After receiving bad service from AutoNation Subaru's service manager and director, I gave them a bad survey result. The service director called me to say they refuse to service my vehicle. So if you have bad service there and complain about it, they'll refuse to service your car. I have emailed and called AutoNation Customer Relations to inform them of this, and no one has responded. They say they "are receiving higher than expected inquiries." No wonder - everyone I've talked to refuse to use AutoNation dealerships after consistently receiving bad service. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this service experience deserves one. I chose AutoNation Subaru expecting professional service and left incredibly disappointed. The biggest issue wasn't even the repairs--it was how I was treated. When I picked up my vehicle, Kelvin suggested that my situation was somehow my fault because I didn't have a warranty. Whether a customer has a warranty or not should have no bearing on how they're treated. It came across as dismissive instead of helpful. My car also sat on the lot for about two weeks and was returned covered in dirt. After that long of a wait, I expected at least a basic car wash or some sign that they cared about the condition of my vehicle. I was also surprised that no one clearly explained the repairs. Instead, I was asked if I had an oil pan repair and a CVT pump replaced--as though I was expected to explain the work back to the service advisor. Reviewing completed repairs should be part of the pickup process. I've had much better experiences at Schomp Subaru, where communication is better and they even provide technician inspection videos so customers can see exactly what was found and repaired. That level of transparency builds trust. Unfortunately, I didn't experience anything close to that here. I won't be returning to this service department. There are better Subaru service options in the Denver area that treat customers with more professionalism and respect. read more

First, I have had my 2020 Subaru Ascent for six years now and never had any major issues with the customer service or problems with the car's performance. I had even paid extra for the extended "bumper-to-bumper" warranty and prepaid routine services when I purchased my brand new car. This was my first Subaru, and I admit I was a little hesitant about switching over and for good reason as I now would never recommend a Subaru to anyone out there looking for a car. As a loyal customer and the fact that I prepaid services, I routinely have taken my car in at all the recommended mileage milestones and for even for all recall repairs without any issues. Recently, I have had the "check engine" come up with repairs totaling $1,500, no biggie, right. Then again the "check engine light pops up two days before our scheduled road trip to CA so I take in to get it checked out. This time the quote was close to $13,000 for major repairs and a total system overhaul for a broken oil valve that seeped into the electrical wiring and needing all harnesses replaced. So basically pay for a problem that will happen again. The service technician tried to sell me possibly getting a discount on another Subaru. I just paid off my $55k car with major repairs adding another $15k for a 6-year-old car. No thanks Subaru. Save your money and go with a safer and more reliable car folks! read more

There was some work that was being done on the car that we purchased... and while the repair work was good the finishing work was not awesome and there was a lot of extra adhesive on the door handle ... really a messy delivery... I had a very disappointing experience with the Subaru Service Center at AutoNation Centennial. The biggest issue was the customer service. When I picked up my vehicle, Kelvin told me that the situation was essentially my fault because I didn't have a warranty. Regardless of warranty status, customers deserve to be treated respectfully and professionally. That comment felt dismissive and unhelpful. What surprised me most was that when I came to pick up the car, instead of clearly explaining the repairs that had been completed, I was asked, "So you had an oil pan repair and a CVT pump repair?" I expected the service advisor to review the work with me--not ask me what had been done. Another feature I missed was the repair inspection video that Schomp Subaru Service in Aurora provides. Those videos help customers understand the condition of their vehicle and build confidence in the service being performed. AutoNation doesn't appear to try to offer anything similar. There was also a noticeable difference in service compared to Schomp Subaru. My car sat outside on the lot for nearly two weeks and was returned to me filthy, with no complimentary car wash. It's a small detail, but it reflects the overall level of care given to customers' vehicles. Overall, this experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I honestly don't know where to begin. We purchased our vehicle in April 2025. Initially, the buying experience was pleasant, and Andrew was helpful during the sale. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended. Within 48 hours of my husband driving the car--who is a car enthusiast and has previously worked at a dealership--we noticed serious issues. The vehicle swayed stiffly over bumps and showed resistance while driving. Their service department could not diagnose the problem and insisted the car was "fine." After speaking with their lead mechanic, he agreed we should get a second opinion at a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Around the same time, we noticed the tires were wearing down abnormally fast. They measured an 8 at purchase and dropped to a 2 within two weeks. Mercedes-Benz diagnosed the issue within 30 minutes and confirmed the alignment was not within manufacturer specifications. AutoNation asked us to bring the vehicle back for alignment. I paid $280 for the Mercedes-Benz diagnostic, and AutoNation initially refused to reimburse us--despite