Purchased a VW Tiguan in Mar 2023. Have had issues no stop since that time. Key Fob died within a month. A/C issues. Tires replaced. Transmission replaced. I've spent 10k on repairs. Word of advice DO NOT BUY anything from autonation VW. Purchased a Tiguan Dec 26,2025 it's been in the shop for a week the vehicle was purchased with navigation. I took it in to be activated and to have a missing bolt and clip installed. Was told the vehicle came from the manufacturer with the wrong software the service tech then took it upon himself to delete it and installed new software without my knowledge or permission. The vehicle then started to have glitches (that I have on video and was witnessed by 2 employees) and I was told that videos don't prove anything by VW. Since they fixed the error now and installed the correct software the items I had when I purchased that are missing now don't matter and I have to just go without them. I also have witnessed them driving the vehicle after they said they were done with it to go eat lunch and sit near 5 guys for over an hour. I got an alarm on my car that said the brake system had an error. Took car to Autonation because it turned out the ABS control module went bad. They quoted $4991 for the repair. This is a 2011 Jetta, and I could have gotten a used car for that. Doing some research, I found out the OEM replacement part was around $1500, and they wanted to charge $3500 for labor. I believe they were trying to incentivize me to get a new car because they were offering to buy my car off of me despite the monstrous price of the repair. I'll never do business with them again. I ended up selling my car third party and then found out I could have gotten a non-OEM part for much cheaper and went to another dealer to do the programming. I think what makes me angry is because I believed them when they told me how much it would cost to make the repair, and I sold my car before I realized otherwise. read more

Don't trust this dealer - take their word WITH A GRAIN OF SALT! Terrible experience with the GM, Laurin Hanna. Worked with Ben, a salesman on an incoming Golf R and Richard Stodhill, the Sales Manager. Ben said they were selling $5k over sticker when I called. I told him I'd think about it. A couple hours later I received a written quote from the Richard, the Sales Manager. Some expensive "packs" were added. I assumed that to be the mark-up rather than $5k. Shortly afterwards, Richard called and apologized. He said to compensate for the hassle he'd reduce the mark-up to $3,000. I said ok and paid a deposit. Today, he called at 7 am! I was asleep. He left no message. He called again stating the Ms. Hanna refused to honor the agreement! So unprofessional and disrepectful. What crappy customer service! Sad that VW is already trying to play catchup in the US. This dealership doesn't help. I'm upset and have never been treated like this by any dealership. Or are all VW dealers like this? I hope VW figures it out. I do NOT recommend AutoNation VW, particularly the one in Columbus GA. Poor management, disorganized, and it's clear under the current General Manager (L. Hanna) the right hand has no clue what the left is doing. She had zero problem telling me to F*** off. But, that's the game she plays. I will not give this company any stars. The service department will never call you and they will not speak to you on the phone. When you go in and inquire about your vehicle they will tell you any lie they can to get you out of their face. I dropped the vehicle off for an oil change and paid extra for a recommendation of service inspection. Based off "their" recommendation, I asked that the leaky sunroof be repaired immediately. The vehicle never left their lot. They did not even give the keys back to me. I asked that they immediately fixed this problem to prevent damage to the vehicle. They left it parked outside and forgot about it. They didn't even put a car cover over it. I dropped the vehicle off to them 6 months ago and it still in their possession. Now all of the the electronics and connections have so much standing water and mold on the vehicles interior surfaces that I question the integrity of this compromised vehicle. If you go to this location for services ensure that your automobile insurance policy is up-to-date so that you can sue them after they Duck up ^ your car! I distrust this company so much that I recorded my last conversation with their service manager. I came in to ask about the problem with the vehicle and why it's been 5 months and we haven't gotten any kind of notification about its status. Go to your camera on your smart device and hit record then put it in your back pocket before going in and talking to these people. Make sure you record all phone conversations with these people If you're lucky enough to get them to speak to you on the phone. Maybe in the future they can at least hire homing pigeons to send you messages taped to their legs because they can't grasp the concept that it's a 21 century and that people can receive text messages on their smart devices. I have purchased three VW's from this location. I dealt with Carl Gregory VW for those autos. I was always pleased with my interactions there. Recently, I had to take my TDI Passat in for warranty work and this has completely turned me against this dealership. My modification scheduled ahead of time. It was to take 9 hours. That was what I heard on Monday morning just after 8 AM. I have reached out daily for the first week and now on Thursday afternoon, 10 days later -still no car. I haven't received a call about my car's repair status once. I would not recommend the service department. If I could have rated zero stars - I would have. read more

