If I could give zero stars, I would. I had one of the most frustrating and dishonest experiences of my life at AutoNation Subaru Arapahoe while trying to purchase a 2023 Cadillac XT6. When I first saw the vehicle online, it looked clean with no visible issues. But when I arrived at the dealership, the front bumper was damaged and partially detached. There were also visible scratches on the body. The salesperson, Bryan Brown, assured me that all defects would be professionally repaired if I moved forward with the purchase. Trusting their word turned out to be a huge mistake. I bought the car based on that promise, but they didn't even give me the paperwork at the time. They said the documents would be ready once the repairs were complete. A few days later, I contacted Bryan. He told me the car was going through final detailing and would be ready soon. When I showed up to pick up the vehicle, the condition was shocking. The windshield was cracked, and some new scratches had appeared. It was clear they either didn't repair the car properly or didn't care enough to inspect it. The vehicle is coming from the inspection and repair, and they do not notice the huge crack on the windshield? How is even that possible? Bryan apologized and asked for a few more days. I waited again. Then--out of nowhere--he messaged me saying they weren't going to do any more work on the car and didn't want to waste my time anymore. After wasting two weeks of my time. I decided to return the car and requested a refund. Movin Dias assured me it would take "no longer than 3-4 business days." It took over a week. Worse, when I called to check if the refund was ready, they said yes--so I went to pick it up. They made me and my pregnant wife wait for two hours, only to say the check wasn't ready and that I should come back the next day. This entire process--from start to finish--was a complete nightmare. They didn't keep their word, wasted my time, held onto my money for weeks, and disrespected me and my family. They come across as friendly at first, but ultimately care only about themselves and the sale. Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with AutoNation--especially this location. scheduled an appointment for today over two weeks ago for 45,000 mile check up drive approximately 45 miles to this facility to be told oh our systems are down everything will need to be done by hand! Oh and it's like three or four hour wait to even start on your service, really? The question was asked did it dawn on anyone to call people who had verified scheduled appointments, oh our phones are tied to the Internet and we weren't capable of doing that. I was passing through and needed a quick swap out from my 2013 Tacoma, to a new 2023 Tacoma TRD and had very little time to do so, as I was literally staying in a hotel while I waited to only give these idiots my money. I was absolutely crystal clear about this needing to be fast and not to move forward with me, unless she could perform. Diana said no problem and proceeded to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING over the next week. Never answered my questions Never returned my calls Never got back to me regarding the tiny 3K of financing (from a $38K total) And in fact, TOTALLY GHOSTED ON ME THE LAST FEW DAYS, trying to get a simple answer as to whether or not this deal was even possible. Awful human Now, because I had wrongly assumed Diana Thomas could do her job and simply answer a few questions and take my tens of thousands of dollars and a truck well over MSRP, I had already set up appointments in the area for a topper and modifications, so I was super screwed and looking at having to drive back to Omaha, NE and get a similar truck there or take a look through the Subaru Arapahoe roster and see if ANYONE was worth their salt. Luckily, I found Amire and he was amazingly reliable, available and personable enough to remind me that this whole thing was supposed to be fun and not a f'ing nightmare. I said all the same things to Amire that I did to Dirty Diana and he had EVERY part of the transaction completed in 1/2 a day for me. I was there the following day and everything was completed, although NOT happy with giving these guys my money at all!!! I absolutely needed to let the management know of the BEYOND unprofessional conduct to a "Daniel", who the office said was in charge, but AGAIN I called 5x and for 3 days trying to get some answers and let them know how close it all was to sabotage, but still haven't heard anything back from anyone, so surprise surprise the one eyed man is leading the blind over there. Overall friendly people to work with. Multiple scheduling problems in regards to appointments. We have tried online scheduling and calling yet we've show up multiple times and said we didn't have an appointment. Highly recommend using their direct number 720-895-0889. Also, had a service manager not able to tell us what was the issue with a maintenance repair. Very superficial response just saying it's fixed and it shouldn't happen again. I asked what happened or what parts failed and he could not answer that. Shows me leadership and training for this location is poor and customer service is very superficial. Plus side is I've tried many shops in the local area and trust and principles are no longer a viable thing. Going to the dealer you pay a little more but they warranty everything and keep records on your services. Good luck! read more