recommending the second opinion. Only after repeated pushback did they refund the cost. Throughout this process, the sales manager went back and forth with my husband, adding unnecessary frustration. We later attempted to use the maintenance package purchased at the time of sale. My husband had to return twice because they did not have the correct part for my Mercedes-Benz, resulting in hours of waiting. This was dismissive and disrespectful of our time. After leaving an honest review, we were sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding it be removed. We missed one phone call from them, returned it, and never received a follow-up. I then emailed the general manager and received a call from the assistant manager. During that conversation, I expressed serious concerns about their inability to competently and timely service a Mercedes-Benz. I was told we could simply cancel our warranty and maintenance package and that they may not be able to service a Mercedes at all--despite having sold us those packages in the first place. While we kept the maintenance package, the real buyer-beware warning is the warranty they sell. When our engine fan and starter failed, both were clearly listed as covered. Yet the warranty company stated it was not a warranty at all, but a service contract--directly contradicting what AutoNation told us and what the paperwork states. We were told repairs would only require a $200 deductible. Instead, we paid $2,200 out of pocket and had to fight extensively for partial coverage. The $5,000 cost of this package is absolutely not worth it. Most concerning of all, when we recently scheduled another oil change included in our service package, my husband waited nearly 30 minutes only to be denied service entirely. He was told this was due to the negative review previously left. At no point were we informed that we would no longer be allowed to receive service. The interaction was demeaning, degrading, and handled with a smug lack of professionalism. This experience has shown a clear lack of accountability, transparency, and basic respect for customers. Buyer beware. Think very carefully before purchasing a vehicle, service package, or warranty from AutoNation. read more

I'm revising my previous review. The original used vehicle we purchased did have a significant amount of needed repairs that were not disclosed during our purchase. However, the GM Jay Anderson stepped up and stood by client satisfaction. They worked with us to take the original used car back for the complete purchase price and we were able to find a different used vehicle that was acceptable. That being said remember if you are buying a used car to complete your own due diligence. I've never experienced such poor service in my life. Subaru of Arapahoe had my car for 11 months--yes, almost an entire year--and still couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. When I first brought it in, they told me I needed to fix the clutch, which wasn't even the issue I came in for. After months of waiting, countless calls, and spending over $4,300, they finally told me the real problem was that my car needed a new engine. It took them 11 months to figure that out. Because of their delay and misdiagnosis, my car ended up totaled. The lack of accountability, and urgency was unbelievable. From buying the car to getting it repaired, I wouldnt recommend this dealership to anyone. First, I spent an incredible amount of time getting the price I was quoted to be honored. Second, they almost sent me home with a tire that had a gash in it until my dad (an auto Nation employee) talked to them. There 150-point inspection showed that it needed to be replaced, but they didnt do it. I test drove it like that, and they intended to let me take it home with a tire that was ready to give out. Then I was told the brakes had been replaced but it took following up multiple times to get the service records. When I finally got it, the brakes hadn't been replaced--just the front rotors were resurfaced. Then I screwed up and popped the brand new tire only to realize they didnt sell the car with the jack and tire iron needed to put a spare on. When I brought the vehicle in to get a warranty fix on the tire, they had me bring it in on a Saturday, and they didnt have the tire replaced until Tuesday. 4 days to replace a tire. When they said the tire was done, they said they'd order the jack. That didn' come until Wednesday. Whybthat jack was ordered on Saturday, I have no idea. When I finally got my car, they had parked it under a tree, and the car i had just purchased from them a week prior and only had for 2 days was covered in tree sap. They haven't responded about it, so now I'm left to figure out how to get sap off. Even with an employee discount, I wish I wouldnt have bought from thos dealership. Horrible experience, and I have no idea what other shady issues I'll find on the vehicle. This was my experience as someone who benefited from her dad being an auto Nation employee. WARNING TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT BUYING FROM AUTONATION SUBARU ARAPAHOE I never imagined I'd be writing a review like this, but my experience with AutoNation Subaru Arapahoe has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. When I purchased my vehicle on July 5, AutoNation failed to secure financing at the time of sale. Then, without my consent, they ran my credit multiple times, violating Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) guidelines and failing to follow Colorado's consumer protection laws. When I started asking questions, they resorted to pressure and bully tactics, trying to get me to return the vehicle instead of following the proper legal procedures. After they finally secured financing, they failed to include the extended warranty I was told I had. I have paperwork proving it should have been included, but they left it off and never informed me. Fast forward to recently -- I went to get my emissions test so I could finally get my permanent tags, and I was