Our old convertible was looking pretty gross after the recent rains. We hadn't driven it for a couple months and didn't realize that it had been leaking, getting soaked with water and building up lots of mold inside. We picked AAS kind of randomly out of Google listings, but it was a great choice. They dried it out, sealed it up in several places, and removed every trace of mold. I have been going to Luke since I bought my 2008 Lexus SC430. It sadly sits outside, so I make a point to take it to him at least once a year. He does do ceramic, but that is best on cars whose paint are in like new condition. So for me he polishes as best he can (since I park under a large redwood tree), and then completes the car with a PermaPlate. He always takes his time to educate me on how to care for my car as best I can. I have always been happy with his work. His prices seem fair. read more

Brought my brand new 2015 Camaro here to have vomit smell removed since my b/f did majority of the clean up. Although, he did a good job I still could see a touch of it in the seat belt strap & the odor was over bearing. As desperate as I was, I accepted them to do it. The part that I was unsatisfied about was the fee of additional $30 for deodorizer when it already cost close to two bills. Let me remind you my car's only 4 months old & the main point was the vomit. The lady did tell me they'd have to do the entire interior, (Not much for being a brand new car) but for that price I thought they'd wash the exterior. Well I learned my lesson: Ask questions & shop around before you commit. read more

Where do I start..? Well, for one thing, they're not cheap. $175 for an interior. I thought it MIGHT be worth it but the real down side is that they managed to break the vent inlet on my dashboard (no mention by them...), lose a vent cover from above the dashboard and dislodge a piece of plastic from under the dash. I wear Polaroid sunglasses (apparently, they don't...). I can see clearly where they wiped the interior with Armorall and where they didn't. Not very thorough... I've spent hours looking for replacement parts as my vehicle is a bit on the older side. The dealer isn't carrying these pieces. T'ain't worth it...either the reduction of my labor nor the aggravation of searching for parts. There's got to be SOMEONE better than this..! read more

I know the car that I brought into them is very old but I was really hoping that they would be able to clean it a little bit better. They charged me for an interior window wash and they didn't do it. When I got there to pick it up he asked me if he wanted my front windshield cleaned on the inside and I said yes because there was the spray from the dash all over the window. When I clean the outside of the car and noticed all of the windows were still filthy. I have two other nice cars but I won't be bringing them into them if they need details in the future. It was $200 to have the interior done and And they didn't even clean the inside windows. read more

If I could give a sixth star I would! This is the second time we've had Hank do a car for us. The first time was a car I was getting ready to sell. I asked around and everyone told me AAS was the place to go. They said it wasn't cheap but once I saw the work I was going feel like I got a total deal. Boy were they right! That car was a limited edition car in a limited edition color so the detailing was going to make a huge difference in the price I received. He did such a great job that the buyer actually thought I had gotten the car repainted. I made back at least triple what I paid for the detailing, and my buyer was very pleased not to have to do it himself. This time it was a new-old car we just bought. It was in decent shape already so I was not prepared to be this impressed. Hank did an absolutely amazing job. The best part is that this time was with a gift certificate that we won at a charity auction a while back. And by a 'while back', I think it might have been two or three years ago, maybe longer. I purposely presented it when I made the appointment just to make sure there wouldn't be any problem using it. Hank didn't even bat an eyelash at it and was more than happy to make the appointment. I mention this because a lot of places do a half-arse job when they are fulfilling a charity auction gift certificate because they aren't actually making any money on the work. The fact that Hank did such a stellar job while not even getting paid says a lot about his intergrity and his work ethic. I highly recommend AAS to anyone who wants their car refreshed, both inside and out. (They share space with a window tinter, which is nice because it means you can get both done at once.) I have another car I'm getting ready to sell and won't even think about putting it online until Hank has gotten his hands on it. read more

We just had our first experience with Automotive Appearance Specialists and were are incredibly impressed with their professionalism and ability to rejuvenate the appearance of our car. We bought a used Highlander that had deferred cleaning, major cosmetic issues to the interior~ staining do to pets and spills,and loads of dog hair. The exterior had scratching, scrapes, and dullness to the finish. Hank was amazing! When I retuned to pick it up it was unrecognizable. We had the executive package performed that included sanitization of the interior and the ventilation system, shampooing of the carpets, seats and interior fabrics, and nothing less than a total rejuvenation of the exterior. The headlights had been treated, the tires dressed, and the Highlander looked like it had been cleaned beyond what I thought was possible. I'm so impressed with what Hank accomplished I wouldn't send anyone anywhere else to have a vehicle detailed. He was easy to get in touch with and responsive. When stains didn't lift out immediately he was great to contact me and let me know things where going to take a little longer. This was a great experience for us and well worth the investment. read more

When I purchased my Lexus in 2009 it came equipped with paint protection film aka a clear bra. The film was intended to help protect the paint from road debris and keep my front end looking fly for years. Fast forward a decade and, well, needless to say it lost its luster. The film began to discolor, it started to crack and peel; it looked like a feral cat was seeking vengeance on my hood. So I took my vehicle to AAS to get a quote to have it removed. I was greeted by Luke, who surveyed my car and explained my options to me. He took on the painstaking task of removing the film piece by broken piece and did a killer job! I don't know how he was able to remove it all, but he did, and with precision. (He even touched up some rock chips around the lower panels!) Oyla, the gal in the front office, was super friendly and pleasant, and kept me in the loop from start to finish. I usually do not pay anyone to do something I can do myself, I just don't have the time anymore. I asked around and AAS came highly recommended for detailing. I took it to Hank to detail a used Element I just bought. It wasn't terribly dirty but needed some elbow grease. It took all day, which I expected, and when I picked it up, all the obvious stuff looked good. Once I got it home to take a closer look, the control knobs were still dirty among other things and he didn't even vacuum under the seats let alone a wipe down. It took me another couple hours but I got it clean. If I was looking for a once over, I would have gone to Raintree. For $250, I expect a detail. To top it off, he called me during the day to let me know my cabin air filter was dirty and that he would replace it. I declined because the markup on the filter was too high and he wanted another $20 for 1 minute of work. Good thing I declined because there are 2 filters in this car. I'll never go back. read more
