AUTONATION RESPONDED TO MY REVIEW AND HAD ME EMAIL THEM DETAILS BEFORE CONTACTING ME - BUT THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME! THE BAD REVIEWS ARE TRUE! Their Autonation dealer Mountain View BMW in CA just sold me a 2025 preowned BMW M850i in TX for over $100k and when it arrived it turned out they 100% lied to me and misrepresented its condition. They won't take my calls or respond to my emails, texts or honest reviews. When you can't be there to inspect the car they offered online, you have to rely on their integrity and professionalism. I asked their sales manager Don to point out any flaws in the like-new car with 6,300 miles, and specifically asked him to confirm the condition of the wheels, which he said were perfect. Yet when the car arrived, one of the wheels was actually bent! The local BMW dealership said it couldn't be repaired, and a new wheel costs $1,400! This is why car dealers have a bad name. Who does business like that? Why a premium brand like BMW would give a dealership to a crooked company like Autonation is beyond me. I also requested the premium car be shipped in an enclosed carrier and paid extra for it. The car arrived in an open carrier and was absolutely filthy! The dealership lied to me and it turns out took their open carrier cost and added 25% to it and ripped me off twice. They agreed to send me a check for $125 to have it detailed, but then never sent me a check. Unbelievable! It's all about the money with corporate Autonation, and let the customer be damned. Absolutely awful communication. They responded quickly to my initial inquiry. I then told them I would purchase the vehicle. They then proceeded to ghost me for three days. I would attempt to reach out to them each day with no response. On day four I finally got a response, they sold the car the day before. I passed on many other vehicles during this exhibition in awful communication and unprofessionalism. First time I've had an issue with an AutoNation. I used to be a big fan of AutoNation and had relied on them in the past. If you expect even average communication I'd look elsewhere. If you desire atrocious communication this is your place! Snakes! They lure you in with instant offers online, then Bait and Switch you to a lower offer for thousands less. Said the online offer was "California Prices." I gave them three opportunities to buy two different vehicles. I sat there for hours all three times. If you try to sell your car to them, they WILL waste your time. They were more than $12,000.00 lower than another competitor's offer. Wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. I purchased a vehicle ( 2017 Lexus RX 350, 53,999 miles) from Autonation on Friday November 29th 2024. I began having problems the very next day. Tire sensor came on. Tire pressure was 42lbs** on right front tire and a bad tire sensor. Once the air pressure was corrected, I began hearing loud clunking noise on turns, front driverside. It was the weekend so I waited until Monday to call and report it to them, well with in the 5 day 500 mile refund policy. They test drove it and said it was the back shocks, nothing wrong with the front. They stated they would order parts come back next Monday or Tuesday. Each day, the noise on the drivers side got worse. I took it back again. Waited 2 hours waiting for them to test drive and diagnose. They said the "front Ball Joints" were bad. Told me again they would order parts for the next week Monday or Tuesday. They stated the rear shocks came in but they forgot to order the brackets. Tire sensor had not been ordered. 2 weeks out, the car drove so terribly I returned to the dealership again on a Friday. Sat for hours waiting for their diagnosis. Said they will order 2 new "Ball Joints and sway bar" ... next Monday or Tuesday, that it was "safe to drive" The car truly felt unsafe to drive so I requested a loaner. They said no, until I just planned to sit there until I had something safe to drive​​. They came with a loaner until they could get it repaired next week, this was on Friday. They called 9am on Saturday saying it was ready they had donethe Ball joints and shocks. One of the "managers" confirmed the condition of the front end was "life threatening" and "they have to hold their setvice department accountable." Within a few days, the rear shocks went bad. Diagnosed by an outside auto shop. "Both rear shocks" were bad. I went back to the dealership. They will order factory shocks and fix next Monday or Tuesday. It's now Christmas a month later. The driving I did was shopping for a new car because I didn't think they could actually fix it. On new years eve i finally got the car in good running condition! The car is 8 years old, 54k miles, and needed new shocks, bar joints and sway bar. Suspicious of the low milage with the #of years. ** there are spots inside the speedometer glass/plastic. The way I was disrespected and talked down to by these people is ridiculous. I had to fight them from black Friday to new years eve. I was at the dealership 12-15 times trying to resolve this. All I asked for was an extension of the 90 day warranty but they refused to make any compensation for putting my life in danger​ read more