told my car cannot pass emissions due to a leak in the catalytic converter on the passenger side. I took my car back and forth to AutoNation Subaru Arapahoe for five days of wasted time , only to be given the runaround before being told I was "not covered under any warranty." This is completely unacceptable when I have documentation that clearly shows I was supposed to be covered. Now, I'm stuck with a car that can't pass emissions, expired temporary tags, and a dealership and corporate office that refuse to respond or take responsibility. Under Colorado law, it's illegal for a dealership to sell a car that can't pass emissions -- yet here I am. I've done everything the right way -- called, emailed, waited, even gave them chances to fix it -- but AutoNation Subaru Arapahoe has ignored me every step of the way. (I drove from the springs to Denver) the sales staff started nickel and diming me about the price. We had already agreed on $3500 less than I had it listed for, and they wanted to offer even less. AutoNation wants me to take my car back to their dealership to take care of this concern. The email doesn't tell me what the concern is and the email was sent right after I posted a negative review of the dealership. I initially took my car to the dealership on April 2, 2026, and the email regarding the concern was sent to me on April 20, 2026. Why would it take 18 days to inform me of this concern? He tried to pressure us into buying a dozen different service policies. We said no to all and thought that was the end of it, but he tricked us and added a service we rejected costing over a thousand dollars to the fine print on the long and confusing invoice. Don't get service done here unless it's covered under warranty- and even if it is expect subpar service at best. Left my tank on completely empty after running it during service (least they could do is fill it up a little so I can get to the gas station), left trash and filled drinking cups in my car, pulled my car up with 3 people inside blasting the radio - one of them not even in uniform. Also if you're getting warranty work done be prepared to be at the bottom of their list. Told me they needed a 2nd day to work on my cars repair, but when I checked the receipt it was only listed as 4 hours of labor, so they didn't even work on it the first day they had it- probably because they weren't making any money off of me and put it at the bottom of their priority . Was promised 1 repair would fix my problems and ended up not doing that at all. Take your car somewhere else if you can, and avoid the insane prices. $300 quoted for an oil change when my personal mechanic (who actually fixed my cars problems) told me all I needed to do was add 1/4th of a bottle of oil is insane. They charge insane amounts for unprofessionalism and the bare minimum of service. Can't forget the fact that when I showed up with a male friend to pickup MY car - he was the only one who got approached! I purchased a car from them beginning of June- car had a squeak going on and I insisted multiple times before leaving that I wanted it looked at my sales man Andrew said " its an old car it's gunna make sounds" I nagged some more and they said they would look at it the next day - they took a look and the serpentine belt was cracked and about to break I let it go because it wasn't that big of a deal I just hated how my concern wasn't taken seriously and I had to be so annoying a week later the oil level icon popped up - I checked the oil and I had not even a drop of oil in the car which was weird bc they said they gave it an oil change before I bought it I was 45 min from home very scared on what to do so I put oil in the car called automation and got an appointment the next day with Mathew at 8:30 am I get there and everyone is confused why I'm there saying I never had an appointment confused why I asked for him he then told me I'd be paying 300$ and I said multiple times no I just bought this car less than 15 days ago .. he checked my information and apologized for the confusion if I never had an appointment I most definitely wouldn't have woken up on my only day off at 7am to be there on time for them Anyways I drop the car off they got me an uber home ... and I don't hear from anyone in a week, coming up on week two after calling every single day asking for an update and getting the responses of - your car isn't here - we don't have an update - I'll call you back later today with an update ( never ever got a call back ) - called the GM and never got a call back Finally got a response from Jessica two days later in a text that my car was being disassembled and would take a month to fix :) I opted to return the car because completely disassembling the car and putting it back together could lead to more issues and seeing how they already fixed this issue twice before I bought it it felt better to get a new one Andrew never actually put the effort in to sell me the car I was figuring things out by myself never showed me any dents scratches or anything which I thought was funny when going over paperwork and he says " sign this it's to say we looked at all the dents and scratched together" this was the same with the first car never went over anything with me which is frustrating for someone who doesn't know a lot about cars So I get a 2016 outback cars running great 50,000 more miles on it and more expensive I know for a fact I signed a 4 yr loan with the 2013 and I needed that same price adjusted for the 2016 especially with the inconvenience I was put through this cost me multiple job offers I had in place to be terminated they never gave me a loaner car during the duration of having my 2013 / they said I signed a 5 yr loan and this is the same -at this point being there for 8 hours I was fed up and said whatever Give this car a week or two and the transmission overheating icon pops up I bring it in and now I'm back in square one with no car and a car being completely disassembled and could take months I leave in 6 days for one of the most important