Incapable and dishonest Dealer/Service department. I have been dealing with them since 15 April 2019. My car has been in eight times and every time they came up with something new to fix or something like "the car just needs a computer update". What they are not aware of is that we have been getting second and third opinions and codes. The bottom line is the original issue that brought us in to get fixed is still an issue after a lot of money and time, SEVEN months. Bought a car from here and the day after lights came on for repair only to find out they sold me a car with back electrical parts. You think it'd be covered under warranty but it wasn't, even the day after the purchase. Terrible business operation and not the first time they've sold a dangerous vehicle. Extremely disappointed by the service I received. They overcharge for simple things and overlook severe issues. I came in to get my car an oil change, a multipoint inspection, and a new key ( over $500+ worth of service). Within a week my lights started coming on (oil included) I went in and they told me I possibly had an issue with whatever makes my dashboard lights go off located near the engine. They explained to me this wasn't a severe issue and it would not cause my car any problems. I also was having issues with my coolant pressure, I was told by VW associates that could possibly be because of the device that was supposedly located by my engine was causing that. Almost 2 weeks later from my second check in with VW I had an oil pressure light come on telling me to immediately turn off my car. I assumed it was because the temperature gauge for my coolant was high. I tried pouring coolant in my car and noticed it would not stay in the reservoir at all (coolant was not under my car). I immediately took my car to VW the next day to figure out what the issue was, I waited for 30 minutes for them to tell me I had an issue with my coolant flange and the repair would cost $500+. I am not upset at the price of the repair, I am upset at the timeline. It is April 15th I have been trying to get this issue resolved since March 12th. The general manger of the store, Ken Mcspadden called me and told me to send him the papers I received but never continued the process. Corporate has been saying they were going to call but have not. I HIGHLY suggest you just take a trip to Atlanta or Union City to an actual VW. Auto Nation Volkswagen is no good. They bribe people to give good reviews in exchange for a free oil change. That gives you an idea for how shallow this location is. read more

If I could mark 0 stars I would. I have had to take the car I just purchased in March to be serviced more times than I can count. And yet today once again, after taking the car in on Wednesday and being told there was nothing wrong, I find out there is a leak in the coolant. Hence why it's overheating. They do not care about you or what they are selling you. There is no quality check in any way shape or form. I can probably take out three people from this that have actually tried to help me. Other than that... I have no desire to refer or buy a car ever in any of their facilities ever again. They know they didn't sell me a car that was good. From the license plate issues that NO ONE called me about, to the mechanical issues I have had since buying it, I have had no resolution. But I have given them enough chances to try and rectify their mistake. Corporate doesn't care either. Since after having reached out to them once again nothing was done. But in any case, look for other dealerships. These people are just going to take your money and not care about what they are selling you because they know legally there is nothing anyone can't do. This car dealership is no good! It sucks. Can never get ahold of someone. Also bought a 2019 and had it for 12 days before it had to be returned and was in service for 43 days so the corporate office had us with a 2020 when it came out brand new. Then I signed my name of my ex wife's car and still it's on my credit and it's been over 6months now and of course cannot get ahold of anyone there no matter how many messages I leave everyday. It's like they're afraid to answer my phone calls. Anyways I have Been no longer responsible for the car and now on the phone with corporate. VW hope you figure it out. Sad this Dealership needs to be shut down. Please nobody buy from hear! I'll update you all on my progress if I receive any. Thanks. VW hope you get this and fix my issue as to the documents I signed my name off and no longer have the car and then ex wife traded that in for a new car which paid off the whole balance and she got her new car in her whole name and ate the negative equity too. do not use this dealership. the people that work here are not helpful at all. trying to have my tdi bought back, the vw reperesentitive was rude. when he gave me a card after refusing to finish my paperwork it did not even have his name on it. i called back several times, only got voicemail. finally left my info with general manager. when i asked for the reps name was refused the information. never ever ever buy a volkswagen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheating company, poor service from dealership afterwards. read more
