Automotive Plus does not deserve your business. They are overpriced and disrespectful. I tried to call to get an estimate and they said they didn't want to take the time to give me an estimate if I had already gotten one from someone else. I went there another time and they tried to over charge me on something else. They are lazy, rude and have terrible customer service. I don't recommend them, ever. They are losing business due to their poor customer service and are ripping off customers. read more

In the evening, my 1995 Toyota Camry broke down about a block south of Automotive Plus. I called my son to see if I could drive a block north and go to Automotive Plus. He said they are great people and he has been going there for years. So the car started and I was able to drive under 10 mph. I parked it there overnight. My son called them in the morning and said they had a few customers ahead of me, but they checked it out. My battery box hold-down was missing which caused the car to die and I needed a new belt. They were able to fix my car and I had it before the weekend. They were wonderful to work with and their service was very reasonable for the parts and labor. Additionally, on my receipt were other car engine parts I should be aware of in the future with an explanation. read more

They always go above and beyond to not overcharge, and to let us know if something is under warranty. I had went to two different mechanics to fix a timing belt on my car and they blew it, one even said they'd give me $300 for it since it was shot. I brought it to Automotive Plus and they had it fixed in a couple of days and its been running great ever since.mSince then anytime I have any issues with my cars I bring them here, this will be my mechanic from this day forward. So I'm two decades late writing a review but I have to say that its hard to find a reliable and trustworthy automotive repair shop. Car problems can be scary! My Chevy Cruze's information panel flashed that the engine was hot and ac was turned off yesterday afternoon. I immediately pulled over, but not before a warning signal started to chime and I watched the temperature gauge needle move all the way to HOT. Automotive Plus was able to get my car right in. They determined that in addition to a faulty radiator cap I had a leaking water pump. Not only did they inform me that the water pump was still under warranty due to similar problems with my year and make of vehicle, but they printed out the information for me and highlighted what I would need to know when I take it to the dealer to get it fixed for free. I just bought a 1997 Toyota Tacoma, and after having a radiator flush at a local Jiffy Lube, the truck started over heating. I was recommended Dave through the grapevine and I couldn't be happier that I took my truck to Automotive plus, while they are busy and I had to work around the shops busy schedule, Dave made sure to give me a clear and understandable diagnoses as to what issue with the radiator was, it needed to be replaced, but he also stood by his work when the replacement failed. Dave and his crew fixed the faulty radiator and got my truck back to tip top shape for no extra charge and got me to the front of the line when the 2nd issue arose. IF that wasn't enough the final cost was nearly 30 dollars less than his original quote. This is a great shop with professionals who stand by their work. I will continue doing business with Automotive Plus because of their standard of service and from my experience anyone in need of a mechanic shouldn't 2nd guess taking their vehicle to Automotive Plus. Boarding rude when my car didn't pass his smog test, telling me to take it to who ever works on my car and I then explained to him his shop was the only mechanic to touch my car since I bought it new in 2006. I informed him that I felt I was being talked down to when he informed me he had a lot of other cars to work on. Earlier that morning I had made an appointment for my 1:30 visit Bottom line he couldn't give me an answer as to why my Porsche wouldn't pass smog when he passed it all the previous years. Stating it was the fault of the state of California. I believe if he agrees to smog my vehicle and it doesn't pass, he should be able to at least have the intelligence in how to fix the problem instead of telling me to take it where I have other work done read more

Been coming here for about 10 years. They've got what should be the most important thing you should be looking for in a mechanic: integrity. Dave and Diane are honest people. I have had several experiences where Dave could have easily BS'd his way into selling me something I didn't need. And as an added bonus, he has enough gray hair to know what a carburetor is and knows how to work on "old" cars too. Highly recommend! read more

I am from out of town and needed to get a same day/urgent appointment for my smog test. The lady got me in right away even though they were busy when I got there. I was out of gas and when I returned with a full tank I did not lose my spot for my smog check. My car passed the smog check and I was given correct advice regarding next steps regarding my certificate. It is affordable. Very friendly, and efficient service I will go there again. read more