I had a few different cars in mind that I wanted to check out, and even on a Saturday afternoon I was able to test drive three cars and felt confident with my choice. I still do and it's been over a week; I have no regrets. This is the largest car dealership I've ever visited, so at first I was intimidated by all the action, yet it was great to have personalized assistance with my purchase, and so many choices. If I had a "do over", the only thing I would have changed might have been to go earlier in the week, such as monday through thursday. I think people are automatically defensive and wary of dealerships, we've probably all been burned by a sales person, or had a bad experience before. Thankfully, my experience at this dealership was polar opposite than that. I purchased my new car here in August. I would have driven my old car for another five years, but I was involved in an accident so the purchased came sooner than I had hoped. I worked with Q (Kwabena) and he was wonderful from start to finish. I did have to order the new car, so that added time to the process, but Q kept me updated and put up with my many emails checking on the status! He gave me sound advice about how to handle the trade in of my old car, the insurance, and making sure I got the most money for my downpayment. The sales manager did his job and offered the warranty (I'd be shocked if you found a place that didn't... that's how they make money!). Say yes or no, that's up to you. Q has also checked in with me a few times since I drove off the lot to make sure everything is still going well. He sent me an email that said "My job didn't end when you left the store, please know I'm always available to help." That's been completely true. Any questions I've had, he has responded quickly and kindly. I hope that I drive this Crosstrek for another 15 years, but I'll likely go to this dealership when I do need another new car! read more

I brought my brand new Subaru outback into AutoNation for a six month check up and an update on some computer glitch. I picked up the car and check to see if an oil change was done and an oil change was not done. I questioned my service manager and he said I didn't request an oil change. In my 50 years of driving and owning cars, I have never had this experience ever when you bring your car in for a mileage check up an oil change is always included. My service manager said I didn't request it then I got an insurmountable amount of patronization. The sales manager called me and again I got more patronization and didn't say that a six month oil change was part of the check up. I felt like I dealt with Mo, Larry and curly and this was my second attempt at AutoNation and I will never go back. I found out that the part that needed repair was under warranty and that Subaru would fix it. well.....because a "code" wasn't popping up that my thermo valve wasn't working properly, autonation Subaru was REFUSING to fix the problem. this was my second time going to them to try and fix the problem and they still REFUSED to fix it under warranty. so now I have to drive all the way to flat irons Subaru which is an hour away from me because they said that they would fix it with no issues, autonation subaru is a rip off and you should not take your vehicle here!! read more

UPDATE July 2022 Disappointed with my last appointment. I take time to drive to this location so that all my car records are in one location. After checking in, I was told it would be at least 2 hours. I walked to grab breakfast and was called back within 20 minutes. When I returned I was informed that an update should come sometime next week that will fix all of my issues. Keep in mind this appointment was 2 weeks in advance. Why couldn't the tell me over the phone that an update is coming rather than coming in to be told sorry you have to come back. Second disappointment. I asked if there were places to eat within walking distance of the dealership since they said it would take a couple hours. I was told, Chick Fil A and Starbucks. I was disappointed that the two places that were recommended were not only further way, but chains. There were at least 2 options that were locally owned and closer to the dealership that could have been recommended. Also, considering Subaru has a lot of LGBTQIA owners why would they recommend Chick Fil A who still to this day donates against the LGBTQIA community. read more

