I love coming to this store for their variety and unique toys. In particular it's the service they really sets them apart. Recently I had trouble with a pricy product and the manager Kelly really went above and beyond to make things right. I got daily updates and a resolution (a new product) which exceeded my expectations. Sincerely recommend this store. read more

So where do I start! This store is lovely, they have so much cool stuff, great variation and awesome stocking stuffers, but it doesn't feel cluttered and I can move around easily. (maybe harder for huge strollers) They have things I haven't even heard of so obviously keep on top of trends and have items on display so you can actually see what you are buying. In fact every time I go in things are moved and I see more new things. They don't mind kids playing with the toys which is cool too. We were in the other morning and were helped by a lovely young lady (sorry didn't ask her name but red hair) who was really helpful with my daughter, who can be a bit chatty/bossy, and seemed genuinely interested in helping us and keeping her entertained. To the reviewer that made the comment about guns, you are the problem with Yelp. You are the problem with society in fact. To say that the way you have decided to raise your children and your personal beliefs are not only correct but you find the opposite option offensive is the same thought process that divides this country. Instead of education, facts, and acknowledging there are things we don't agree with, you wield your opinion like a sword. Who are you to pass judgement. Is it a killer toy store? Damn right it is. Continue lying to your kid and see how that goes. This is the best toy store within a 200 mile radius. The amount of educational, imagination building and high quality art and creativity do dads makes this place worth driving highway 17 for. I don't usually leave reviews but I felt compelled to in this case. I went there with my family as I usually do once a month or so today and when I went to pay the ladies behind the counter were incredibly rude and condescending. When I was trying to pay with my phone which was being flaky they started looking at each other and laughing, rolling their eyes, and being very rude. I will NEVER go back there again. Unbelievable that they would do that at all especially in front of my 5 year old Son that was with me. read more

Automobuild is one of the few stores around dedicated solely to toys. The store is neatly arranged by theme as well as age. The store is always in good order. The hired help is well-trained regarding the merchandise and will guide you to the best area to serve your request, so you don't have to waste a lot of time searching. There is nothing in the store which could be described as poor quality. The buyer is clearly interested in delivering excellent products to the customers. Two caveats: 1, The store is very popular and it is located on a busy street corner. Parking is a challenge and sometimes not possible near lunch time. 2. The store is very popular so it can be quite busy. Free and beautiful gift wrapping is offered, but it is best not to be in a hurry. read more

Received a gift from this store and needed to exchange it since my son already had the same Lego set. The item he wanted was not in store so I asked if it could be ordered. The answer was maybe. They took down my phone number and said someone would get back to us. That was 3 weeks ago and I have since called atleast 3 times with the same response of someone will get back to you. Really, this place is jam-packed, and therein lies the problem. Every time I go, I am literally tripping on items that are displayed on the floor, truly. Dare I say they have too much inventory? Today I attempted to shop while I pushed my little one in his small stroller. I lasted five, frustrating minutes, constantly banging into things and getting trapped in the obstructed aisles. Great store, has many items to choose from. They even ask if you would like something gift wrapped, and a gift receipt.

I was there last week, I stood in line waiting to pay for a kids costume, there were only one person in front of me, two cashiers, one lady was moving slowly gift wrapping the toy, and the other lady was talking to a man, I stood there for good 5 minutes but none of them let me know they will be helping me any time soon, they didn't even look at me at all, maybe they just don't care. Very disappointed. I left and didn't buy. I will not buy anything from here, there are plenty other toy stores selling the same thing. read more

Automobile is an amazing store. They do an incredible job in having selections for all ages, educational as well as fun and outdoor activities BUT the staff and owners are OUTSTANDING! I don't leave very many reviews but this place is freaking awesome. They have tons of toys out of the boxes and built so the kids can play in the store. The workers never made us feel rushed and they even let my son ride a new toddler balance bike straight out of the box they were assembling. The toys are good quality toys too, lots of wood toys, magnets and die cast stuff. Science and building, engineering toys...I think I liked this place as much as my son did. We spent nearly 2 hours in here. Bummed we don't live in the area because I would love to come back. read more

I've waited an hour for three gifts to be wrapped - not because they were slammed busy but because they don't have a great system of communication of who rings, who wraps, what gifts are next in line to be wrapped. The store is beautiful; the toys are amazing. I was looking for some toys for my new granddaughter and found so many that I loved. Kathe Kruse dolls, Hape wooden toys, Meiya and Alvin, and my new favorite, Janod. I selected a small rattle and knew that I would come back for the other items as soon as my granddaughter was old enough for them. I paid and was asked if I would like it gift wrapped. Three young adults, my guess all under the age of 18, took a total of twenty minutes to wrap this one gift while ignoring all the other customers in the store. One did the tape, one folded, one tried to make a bow- it was an amazing thing to behold. As a former store owner myself, I thought of all the wages being spent to pay these three employees for 20 minutes each! Not to mention the other customers who had to wait! Anyway, I will be back because the selection of toys is too fabulous to ignore but I will forgo the gift wrap- my nerves couldn't take it! read more