jobs quite literally of my life and have no vehicle :) if you want a business that doesn't call you back treats woman like absolute shit belittles you and couldn't give two shits what they sell you, fuck up your paper work .. this is the place As someone who works In customer service if you are a female or not buying a Brand new car expect to be treated as second class as I sat there for 8 hrs another girl came in basically saying I've been trying to call you guys for a while no one is answering I'd like to have an update on my car it's been a week .. they are disrespectful of your time and business - I also thinks it's funny how I'm now getting phone calls for my 2013 Subaru that I returned a month ago on the updates ! I thought I was getting a good car at a good price, but I could not have been more wrong. I bought this car the second week of June, before leaving for two weeks for my honeymoon. Due to this, I was unable to get an inspection, and I wish that I had. The car has a warranty on it, and it certified-new used. The warranty (that I upgraded) is essentially bumper-to-bumper coverage. They also told me that this car has passed an inspection, and any items that failed the inspection or needed to be replaced were done. After the first day of driving the car, I reached out to the sales team rep whom I worked with initially. I told him that when I turned or turned and went over a bump, it felt as if I was drifting and that the car was turning weirdly. I was then told that I needed to just "get used to the car," and they inquired about how quickly I was turning. Upon returning from my trip, my tire pressure light was on. I thought this was weird, considering it was not on when I left, and I had only driven the car for about three days total at this point. I took it into Discount Tires to do the free air check, and the attendant was telling me about how terrible the tires looked in terms of tread and wear. He was appalled to learn that I had just purchased this car. I come to find out that the front left tire is bald on the inside, and the front tires are wearing unevenly because of an alignment issue. He said that the back tires were not in much better shape. I then took the car to a mechanic near me that I trusted to do a full inspection. I was told that this car was in good shape, but what else could they have lied about? I then found out that the back brakes need replacing, they confirmed the alignment issue, and they let me know that there is a slow leak in the back tire due to a nail on the interior wall. This mechanic told me to have them buy me new tires, fix the alignment, and change the brakes that are already at 4mm. Having bought a car that was certified new and supposedly passed an inspection, I was shocked at the issues that this car had. When I took it in to get fixed, they tried to tell me the back tires looked "great!" and then I had to tell them about the leak. When I expressed my frustration at this situation, the possible manager- I think his name was John- was very condescending. He did admit that the front tires were "pretty bad." They gave me the run around with having to wait for the sales team to arrive at 9, but then wait, then we have to talk to the general used-car sales manager at 11 when he arrives. All in all, I ended up sitting at the dealership from 7:45 am till around 2 pm. The manager had offered me a Lyft ride, but it just felt like a tactic to get a mad customer out of his hair. When he offered it to me, he really emphasized how boring it is to sit around; It felt like a set up instead of a genuine offer to help me out. While I was waiting around, I went up to the sales team to get a copy of my paperwork so I could re-read the fine print and terms and conditions. The sales team gave me someone else's paperwork! I had to go back up to them to get a copy that had my name on it. I wonder if they have made this mistake before, and someone else got paperwork that had my sensitive information on it. While waiting for my car, no one approached me, and no one apologized. I had to go up to people to try and figure out my options and what I could do. They sold me a car that had issues that they did not disclose, and they made it feel like it was my fault. I do not trust anyone that I worked with at this dealership, and I am hurt that they would treat their customers in this way. At the end of the day, they replaced the front two tires and fixed the alignment issue. They only patched the back tire, and I was assured that "they made sure" that it was patchable. When I inquired specifically about the low brakes on a car that I have barely driven, I was told that they were "just" the back brakes and that the front brakes wear out faster. When I brought up that it was in my warranty, he just told me to wait a little longer till the front brakes wear out more. The front brakes are at 6mm; The back brakes are at 4mm- this is how the car was sold to me. They should have done a more thorough check and replaced everything wrong, because that is what I thought I was getting when I purchased it. This car should not have been sold off the lot with tires that were going out, alignment issues, and almost dead brakes. What a shady business. I have half a mind to name-drop everyone I worked with because I have never felt more talked down to and cheated. I tried to get my husband or a male friend to accompany me throughout this process, but everyone was busy. I wonder if this would have gone so poorly if I had a man with me. Go anywhere else; they may have good deals, but it is not worth it. read more