I took it into the dealership to have them order a part, (not sure why the customer has to do it and not the "certified technician") I was told that the part would cost about 168 dollars, but again the "certified technician" told me it was covered under warranty. Huge spacious waiting room, free coffee/tea, ample seating.. overall a very comfortable and open waiting area. Never felt like I was pressured into anything from by buying experience to the services I get done here. Everyone is super friendly and available to answer any questions & listen to any concerns. Before I bought my outback I had a 2011 forester and I brought that in to a Groove Subaru because it was making a whining noise, they told me it was totaled but I didn't think that was right, she was a great car, took her to auto nation Subaru and they tightened a belt and she was fixed! Not recommended. I selected a Honda Passport from this dealership on Saturday. I completed paperwork and provided $1000 in credit card payment that same day. I brought my cashier's check of $14,000 in to pick up my vehicle. The finance manager processed my $14,000 check THEN informed me that the sales rep who sold me the car had been arrested for DUI and was found with the keys to my car. The keys were now somewhere with police. The dealership denied having a second key. I requested that the key be reprogrammed once recovered for my safety. I was refused. I requested a loaner car until the situation was cleared up. No matter what I asked that day, I was refused despite having just paid for the car and completed paperwork. I was late to work despite clearing a 1.5-hour block to pick up the car. I even scheduled and informed finance ahead the serious time constraints around my job. Ultimately, they drove me home that day with no car and no clear plan for recovering my car or funds. I received a brief call and was told that the best way they could handle the problem was to call the deal off because reprogramming my key was not an option for them. I was not given any form of written documentation of the cancelled sale to accompany the news that day. I spent the day with police and the bank that day instead of enjoying my vehicle. Wait times were inappropriately long, in my opinion (nearly 8 hours to buy the car), I was given inaccurate information about their ability to work with my bank, and the car itself had not been cleaned when I arrived for my appointment. In my experience, this dealership did not demonstrate what most would consider to be appropriate service. I experienced disruptions to my job, I am now struggling with 3-month delay in recovering my funds, was served with a lack of clear documentation on the dealership's plan for cancelling the sale. It took three attempts to finally get appropriate documentation to protect myself. I spent the next day going through all my accounts placing safety measures in place to ensure that no further harm occurred. I would strongly recommend bypassing this dealership. Also, I was contacted by the dealership and was offered a $500 bribe to delete my review. read more

I told him I really appreciated his atypical 'car salesman' approach...in other words, no hard sale. He provided a lot of helpful info and was also able to answer all of our questions. Granted, we're in Denver, and for the most part, I'm guessing Subarus kind of sell themselves, but it was a very different experience from my other car-buying experiences in the past. Absolutely do not recommend anyone buy a vehicle from this dealer. We purchased a car and were told they still needed to do some work to it. We finally were able to pick up the car a week later on a Friday. Saturday going to emissions the check engine light turns on and we got denied. We brought the car back Monday and were told "this is a Subaru dealership we don't work on Audi, take it to an Audi dealer". We took it to Audi and everything Subaru "fixed" was still an issue. We were told they don't have to make a car pass emissions and we could bring the car in for an appraisal and trade it in. What a scam. Come to find out they put an aftermarket DEF injector in and obviously it is no good. We paid cash for this vehicle and now have to pay even more for this to be fixed correctly. So, we've purchased 3 vehicles from this particular Automation dealership, and all has been good, however, we haven't really needed their assistance, until now. And that's where things started to go wrong. We purchased a brand new Subaru Outback last April. With the current pandemic, it's barely been driven anywhere other than to the grocery store (my wife and I both work from home). Several months ago, we noticed that part of the body paneling in the driver's side door was starting to separate from the body of the car. Okay... Not normal and obviously a defect, but we figured that the dealership could easily re-secure it with a bit of adhesive (the same way its secured from the factory) and call it a day. Easy stuff, right? Wrong. We called the service department, gave them the low down on the issue, and also told them that there was an upgrade to the head unit that Subaru had put out that needed to be installed (the kind where the manufacturer tells you that, hey, this needs to be done, call your dealership and have it installed at no cost). So, we drive down (almost an hour, one way), drop the car off, and Chris (the service manager) tells us that he'll 'take care of it'. Great!! Well, by the time the vehicle was ready, it was completely dark outside. We pickup the vehicle, and ask Chris (no less than 3 times) if the paneling was properly re-secured. He assures us that it is. So, we hop in the car, and drive home. The next morning, we clearly see that the work was never done, as the paneling is just hanging there, separated from the body. So, we immediately contact Chris (who now suddenly can't verify whether it was actually taken care of) and he asks us to send pictures. Which okay, you just had the vehicle, told us that fixed the issue, but now need pictures after we've left your shop? Anyways, we send him the pictures... And this is where the story ends. We've spent the last two weeks calling Chris, texting Chris, calling Justin, the service manager, and we've been completely ignored. No response. No accountability. Nothing. This is truly a case of, "thanks for your purchase, we've received your $40K for this new vehicle, now piss off". After being competely dismissed and ignored with a complete lack of communication and accountability, I cannot, in good faith, recommend this dealership any longer. They have 100% proven that they care about bottom line profit over their customers, without realizing that both go hand in hand. Stay. Away. From. This. Dealership. read more
