner that I purchased from CarHub a few months ago I was told that the entire rear end would have to be rebuilt for $2200. This is almost as much as I paid for the car. I've driven the car 3000 miles in three months. When I purchased the car from John he assured me that, as a mechanic, he had thoroughly inspected it. I should have had another mechanic inspect it. I realize this is what you are supposed to do when you buy a used car, but John assured me that he didn't know of any mechanical issues.