to anyone wanting to purchase a vehicle from this dealership, DONT. about 2 years ago back i was in an awful car accident and went to this dealership to see if someone could help me out. Went in with fresh credit and they ran it multiple times without my consent, purchased a forester and within a few days of having this car, it was breaking down on me and i was calling them left and right to see what i could do. i brought it in and they only made it worse so i called again and the man who sold me my car said "no worries come in and we will SWAP IT OUT". I came in and they ran my credit more and i found a car that was the same price if not a little more to SWAP IT OUT (because that's what i was told to look for) TOTALLY SCREWED ME OVER. the price of the forester was around 17k (wasn't even worth that on kbb), they took $2800 as a "down payment" to my new car that i was supposed to swap out. Then they took the remaining of the forester minus the $2800 and added it to my new vehicle which was around $17k. Ended up having to finance a fortune for the legacy i ended up with which is only worth 7k max. I still to this day try and figure out how all of this happened and i cannot get ahold of the manager(s) read more

Prior service experiences were awful and my rating would've been a 2. Three reasons I gave Subarau another shot. 1. Pricing for my alignment was less then Subarau shops around 2. They were able to get me in right away 3. Coupon sent in text 4. Brake extended warranty letter received so wanted to have checked since one of my previous complaints on visit before; and was pretty much was told it was dirt making noise. See!! I knew it. So that's the back story.... Today I had Ethan as my service rep and he was awesome!! Honestly from the moment I drove up the service manager greeted me and had to reassigned me to Ethan as my person assigned was not in. There appears to be a whole new crew and management vibe - as I felt welcome'd by all, and genuine assisted today. I had taken the Subarau Survery before online & reported my previous visits disappointments, a manager did reach out but was still unresolved... and guess what it was the brakes along with poor service on SUV. So moral of story - report when service is poor - as the national Subarau dealer extended the warranty on brakes for my model ... and I was not wrong. Now I hope they follow thru as Ethan said my brakes are on back order weeks. Service is supposed to reach out once in. Again, could've been fixed long ago if they believed me. Kudos to new management on improving my experience today. Complete 360 with Ethan and pretty much every employee greeted me and made sure I was being helped. Service feedback so far....good ... hoping I can continue this positive feedback!! read more

They have horrible customer service!!!! the car he (SAYEED) sold to me had bunch of issues ( transmission, break pads, rotors, shifter, tires, powertrain malfunction and etc...) which i find out over times!! He sold 6000 $$ warranty which doesn't cover any of the issues that i had so far and he never responded his phone after selling the car to me when i tried to reach him about my concerns and questions!!!! I just can see that he read the message with no reply!!!!!Terrible customer service!!! read more

This is the place where I purchased my car from and it was wonderful. Unfortunately my experiences have only really gone down hill from there. I went today for an appointment to get something checked out and for an oil change, got told that the thing that needed checked out was actually going to take 5-6 hours (this was not communicated to me prior to arriving for this appointment) and so I opted to just get the oil change done and was told that they didn't have anyone available to do it. Mind you, somehow they had no one available to do the oil change that I set an appointment for. So, I ended up wasting 2 hours and a lot of gas to get this very out of the way dealer ship, just to be told they couldn't help me with anything. I'm going to start looking for other Subaru dealerships to get work done on my car. I'm leaving 2 out of 5 bc they are genuinely nice people, they just REALLY need to get their house in order. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had one of the most frustrating and dishonest experiences of my life at AutoNation Subaru Arapahoe while trying to purchase a 2023 Cadillac XT6. When I first saw the vehicle online, it looked clean with no visible issues. But when I arrived at the dealership, the front bumper was damaged and partially detached. There were also visible scratches on the body. The salesperson, Bryan Brown, assured me that all defects would be professionally repaired if I moved forward with the purchase. Trusting their word turned out to be a huge mistake. I bought the car based on that promise, but they didn't even give me the paperwork at the time. They said the documents would be ready once the repairs were complete. A few days later, I contacted Bryan. He told me the car was going through final detailing and would be ready soon. When I showed up to pick up the vehicle, the condition was shocking. The windshield was cracked, and some new scratches had appeared. It was clear they either didn't repair the car properly or didn't care enough to inspect it. The vehicle is coming from the inspection and repair, and they do not notice the huge crack on the windshield? How is even that possible? Bryan apologized and asked for a few more days. I waited again. Then--out of nowhere--he messaged me saying they weren't going to do any more work on the car and didn't want to waste my time anymore. After wasting two weeks of my time. I decided to return the car and requested a refund. Movin Dias assured me it would take "no longer than 3-4 business days." It took over a week. Worse, when I called to check if the refund was ready, they said yes--so I went to pick it up. They made me and my pregnant wife wait for two hours, only to say the check wasn't ready and that I should come back the next day. This entire process--from start to finish--was a complete nightmare. They didn't keep their word, wasted my time, held onto my money for weeks, and disrespected me and my family. They come across as friendly at first, but ultimately care only about themselves and the sale. Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with AutoNation--especially this location. I will never do business with them again, and I strongly urge others to stay away. read more