Never thought I would be able to say this, but shopping for a car was actually enjoyable! There was no pressure, no hidden 'dealership fees', and no attempts to compromise on my wish list. Our sales manager, George, listened to what I wanted and found the perfect vehicle that had just arrived on the lot. He took the time to keep me up to date during the inspection process and delivered on every promise. His sales person, Miguel, took me for the test drive and when my husband got off work, he again repeated the process (including requests for different road conditions, etc). At signing of the contract, there were no unexpected ADD ON charges. Every expense and line item was what we anticipated based on our research. I have never had this kind of an experience purchasing a vehicle! My husband and I were looking to purchase a Jeep Gladiator. It was a Sunday and they seemed to be short staffed. We were there literally for 5-6 hours. We were the last couple to get processed. The finance person was very chatty and all I wanted to do is get the truck and go home. He asked me if I wanted any extended warranty, dent and scratch, gap insurance, etc... I told him no since the jeep was like new a 2022 with only 31,000 miles on it. It would still be under factory warranty. I did however opt in for the service agreement (Even though my husband didn't want me too) I liked the fact that they have mobile service and they would come to me to do my oil changes and tire rotation! I signed my name to the Ipad one time. The finance guy used my first signature for everything else. After a couple of days I had not received my paperwork. I had called in they kept telling me they would be getting the email to me a soon. My husband wanted to take my jeep from Florida to Ohio hunting so I called to have the mobile service come do an oil change since there were no stickers on the windshield to let me know when I needed a service. They informed me that I DO NOT have a service agreement... I explained that I do but I had only owned the Jeep for a couple weeks. They told me to call back in a week and the paperwork should be processed. So I waited another week, called and this time they informed me that I only have an extended warranty and scratch and dent protection.... THAT IS NOT WHAT I AGREED TO! So I went to the dealership to speak to the finance guy. As I was heading to his office a salesman tried to stop me, told me that he was in a meeting, I ask if the person he was meeting was more important than a pissed off customer, promptly an other gentleman tried to help and told me he was in a meeting with the General Manager! HE WAS BEING FIRED!!! I spoke to his replacement, who was suppose to move everything from my loan that I did not agree ($10,500 from the principle) My first payment was due on 11/30/2024 it is now 12/5/2024 and I still have yet to receive my paperwork! I purchased a Merc C300 Coupe for my wife and we had an issue with the car. When I called the location to have the vehicle checked out the manager didn't honor the purchased warranty agreement. However it was within the purchase agreement. The way I was treated pissed me off. I was going to purchase another vehicle from them but they made my decision for me lost a customer for life. I wish I had known more about vehicles before I went in. We found a truck we liked it was for $19,000--21,000 after everything was said and done. We were already pre-approved by our bank for the loan at 8% interest we brought the paperwork with us. Long story short, the dealership said they could do a better price if we went through them for financing. Four hours later, my husband signed the papers, and we left. They said they would mail us all the paperwork. Two days in, things started falling off the truck. Literally falling off. The hard top bed cover snapped in half because a cut-up license plate held it together. The bug shield flew off while driving, the review mirror fell off things of that nature. I should have just returned the truck then, but I didn't. However, I asked for a copy of our paperwork again and was told it was coming in the mail. Mail finally arrived, and I got our first bill. No copy of our signed contract, though, even after asking multiple times. The truck was financed for $26,520.00 plus our 3,000 down for tags and stuff, so a grand total of 29,520 with an interest of around 20%. The 19,000 truck, after all is said and done and paid for, is 50,000. The bank will only refinance what the vehicle is valued at, which is 17,000, plus a slightly higher interest since our credit was run through many of their lenders to get their "better deal." Oh, and our phone number was sold, so we now have an out-of-country company calling our phone multiple times a day, including in the middle of the night, to sell a warranty on the truck, which already has a warranty on it that we specifically said multiple time we did NOT want. If they had been honest upfront and told us the 19,000 was the cash in hand and the finance price would be different, we would have just paid that and had a great experience. Unfortunately, that's not the case. When I called about it, their response was, "It's 27,000, not really that big of a difference from 19,000, is it? You could just pay off that amount." Super unprofessional. But I have learned an expensive and valuable lesson. read more

‼‼‼ please do not buy a car from this place. My 18yr old daughter bought a car from here and not even 3 weeks later she was going 70mph on the highway and the car shut off. THREE WEEKS after buying the car. I had to pay to have it towed to the dealership. I spoke with the maintenance manager who told me a proper inspection wasn't done on the car because it came from another dealership and they needed cars for the late opening of the dealership. I spoke with the manager Mike who told me none of that was said to me and the conversation was recorded. He refused to email me the recorded conversation but I know what was said to me. We just got the car back yesterday after paying $1000 for them to fix it and it still isn't fixed. Now when the headlights turn on the car shuts off. Once again we only had the car for 3 weeks. Just because it's an older car doesn't mean it's ok that they didn't check it completely before selling it. They sold us a lemon and they are not willing to fix the situation so make sure you don't get tricked like we did. read more
